  • Yeah, that free month of PS+ blew pretty hard. Woo hoo, I saved $5 on Borderlands.

There’s all this stuff that’s FREE (if you maintain a subscription) but PS+ gets no decent discounts on regular stuff. They show no love to this BS First Class Customer program they offer when they hold your games hostage with subscriptions.

Then, the items up for discount are like bargain bin offerings to begin with. I don’t think I’m too niche a gamer to be thoroughly unimpressed by Plus’s offerings. I know you can’t please EVERYONE all of the time, but not a single thing appealed to me outside of the Borderlands sale (which was just another $5 off the $10 sale) and I think I’m relatively easy to please some of the time. And they had a month.

  • @190
    I beg to differ.
You cannot please everyone all of the time.
Even though I like you do not have PS+, I see it as a valid option, and not a forced premium as you state.
Almost every week there is something good for Plus users. and plus usere usualy always get the throwback games first. Early access to betas, full game trials, free dynamic themes etc, etc.
Its an option, If you do not want to pay for it, DONT, bottom line.
As far as I know, offering a way to rent games through psn will be a killing blow to sony. Why rent you inFAMOUS 2 at (insert price here), when they can sell it to you for $59.99. They would loos so much money, it would be the end of full game sales as we know it on psn. Silly idea.
PsOne classics is also a big question mark. sony does not own all rights to all psOne games. So im pretty sure they have to wait for approval from the publishers/developers for the green light to release their game on psn…
I like you, wait week after week for top teir psOne games and sometimes get fustrated, but we must all have some patience sometimes..
    Keep on Gamin.

  • Not at all pleased w/these recent PSN updates..As a PS+ member i would say “Welcome to EPIC FAILville”….

  • Look, I’m not going to get into a Debate Club brawl with you, but:

    1) I never stated or implied that the premium is a requisite.

    2) I stated that you cannot please everyone all of the time already. Apparently you read the word “can” where I wrote “can’t” in my reply.

    3) I stated that I was unimpressed with my free month of PS+ and would not be subscribing. Your informing me that I don’t have to pay for what I don’t like is thus redundant and demonstrated poor reading comprehension on your part.

And if the PSN started up its own rental service, then they would be the ones getting the money, not GameFly or whatever. That’s not even remotely the death sentence for full game sales or Sony losing money.

  • @Hooligantuan,
that comment was not ment for you knid sir.

  • Could you PLEASE release Castlevania Harmony of Despair before the stupid Gamescon in Germany?. Been waiting a year to plays this game. It kinda sucks that we have to wait till some random show in another country to play it here.

  • @115, Healey- I was talking about the special edition, I should’ve added that in.You can’t defend the rip-off they’re pulling here, I was trying to find the reason why they think $29.99 was a price people would actually pay. My only excuse for them was that in stores – the game sells for $29.99.

  • Now I am starting to think the PS+ membership is worth it! Keep the good freebies coming!

  • nothing looks interesting

  • Sony stop spamming my Inbox! What is it? are you Disperately Seeking Susan? Or to make me buy your fake junk? Sorry I’m not falling for your BS Didn’t you do enough by not giving me that free Promotion for Wipeout HD? Instead all I got was Dead Nation and the rest cheesy PSP games that take up way to much memory An example would have to be Little Big Planet! and that other game so poorly made Killzone Resistance! … Dam your a greedy a^^ Company SNEA!

  • Sony sells there games mostly to kids now I guess nobody reads the ESRB anymore.. Sad Generation that we have to deal with today. No more respect for your elders or people who are just 10-40 years older then these kids today!

  • What’s going on with From Dust by Ubisoft? Isn’t there a demo on the XBL Market? Why nothing for Playstation?

  • Instead of ordinary demos why not have the demos from E3 2011 playable for 60 minutes SCEA? I would definitely then join PS Plus but I still think you guys should have dedicated servers! I mean don’t you think its about
time you had more control over whats coming in and whats going out on the PlayStation Network by now? You see this is why Xbox Live rules over the PSN any day Sony! You guys need to make a change asap! Otherwise you will fail and have more network intrusions hopefully you don’t have those issues in 2012!

  • No Plus is greedy money from SCEA! So get this you join but if you leave you get screwed because they take each game back that to me is dirty money from Sony! Microsoft would never do this to there loyal costumers! Dumb ideas from dumb people who work for Sony or whatever it is now! SCEA “Money doesn’t grow on trees! But you figure it works out by milking one franchise after the next! Ridiculous!!

  • Ps plus is great. You only lose the free games, you don’t lose the games you get for sale. I love the 50% discounts, beta access, and free games.Big deal if you lose them when plus expires. I have ps plus for 14 more months, and by then i”ll be bored with those games anyway. Plus you get qore free every month that’s $25 a year by itself.

  • I finally broke down and bought suikoden off the store yesterday. I’ve thought about buying it before, but the political story and large scale battles looked kinda boring to me. Well I was jonesing for an old old school rpg, so I tried it. It is amazing!! So now I gotta ask are we ever gonna get suikoden 2 on the store? It’s going for $130 on ebay used. I need this game, but not gonna pay that much.

  • I know it’s not you that create those games, but I’m pretty sure you can ask the right persons to make it happen

Final Fantasy from the beginning to VI we got the IV already and I’m very happy to have it on my psp, but I would really like to play all those I never could because I don’t speak Japanese.

Final fantasy Crisis Core on the ps store, I got a psp go so I can’t play it.

Is it possible to have a section for PS2 games I don’t know, but I think it is possible to make them compatible with all PS3 and put them on the ps store. I understand that the code are’nt the same on the PS2 dvd’s, but If programmers can create games and publish it for many consoles I wouldn’t understand why they couldn’t do it for PS2 games, with a few changes I guess they can make it work.

  • how bout some old school wrestling games for ps1 classics instead of garbage i have all the good classics i would like more even the wii pumped out a wrestling game to download

  • Hey Morgan idk if ull respond or not but ive been a long time sony supporter ever since i was born i think i had a ps1 and i have bought all the systems you guys have realesed ps1 ps2 ps3 psp and all I ask if u guys is when Crash Bash will arrive on psn its been on Japans Psn for 3 Years what could possibly be stopping you guys from putting it up and whats up with the Dead Psp content havent seen anything good since the outage on psn ??
