alright i have been a playstation fan since i was a little kid playing the og playstation and dont ge tme wrong i love how playstation 3 plays the old system as well but [DELETED] is going on with the ps2 gameplay i have over 50 games for the ps2 that i can not play so wut your saying since i have a ps3 im [DELETED] outa luck and i have to go buy a ps2 now to play my old games i sold both of my ps2 consoles to get the ps3 because i would have thought yous would have made it compatible to play o n the ps3. i have heard rumors that they would be release a add-on other than the one that is already up for the system to be able to play ps2 games i know that the older model ps3 play the ps2 games with the add-on that is already on the playstation store but wut about the rest of us the ones who spend hundreds of dollars on your consols and games and now 90% of the games i own for playstation consols i cant even play are you’s working on it or will we get left in the dust as the new playstation 4 consol is going to be released sin cerly robindahood rdh

@13 if you have a PC and your near it when playing on PS3 just use skype to talk to friends that are playing other games.

@14 Parasite Eve 2 should be available Tuesday. I’m to looking forward in getting it as well. never played PE1 or PE2 but 3rd Birthday I have and I really enjoyed that game.

@32 Also if you’re so sure they can put cross chat on the ps3 then you should probably send them the new coding for the media bar and such. I think since he’s the CEO of all sony he might know a few things about the ps3s hardware. I still dream of cross game chat on the ps3 but they obviously said WE CANNOT DO IT and they let us know so we wouldn’t spam the blog with comments about it anymore. You honestly don’t really sound like you completely know what you’re talking about. Sony isn’t going to make a crappy UI and lower quality games so theres ram for xchat. They probably couldn’t even if they wanted to. And the vita is obviously not just a hand held… it’s much more than that so of course it will have more features. 360 only has xchat because it tries to do more than it can handle with that crappy processor. 3 PPEs at 64 bps… psh.

@32 I really hope you’re referring to the speed of the XMB media bar (User interface) and not the actual aesthetic look of it and placement of the icons. I for one LOVE the design of the media bar and I can see why they’ve been using it since that weird ps2 programming japan only system. Microsoft is redoing their crappy dashboard AGAIN and it’ll probably still be messy as all hell. The media bar is very organized and straight to the point which I appreciate and enjoy.

Jeff, I want the vita…. I’m in classes again and I’d really love to be able to get trophies in after and before my classes since I car pool with a friend and his classes go later than mine. Do you at least know if the Vita will be out THIS YEAR? I’m very skeptical because it’s almost september and there is not even a launch MONTH yet. Don’t you make me wait for 2012 sony…

Jeff, thanks to you & Rey for reporting all the exciting news from Gamescom. Multiple posts per day made it hard, but fun, to keep up with all the news.

I don’t think people here appreciate how much you guys do to keep us informed. I perused the “X console” blog for comparison. Nada. Were they even @ Gamescom?!! And, they only update their blog 3 or 4 times per week, not per day like our blog.

I’m looking forward to your Gamescom posts this week, too.
