Hi everyone,
First of all, welcome back and many thanks for everyone’s patience as we worked to restore the PlayStation Store! It’s been more than a month now since our last PlayStation Plus update, but with the Store back up and running we have some great announcements about free games, discounts and exclusives for Plus subscribers – all coming to you in two publishes: June 3 and June 7.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce Morgan Haro, Community Manager for PlayStation Network. Morgan joined the PlayStation team back in March and he’ll be answering your questions and offering feedback in the comments section.
Rockstar Games have announced the full details of L.A. Noire’s extensive list of downloadable content. Starting today, and continuing through the summer months, several standalone cases, collectibles and challenges will be released via PlayStation Network, including all of the pre-order exclusive unlockable bonus content as well as a free downloadable weapon.
Starting today, players will be able to purchase the L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass, a new way to pre-order and purchase DLC that gives players access to all of the upcoming downloadable content for L.A. Noire, available for a limited-time (until June 16th) discounted price of just $9.99 on PlayStation Network.

We’ve gotten a lot of questions via our NaughtyDog.com blog comments, Facebook Wall posts and Twitter asking if there will be a Collector’s Edition of UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception when the game is released in November 2011. Today, we can reveal the answer as a very definite YES for our fans in North America!
As you can see in the image above, the Collector’s Edition comes with a functional Traveling Chest replica which stores all of the other aspects to our Collector’s Edition – exclusive Steelbook case for UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, a full size replica of Drake’s belt buckle from UNCHARTED 3, a full size replica of Drake’s necklace which includes Sir Francis Drake’s ring, and exclusive statue of Nathan Drake from Sideshow Collectibles.

Hi everyone, it’s Jonathan Mak here. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on the PlayStation.Blog
I don’t have any pictures of my basement this time around (I’ve moved!), but I do have a video of a new NGP game I’m working on called “Sound Shapes.” Sound Shapes is both a musical instrument and a classic 2D platformer. You can use it to make music, but then you can “play” that music like it’s a video game. It’s kind of hard to describe in words so check out the video!
The project started out as a collaboration between myself and Shaw-Han Liem, but has since grown to include several pairs of helping hands. We’re pulling all nighters right now to cram one more level/song into our E3 demo. If you’re around, come by the Sony booth and try it out!

As a fan of arcade racers and an evangelist for all things fast, my face melted off with a recent build of Wipeout (working title) specifically built from the ground up for NGP.
Game director, Stu Tilley promises the biggest Wipeout experience to date; with ten brand new tracks, 20 brand new ships, new game modes and weapons. My favorite feature and new to PlayStation, is cross-platform-gaming. Load up your copy of Wipeout HD on your PS3 and you’ll be able to race up against seven NGP opponents in online multiplayer sessions. Mix and match the variety of PS3s and NGPs racers however you like, bringing the world of Wipeout seamlessly together with the power PSN.
Learn more details in the video above, which also showcases how Tilley and his team took advantage of NGP’s touch technology, dual cameras and built-in gyros.

Until very recently, only a handful of people outside of Sony had ever laid their hands on an NGP unit. People would ask me what I thought about the upcoming handheld, and I’d have to reply with: “It looks really good.” I hadn’t had the chance to play it either.
That’s why we invited the cream of the gaming press crop onto a Sony Pictures soundstage in LA, where they (and we) could finally spend hours experiencing some of the titles that will comprise the NGP’s diverse launch lineup. Straight off, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, made it clear what the day was all about:
“We’ll talk more about social connectivity features down the line – today is about showing off the core games and getting you hands-on time. I’m sure you have burning questions on launch date, pricing, 3G data plans, and we’ll be very happy to share all those with you moving forward.”
