We are excited to announce that PlayStation has partnered with DIRECTV to bring its popular sports subscription service, NFL SUNDAY TICKET, to the PlayStation 3 game console. PlayStation owners across the country will now have the opportunity to watch every out-of-market Sunday game on their PS3.
How do you get in the game? At the start of the season, viewers who do not currently have access to DIRECTV will be able to subscribe to NFL SUNDAY TICKET at the season price of $339.95. Existing DIRECTV customers who already have NFL SUNDAY TICKET and NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go through DIRECTV can access the service on their PS3 for no additional charge.
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is a DIRECTV-exclusive sports package that offers:
- Up to 14 NFL games every Sunday
- Full HD for every football game
- DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel
We know that PlayStation fans are huge sports enthusiasts, so adding NFL SUNDAY TICKET is the perfect complement to the PS3’s rapidly growing lineup of sports entertainment, including MLB.TV and NHL GameCenter. This is HORRIBLE! I was so excited about getting to watch the games I wanted to watch this season, only to get let down! First quarter is almost over and I have been able to see about 3 minutes between freezing and then jumping to different parts of the game. I knew this was too good to be true! And I don’t even need to mention that it’s definitely not full HD….are you kidding me? I have a feeling there will be a lot of Sunday Ticket customers demanding refunds! If this isn’t fixed by next week I will be!
Sad…… Waited all this time for crappy service. This isn’t worh a dime. Quick to grab our money, slow to do anything else.
This totally sucks I saw the first mion or so and then all it does is freeze. They better refund some of our money this is total BS.

Anything to say Sony, Playstation, DTV….anyone? I’m really hoping for some reassurance that my money wasn’t wasted.
This is shockingly bad. It just cuts back and forth between freezing. I’ve seen probably 2 minutes of the first quarter.
I was gonna wait til next week to get this… and I should have. Apparently even directv users are experiencing the same issue… you would think after all the years of exclusivity with the NFL this wouldn’t happen 1st week EVERY year!!! I wonder how long til the class action lawsuits start up again against Directv… I pay $340 to watch my one team play and I can’t watch it… How the hell is this even good business… No wonder there are so many illegal streams online… which I may have to watch, seeing as how I am just getting a loading screen for the past 15 minutes!!!
Please Sony or Direct Tv fix this
Seriously, how do you charge this amount of money and not be able to deliver????
Do not buy this crap, it is terrible. I have plenty of bandwidth and every game freezes for minutes at a time. Sometimes the game will have 5 minutes left and it will start back up with 7 minutes left. This is pathetic Do Not Buy It.
I will be askiing for 1 weeks worth of refund this week. If not better next week, I will ask for a full refund.
I just ordered the Direct TV for my PS3 and it sucks. Lots of lag, screen freezes. Save your money….
Typical for Sony for this console generation. Blu-ray is awesome for movies, but everything else they did on this console sucks and is way below the standard they set on PS2.
I’m paying $350 for a broken mess – hope they’re going to refund 1/17th of that to everyone. This is unacceptable.
The screen locks up every 30 seconds. When the game goes to a commercial you still hear the game and see the commercial……This is crap
Figured there would be some “hiccups” first week… but this is full on stomach emptying bile choking vomit of a service….. Lets see if there supposed “#1 in customer satifaction” holds up after this debacle….. and this is why I have cable..
I’ve been able to watch about 5 minutes of the DET-TB game so far. I wanted to watch PHI-STL, but it tells me it’s blacked out in my area (which is about 1000+ miles away from STL and further from PHI… nice)
Omy goodness, it just went to a commercial right in the middle of a play, horrible…
I’ll pay $60 a year for PSN if they can make this actually work right.
Dear Plastation subscriber, thank you in advace for paying for a service we have yet to test. We will field your calls and blame each other when the format fails terribly. We could care less what is happening because as stated earlier we do not believe in testing this, we would rather lauch it and irritate you. We will ignore this and move on to next week, which no big suprise will be as bad as the first week.
In the mean time we will keep you occupied by blaming your setup at home by asking you to do the obvious… unplugging, rebooting and wasting more time while we are watching the games.
We value you as a cash cow!

I am unable to see any games on this service. I would not recommend anyone else to spend your money on this service.
Here I am once again, watching a stream on my computer because, once again we are all beta tester…. unfortunately for us it was a $340 beta test…. maybe they will work it out next year… ridiculous

Is this really happening? It has to be a dream. How is it possible to charge 85+ per month for something as horrible as this. I am getting nothing at all in any channel. Really?
Can’t even select any of the feeds now, it just spins. As for being to told to contact somebody else for support… Sony, you charged my credit card, I am buying this service from you. If there are problems, it is up to you to get them resolved. That means your techs need to talk to DirectTV techs. It has nothing to do with me.
Fix this now, or refund the money. This is terrible service.

It’s a total train wreck. Sony is responsible for fixing this, and anything short of refunding the first week’s prorated amount is unacceptable compensation for the way this service was introduced.

I don’t have anything now. Nothing. No sound, no picture etc. Before it was freezing up, going back to pre game show etc. I will be asking and getting a full refund and will also be taking my playstation 3 back to Best Buy to get a full refund. The only reason I bought it was to watch the games. You would think they would have tested the system before offering this crap for sale!

Same here everettgoff, I purchased this POS system to watch the nfl ticket, nothing more. I knew better, now I wish I could figure a way to reconfigure this paperweight into a time machine, get my money back, and find the executives that planned on releasing this without a trial period and make them suffer the ultimate price.

Ok, so now I can’t watch anything. Every game is either blacked out or “the video is unavailable” This is awesome! I’m waiting for an email from Play Station telling me that a portion of my payment is being refunded until they work out the problems. If that doesn’t happen I will be canceling and demanding a full refund! Or maybe jumping on the wagon for a class action suit.
Am on hold, said 12 minute wait for an agent. I will wait to hear them tell me they don’t know anything. I am pissed.
they better at the very least give a refund for the first week. it cant be that hard to get it right MLB has been streaming via ps3, appletv, xbox etc for years now
I can understand a few minor hiccups, but this is unacceptable. It is an outrage that you can charge for this… very poor video/audio quality, freezes, and that is if it works at all.

Hey! I just got to watch a commercial about the IPad2! That’s exactly why I paid for the NFL Sunday Ticket…So I could see one commercial about the IPad2! Definitely not so I could watch some NFL games.
Like others, when it was running its best, footage was choppy and punctuated by long freezes. I get nothing now.
