PSN pass… well my thoughts on it. Well Insomniac Games is now owned by EA so I don’t see how this is shocking people they done it for ever. And it’s nice to see Insomniac has sold its soul to the Devil. And no I’m not bashing Insomniac I love them to death. But I think it’s BAD BUSINESS. I just really HATE EA with a passion.
im not paying for no online pass everytime i buy a used copy yall must be crazyyyyy as hellllll. new games are already to much money 60 bucks plus tax almost makkes them 70, of course i rether wait for price drop or used copy. though i did pay full price for the new Mortal Kombat that i loveee, and anything from rockstar specialy grand theft auto tittles are day one purchase. i have also got a couple sony exclusive games at full price to. most my games i got for 30 or less, i believe all games should be 40 the most.

Anything you purchase as a plus member, even at discounted prices is yours, so yes you can keep it.
Only free games and most free dlc you get through plus expires.

That looks like some great content. I may just have to subscribe to PS+ if it keeps up like this. I’ll save my judgement until the end though. Although if you guys made some small changes to Plus I know that would make me join and for several years. Those changes being…
– Automatic Download becomes Standard for both PS+ and non PS+ members
– The Addition of the Qriocity Music service (Basic or Premium) heck if it was the premium service I’d probably pay up to $70 annually for PS+ ;-)
Blanket % discounts across all content (i.e 5% off all mini’s, 10% off all PS1 Games, 10%-20% off all DLC, 15%-20% off all PSN Games and 20%-50% off all PS3 Games available to download off the PSN.
I’d ask for more but I know that if this was implemented it would definitely get me and MANY MANY others to subscribe to PS+.

I will no doubt buy your 1st party games new this year but the idea of a 1st party publisher using an online pass is IMO ridiculous and I’ve stood by Sony’s decisions for quite some time now but this is foolish especially after the PSN fiasco that happened 3 months ago that tarnished Sony’s reputation the gaming space. People already have an iffy opinion of whether or not to play on PSN and from my gameplay experiences, 1st party PS3 games (Uncharted notwithstanding) have a very small online community. You are halving your online userbase by instituting these in your games, especially Resistance 3 and Twisted Metal, two games that are getting a lot of attention for their multiplayer. I want to be able to play with hundreds of thousands of people in Resistance 3 and Twisted Metal not ten thousand…these games have online campaign co-op, and regardless of whether they bought the games used I want to be able to play with them as well.
You advertise with the words “free online gaming,” how is charging $9.99 (assuming) for a PSN Pass free??? You might as well remove that statement from each newly printed PS3 box because its officially not true anymore.

Hey man I hear ya, I bought almost every “free game” given in PS+ and Qore at full price when they released, then months later “here have a free copy of that game you already own”, LOL>
I already owned all 5 of the welcome back games too, purchased at full price too.
So I have paid into QORE since it released, and into plus since December of 2010.
Sony needs to stop and think, lots of people are noticing this and its unacceptable.
Plus and QORE are only for people new to PS3, the most loyal fans get the royal screw.
Remember Sony talkin about an incentive program for those who spend lots? I have spent over $300 easy on PSN in these past 4-5 years, wheres my bone?

*yawn* I’m a pretty strong PS player and almost always purchase the great new psn titles when they are released. Same goes with disc based games. I will not be renewing my ps+ because week after week it is old titles being released. Kudos to PS for releasing these games in such a great package, but I am a hardcore player and there is no benefit for me :( BTW, same goes with the Welcome Back program. I already purchased every game that was made available. I would have much rather received a credit to my account instead of selecting from the digital version of disc games I already own.
Im not trying to hate or anything, I just feel that since I by all the grade A titles when they launch, that all these extra things that Sony does really do not effect me or reward my loyalty as much as the more casual player. Just sayin…

I’m trying to Download Medevil and Streets of Rage 2, but can not! I can click on download, but after doing so a blank blue screen appears with the “continue shopping” option being the only thing to select. Every person on my friends list is having the same problem. Any idea on if this can be looked at?

The Borderlands offer is amazing. With the plethora of titles that are out, plenty of people have not had the opportunity to experience a great game…and now with all of the bells and whistles.
Don’t mean to be a party-pooper but with all these recent Sega Genesis classics releasing (Sonic Golden Axe, etc.), it seems much more economic to just buy the disc-based game Ultimate Genesis Collection for less than $20 … it seems that pretty much every game they’re releasing little by little for $4.99 a pop is available on that disc plus many, many more.

Considering that we don’t know the details of the PSN Pass, it could simply lock out level gaining after a certain level (capped at level 10), or restrict the classes you can play in class-based MP games. Since buying a game new would come with the pass as part of the purchase, the online play is free and included with the game. So yes, PSN still has free online play, since I don’t see them suddenly charging us fees to play CoD:MW2/BO or Uncharted 2 online. And in all the “interview” snippets I’ve read about it, it’s been said this will only apply to certain games, not every single game they publish. And don’t even complain about a first-party publisher instituting an online pass. That’s exactly what Microsoft did with Live. You have to pay a minimum of $5 a month (at $60 a year) in order to play ANYTHING online.
why am i getting forworded messeges on my playstation saying if i pass on the messege to all my friends, i get all free call of duty games including blackops, plus a years free with playstation plus, plus £250 put into my playstation account, i think its a skam and am worried whether it might have a virus or something to effect the systems that the messege gets sent to, has anyone got any clue of what i could be and what i should do?

Enough with pushing the Sega classics already as free games for PS+. It’s already insulting the intelligence of your customers to be offering these games at all for $5 apiece when you can get ALL of them for $10-15 by going out and buying the Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection.
As I always say, for the most part I’m satisfied with PS+, but every time I see this it frustrates me to no end.

Alright, so I’m all for the full game trial, but please tell me that means I’ll be able to buy it via PSN store? That’s, to be honest, the only reason I could be excited about AC: Brotherhood free trial; even though the Borderlands deal is pretty boss.
does the playstation plus subscription plan, have a service or program for users(like me) that have a broken PS3? My PS3 died via (YLOD) on the first week of the uncharted 3 beta. Now i have a large paper weight in the form of a PS3, and a service i payed for that i can not use. i just want to play my PS3, and so does my girlfriend (Wattster47). Any info would greatly welcome

To all asking AC Brotherhood is available in the ps store to buy because i just bought AC 3 days ago. I seen Morgan talking about on this blog so i went and coped it from the store. Its a great game i must say i gettting brotherhood when i finish with the first one.
