I just want you to know that I was soooooo close at purchasing RE4 on the ps store today. but after I learnt that you (capcom) loves XBLA community more by giving 1000G for the game and psn no platinum. RE4 is SO lazy. Graphics are BARELY upgraded, no move support, pathetic trophy list, AND they took out the 2 easier difficulty settings for the american version. If you have the game already on any other platform, just dont bother. Its not worth it

Tried to buy RE4 but ending up with the dreaded error 80023102 – cannot add funds. I’ve already reentered my CC information and checked the money in my account and there is absolutely no reason for this. I’ve read through the Playstation forum post that claims to have solved this problem and did everything it suggested. This happened last time with Beyond Good & Evil HD, and after about 2 weeks, I was inexplicably able to purchase it after having done nothing. I don’t know what’s going on, but if I can’t purchase RE4 before the PS+ discount expires, I’m not going to buy it at all, and I’m not going to be very happy.
@202.. its not up to sony all the time with platnuims and certain games having trophies. . The devs of those games might think it cheaper to put it out an patch trophies in later, because , most of the time they are not sure the game will sell or use the game psn revenue to do those things..So after some time i would suggest hitin up capcom about it. Sony dont fund all these psn games, the devs of them do. So hit them up about it.

Hey all, I too am disappointed at the lack of a platinum trophy. For all you “haters” who arent aware, heres some education in your face: We like trophies because they allow us to try out new things and explore the games we love and feel rewarded for doing so. If you feel rewarded enough without trophies, great, but you whine just as much as the “trophy lovers.”
On another note, just as a heads uo to anyone who reads this whos thinking of getting the game: its got 12 trophies, its got better graphics and WORSE SOUND. I was seriously suprised when for the first time a ganado yelled at me it sounded like it came out of a talking toothbrush. Or a bottle cap…
The conclusion: if you love res 4 and want it on the ps3 for some reason, its a decent port but the graphics dont make up for the CHOPPY SOUND PROBLEMS.

@213 hey i would suggest to stop trying to add funds. that error is dns server errors on your half. your router went/has timed out. so I would suggest to stop adding funds, becuase it keep ading as long keep yourtrying. also the ps3 has max limit..
if your internet times out. which happens to everyone “including myself” just stop and cancel the order . dont keep clicking it becuase it will keep taking it. that how a computer work. it does what its told . Wait till later like a 1 hour… If all else fail contact sony about this error your having they look into in for you.
@217 you might have to speak to campcom about it. Thats on them.. all games suppose to have throphies but if they just want digiitize the games and sell them. Nothing sony can do. maybe campcon didnt have the revenue to do trophies or the man hours right now.. I suggest hittin campcom about a trophy patch .which what they might be doing for re4 down the line if every one ask them.
just picked up resident evil 1-3 for free. but i’m wondering if there’s a way to purchase them at their discounted price. as you know, games downloaded for free through ps+ are subjected to expire since you don’t actually own them. is there a way to purchase them or would i have to wait till my membership ends?

I’d get RE4 but I feel I’m being shorted on Trophies. The XBLA version has 1000GS but we don’t get a Platinum? Forget it. I have the GC and PS2 versions, I’ll just play those instead.

Very odd that Plus members can’t purchase the discounted PSOne Resident Evil games.
Plus members should know that we non-members are prompted to purchase them outright at the 50% off price or subscribe to Plus.
Being able to purchase games outright should ALWAYS be an option no matter your member status.
And the whole ‘must add at least $5 to wallet’ stuff has got to go. That silly rule inhibits sub-$5 impulse buys like you wouldn’t believe.

Meh. A bunch of stuff I already own – Not even a few decent themes to fall back on.
Hell, is Innocent Sin even playable on the PS3 or is it PSP only? I remember when that game came out and everybody rushed to create translation patches for it.
Kinda unfair remaking a ps1 game for the PSP. Getting robbed over my PSP kinda turned me off of the whole portable thing. Anyway, I don’t get the point of putting excessively long and decent games on the PSP while putting the incredibly short crap on the PS3. And let me stress the word crap. Comparison, PSP gets Lunar.- an HD remake of an HD remake of a Remake – PS3 gets Trinity Universe- Something that looks like it was made on a broken PS1 emulator.

It’s not forcing anybody to buy a PSP ( or another in my case) and those good games are just going to waste or pirates, not the people who actually want them. Comparison, the Vita is announced at $249. Currently the Ps3 is $249. How do I put this, on the bus , train , campus, work. Everyone stresses to not carry expensive electronics on your person.
Will they ever let us play PSP games on the PS3? Or do we have to wait and buy the PSP game on the Xbox 360 like Half Minute Hero and Exit?
I mean , I wouldn’t mind paying for -that- I’d open up my wallet and throw my Visa at them like the fist of an angry God. Beats straining my eyes on a small screen.

I probably would have been tempted to purchase Resident Evil 4 (I never did beat it back when I had it on the Gamecube.) but, I only had 7 days left for my PS+ Subscription, so I renewed that instead…
Now I need to wait until I can get another PSN Card.
I think I made the right choice though, the content for PS+ just keeps getting better and better!
