Resistance 3 (3D and PS Move Support) — America is lost. Four years after the epic conclusion of Resistance 2, dishonorably discharged Sentinel Joseph Capelli is in hiding from the invading Chimeran menace with a pocket of survivors, including his new wife and young son. Resistance 3 is created by critically-acclaimed developer Insomniac Games exclusively for the PlayStation 3 system.

Set in a brutal, alternate 1950s universe, America has been successfully conquered and destroyed by the deadly Chimeran race, forcing the last remaining human survivors to seek refuge in hiding. • Darn, no Castlevania Harmony of Despair :S been waiting so long….btw if its supposed to be released in September…then why is there no specific release date yet? ANYWAYS… I would love to hear more about this title if possible.

  • Wow, this week is loaded. I’ll be getting BloodRayne Betrayal myself.

  • Oh, and besides that one title great drop! I will be playing Dead Island this Tuesday for sure, and the little Resistance 3 beta impressed me so I might check it out aswell( I would have played the game for campaign at the very least before).

Too bad PS1 Classics don’t have trophies, I’m sure its too much hassle to add those to existing ps1 data… but it sure would help me decide to download more of them ;P

  • awesome, yeah same with #1 we need more updates on Castlevania HoD HD. they should have given us a release date at least!!!

  • Im picking up Dead Island for sure, have it pre ordered and ready to destroy some zombies with friends :)!

  • R3 finally, fudge my life

  • Is Astro Tripper the minis version? It’s already out on PSN.

  • Wow, such a huge freakin week. R3, Dead Island, Warhammer, Mega Man japan import. Really awesome. Rey, can you loan me like 150 bux? It’s a bad week to be broke.

  • This is one bad ass Drop ;) I’m loving the Resistance 3 skin takeover.

  • That’s a lot of releases finally! I can tell the Blog is excited for R3, what with the R3 skin.

  • I have been convinced to buy DEAD ISLAND, so that’s cool…

    ***PROUD PS+ MEMBER***

  • If you could bring the PS1 game Silouhette Mirage to the PS Store it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Already got my Disgaea 4 Last wednesday! Pre-Order from NIS America ftw!
Dead Island looks good though, still debating that one.

  • NO PSONE CLASSICS Silent Bomber, Tomba& Tomba 2, and Einhander

  • was hoping that they’d release ff5 and/or ff6 this week, right after me and my twins birthday

  • Astro Tripper a rerelease!?! Bought it ages ago. Nice little intense shooter, and I do mean intense!

  • Yay for Disgaea 4!

  • Where’s my Klonoa PSone Classic?

Come on, don’t hold out on me.

  • Excellent week guys.

  • Resistance 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finally! Can’t wait to get my hands on Resistance 3. Just finished Resistance 1 and about to start on Resistance 2 again. I might have to pick up the Uncharted Dual Pack as well. Revisit those as well before Uncharted 3 comes out. Thanks!!

  • I can’t wait to play Resistance 3.
I Just finished with the beta (level 30) :D
I’m going to replay previos resistance games (including retribution).

    • Wait until you play Resistance Retribution on PS Vita with Dual Analog stick support; its a totally different game (in a good way!)

  • Hope I have enough money to get Dead Island or Disgaea 4. Might wait for Space Marines.

  • @Teflon02: Unless you won’t have the money next week, go ahead and buy R3 now. WKC2 doesn’t come out until the 13th.
This is a pretty big drop this week, really nice. I’ll be picking up Space Marine, and I may just trade in my copies of Uncharted 1 and 2 for that dual pack, just to have them in one collection. And I’ll get the extra content for UC2, which I haven’t felt like buying separately on the PS Store.

  • Where is the NFL SUNDAY TICKET AND PLEASE DON’T SAY SOON SEASON STARTS THURSDAY !!

  • PSone classics again! Keep them coming, they’re much more enjoyable than games released this generation.

  • If they include non Greatest hits cover arts for Uncharted Dual Pack, I may have to get it. =D

  • just keep the ps1 classic coming

  • Dead island is garbage, anyone buying that is cluless, zombies are a tad overdone as well…… Buy resistance 3 instead. Ps3 gamers dont support the PS3.. At all.

  • Not a bad drop but id have liked to see a digital version of the uncharted bundle

  • Resistance 3 is a for sure day 1 buy.

Contemplating Dead island though, its got three reviews out and so far its got 8, 8.5, and a 8.9. Tho the latter ones are lesser known places.

  • Looking forward to Resistance…

  • I got my Disgaea 4 preorder in the mail on the 1st, and it is the greatest game ever. Between that and Cladun X2 I am going to fail college this term.

  • wow, so soon, i wasnt expecting r3 to be out this week, and dead island as well, i hope its not like other typical zombie games

  • I’m deeply upset about the user content aspect of Disgaea being neutered. Maybe I’ll get Resistance 3 in a while.

  • I have Disgaea 4 premium figure set reserved and payed for….and i also have the resistance 3 fully payed for as well…..how should i decide which one to play first?

  • Hopefully the NFL Sunday Ticket app drops this week as well. Time’s running short…

  • I want to pick up Dead Island, but I’m going to wait a few weeks for the price to drop. I’m still working on inFamous 2, and with God of War Origins coming out next week, I have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime. I will get Megaman IV too, if the price is right.

  • @Rey Gutierrez
the game is going to have VITA Support? Excellent!
Hmm I wonder if we are going to see references on Resistance 3 (like james grayson or Parker).
another reson to get PSV. thanks for the info.
any idea if Burning Skies and R3 are going to “share” info like retribution did with resistance 2?

    • No details on R3 and Burning Skies sharing Chimera love. But that would be pretty cool. Also, yes; expect PSP (PSN downloads) to have PS Vita Dual Analog support day one.

  • Resistance 3!!!

Is Altered Beast drop this week for plus?

  • Is sony ever going to make it where the web browser has up to date flash player?

  • It would be AWESOME if they did. The Sony web browser is a joke.

  • Given the huge number of small indie games out there on PC and XBLIG I’m surprised at how crappy the MInis selection is. What a waste of potential.

  • BTW, cant wait for Dead Island too. I’m picking up the Uncharted double pack too since I’ve never played them before. And both games are on one disk?

Does Resistance have a double pack also? I’ve never played that series either.

  • Does Resistance 3 support split-screen multiplayer like Resistance 2 did? The Beta didn’t have the option and I haven’t seen it mentioned.

  • SO it looks like we have to wait for Splinter Cell until the retail drops? Sad face

  • And again, no MLB avatars……

  • Disgaea 4 and Bloodrayne look interesting!
