Grace Chen's Avatar + Posted by Grace Chen on Oct 04, 2011 // Sr. Director, PlayStation Store

Hi Everyone –
As announced yesterday, Only On PSN will be bringing 8 exclusive titles throughout the month of October. Rochard is already available, but this week brings Eufloria, an ethereal journey into an ambient universe where you control the destiny of an intergalactic garden. Relax with the Chilled mode, or give Dark Matter mode a try to go more on the offensive. It’s a strategy game like none other, and it’s Only On PSN. As with all titles of Only On PSN, Eufloria is 20% off for PlayStation Plus subscribers for its first week in the Store.

Call of Duty fans, time to gear up. Call of Duty ELITE is almost here and to get ready, you can pre-order your access today and get an exclusive theme for your PS3. ELITE includes access to the premium features as well as all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 downloadable content. You’ll also receive ‘Founder’ status on your membership to cement your COD legacy.

i thought there was gonna be a demo for NBA Jam. i’m not sure if i actually wanna spend the money on it yet. also like others have said the “free” avatars are not free. you people at sony really need to start proof reading these blogs before posting them. remember when PS Plus was talking about giving away free avatars every month? now we’re lucky to get a discount on avatars nobody really cares about. i’m still waiting on the rest of the MLB avatars. i know it seems like a minore gripe but it drives me nuts to see people with them but i can’t have one for my favorite team because some people are too lazy to post a friggin picture on a store then sell it to me.

Not a bad week, and I certainly can’t complain about the PS2 games.

I just hope they don’t end up like the PS1 classics have.

Just some questions

I’ve never purchased a PS1 Classics, but, does the PS1/PS2 Classics images stay like that MGS1 Flashback scene in MGS4, where you play part of the original MGS?

If I play a PS2 Classic, if shows for my PSN friends what game I’m playing, like normal games?

Thank you

    The PS2 games look great, and upscale up to 720p. Of course they won’t look as good as PS3 games, but it’s certainly a jump from PS1.

Hey, put the PS2 games category in the main “Games” section. It needs a proper place among the PS3 Downloadable games and the PSone classics.

So last week the store botched the Patapon3 Dlc. I asked and got no response. There has been no acknowledgement of the issue on Sony’s part. I know the vita is around the corner but thats no reason to sweep the psp under the rug. If you guys care for feedback then there u go.

@phatmillips:

Hey, just finished installing it. I copied it onto my PSPGo for portability, and to test. i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the load times are still there, just as they’ve always been. I really hate the loading before you encounter a battle. I was hoping they wiould be minimalized being a digital download, but it looks like the loading must be written in it’s code (I guess being a port and all). On the plus side, it looks much better on a PSP screen than it did on DS, higher resolution!

As a PS+ member I have been enjoying the Video Unlimited preview app for a week now. Really like it; so much easier to find the content I am looking for. Might I suggest (although I suspect it is already in the works), that the PSN Games Store would certainly benefit from a similar app.
