As a reminder, you can still pre-order the other titles of PSN PLAY to get your extra gift. The Baconing, BloodRayne: Betrayal, and Renegade Ops are all in the wings, along with 20% PlayStation Plus discounts for each if pre-ordered or purchased before 9/19/2011.

Other notable PSN releases include Hamilton’s Great Adventure. Navigate the gorgeous environments of this harrowing platformer/puzzler in the demo, or purchase the full game. The 16-bit classic Comix Zone is also now available for all PSN to download with full Trophy support.

For PlayStation Plus subscribers, get in on the Resistance 3 action with access to the Multiplayer Beta, which includes two major maps in the game: the Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales, and the Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia. Be one of the first to get your hands on this breakthrough FPS experience before the game releases September 6th.

Lastly, in celebration of Penny Arcade Expo, check out the PAX category in the Store highlighting some of the standout games being shown at this year’s PAX!

  • thanks for another great week of content!

  • SFIII here I go

  • Can’t wait to get home and get my SF3!!!

  • Doesn’t look like Plus is getting much discounted. :(

    • The Day 1 Discounts for the PSN PLAY titles will be present in both pre-orders and purchases of the titles up until 9/19/2011. That’s something, no? =)

  • wow, love all the great psp content!

  • WOW!! I love this update but my wallet hates it! ^_^

  • Resistance 3, here I come!

  • Time to play some Resistance 3!!!

  • Poor PSP.

Still wish the big Disgaea 3 bundle would’ve Benny on sale, but I might grab a theme or so.

  • OOOOMMMGGG SF 3rd strike, when Capcom vs SNK 2 is coming to PSN, its a good game back in the PS2 days, and make it online plus with trophies

  • sigh more worms stuff there just milking the money right out of me… but at least i pre-ordered street fighter III. now to wait for the download.

  • R3, Come get some!

  • wondering when there will be something interesting on the store again. BTW all these price updates the last 2 weeks have been nothing but Disgaea, is really sad.

  • …Damn this auto-correct. If only a keyboard!

  • awesome i can finally playing sf3

  • This update needs more cow bell.

  • I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cow bell.

  • Beyond – Parasite Eve II – there really is nothing good about this update (at all.) We got (yet) even more (wait for it) – Street Fighter – avatars (woohoo! (Sarcasm obviously.) No, PlayStation Portable content (again.) Over priced themes (especially since one awsome website has a very nicely made and done – Dues Ex – theme that is free and is infinitely better (even if it is not dynamic.) Lack luster add-on content, and of course demos (but they are just demos and honestly that don’t equate to much in my opinion.) Really though the demos (even being what they are) and the PSone – Parasite Eve II – title is all that really made this even an update.

Laughable at best if it wasn’t so, sadly inadequate.

  • Cool, the R3 BETA. I never really liked FPS games much, but a free shooter to get my fix works great for me.

I Must Run could be okay, OMG-Z was great so who knows what minis Sony is delivering. Whoever is picking the free minis, KUDOS! Seriously. Scarygirl, Pix ‘n Love Rush, Enigmo, OMG-Z, and Me Monstar are great games. So glad to get them free. I think there’s more, but even so: great selection. Oh yeah, and there’s also all the HalfBrick games (Echoes, Age of Zombies, etc.)

Overall, PS+ still kicks ass just with exclusive minis.

    • Happy to hear you’re digging the minis! While they’re not meant to be the bread and butter of PS Plus, they minis tend to be easily overlooked, but offer some of the most charming gameplay experiences

  • Yay! SF3, DX dynamic theme and PE2 :) Nice update for me (for once).

  • Third Strike and Resistance Beta equals a good night!!!!! Thanks Sony!

  • best update, when Capcom will bring Capcom vs SNK 2 onto PSN

  • Geez even more of a Disgaea sale? Too bad I already bought most of them. I guess I might as well pick up some more. I do agree that the complete DLC bundle should be on sale as well though… you currently stand to lose about $25 if you buy the DLC together instead of individually….

  • I must be the only person who wants to play Bodycount. It honestly looks like a good arcade shooter. Everyone is just being mean to it.

  • Where’s the rest of the Final Fantasy avatars? We need Cloud and Kefka! I’m tired of Street Fighter avatars.

  • ps+ peeps, you guys will love R3 beta, feels alot like RFOM

  • So much good content..So little money…

  • PES 2012?

  • Nothing. No sales. Nothing for PSN+. Very Sad. Where is the Strong Bad Cool Games For Attractive People sale like the Euros got?!?!

    • Hey silent, offers between Plus can and do vary between regions. Some of the content we get doesn’t make it to Europe and vice-versa, but we look to align where we can!

  • Wow, awesome awesome week for me. SFIII, R3 beta, Parasite Eve II. Doesn’t get much better than that. Thanks!

  • @Rorek_IronBlood… LOL

I guess you didn’t see the 2 new PSN games that just came out. They are both well reviewed games too.

Or, y’know… the PSP content in the form of minis. That IS Playstation Portable content.

  • psp is dead *play his mom’s ipod* :P

  • As always, we get Automatic Download? Really? Did you even know it’s not working since 3.70 FW Update?

I’ve emailed Sony techincal Assistance support team twice, and it’s been two days with absolutely no response whatsoever.

The PS3 doesn’t open up at the time I sepcified. I wanted to thank you for the LBP Dynamic theme, but not before you answer me about this issue. It’s very essential and as a new user to PS Plus, I’m extremely disappointed.

Oh, and it’s not only me having this problem, alot of other gamers have it too, and here’s a forum thread for you guys to check it out: http://community.us.playstation.com/thread/3885093?start=0&tstart=0. It’s definately a bug from 3.70 and I hope you look into it.

And pleaaaase reply to me to this issue. I need to know if you’re going to make the team aware of it. I subscribed to PS Plus a week ago for this feature and it’s not working now?? :'(

  • Where are my flippin Dissidia avatars? It’s been like five weeks since the lst batch and it was like four before that one. This is getting ridiculous. Did you give up on them? I hope not because the most popular characters have yet to be released, I just want my stinkin Tidus avatar! End rant, I’ll continue next week when they still aren’t there.

  • I am a plus member and was still charged 14.99 for my SFIII preorder.

I have called Costumer support and emailed them.. it is still not resolved.

I want my 3.00 dollars back! XD.

How long does this take to “look into” I have been ps+ member from day 1.

    • Sorry to hear you’re having trouble! I know that responses via email can take up to 48 hours and refunds to the wallet, if applicable, can take time. Thanks for your patience, but if you were active on Plus and were still charged full price for SF3, you’ll be taken care of =)

  • Also why did EU get FFVI like six months ago and we haven’t received it yet…?

  • It’s sad to see Motorstorm sell so little.

  • /Sigh let down on psp once again still no legend of dragoon or Chrono Cross. guess it’s back to the 360 for another week. I do have to admit psn updates are on time alot lately. Keep up the good work on that end Grace. Have a good week.

  • MS:Apocalypse Glow-in-the-dark Rims! lol 0.25$ Good way to spend our remaining cents on our psn wallets! : )

The probleme is, MotorStorm 3 is really good but the online is bug-crippled, I can’t find online players most of the time, sad because the game is crying so loud for online play with all those customisations! : /

I’ll try the SF3 demo but I’ll wait for a better discount to buy another recycled game from Capcom without really redone HD sprites.

  • For about the gajillianth time… Where are the rest of the MLB avatars? There are only 20 in the store, meaning 10 still left, and it’s been almost 2 months since the last set was released. There’s only five weeks left in the season and this is just getting ridiculous that they’re not out by now.

  • Whats the unlock dipswitch for SF3?

    • These can be unlocked in the game, but they allow you to customize the gameplay to how you want it. For example, turning off air-parries). If you don’t want to play the game to unlock them through playing, you can purchase them in the Store.

  • For any of my fellow Resistance fans, check out the beta, it’s a lot of fun :). And looks like it’s just Bodycount demo for me this week.

  • Oh…and the R3 beta, of course. : )

  • Also, can we expect a sale on the Bulletstorm DLC? It’s part of the deal of the week over on the other system, but I own the game for PS3.

  • A lil something for everyone in this update. Really nothing to complain about. Tempted to get PARASITE EVE 2….. but I played the hell out of that game on PSone, so I think I’ll pass.

Loving the flood of DYNASTY WARRIORS GUNDAM 3 DLC over the last few weeks. Keep ’em coming.

Oh, and Bodycount is a pretty fun demo.

    *****PROUD PS+ MEMBER*****

    Watch GYMKHANA 4!!!

  • Hot salami corndogs! UOTY for sure!!! Downloading SF3 and R3 beta now.

  • Was waiting for Street Fighter 3rd Strike for so long. Finally! :D

  • Awesome update. This is easily the most content I’ve downloaded after 1 PSStore update.
It’s good to get these types of updates every now and then. More than that though, and it might hurt our wallets.

  • Can we expect to see the 10 remaining MLB team avatars any time soon?

  • I love how everyone whines about every store update as if there are no other people that exist with differing opinions on what is a quality game.
