Just a few days ago we teamed with Subway to launch the full competitive multiplayer experience for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in the United States. We are pumped to see everyone online one month before the full game’s release on November 1st. The PlayStation.Blog spoke with Game Designer, Robert Cogburn, to learn more about what you should do when you first log on to the full competitive multiplayer experience.
When you first get online to play there are some very important menus in your profile to navigate. Not sure what kickback or load outs to use? How do you get more cash and rank up? Want to know Robert’s suggestion for the best guns and load outs for new players? Check out the video for answers to these questions and more valuable information:
Even if you have already jumped headfirst into the action, be sure to watch the video as it will provide some great pointers to help amp up your experience. If you still haven’t made that trip to Subway hopefully this video whets your appetite to get there and dive into the complete Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience.
It’s as easy as picking up any specially marked 30oz Uncharted 3 themed cup, taking the code printed on that cup, heading online to the Subway Taste for Adventure website and redeeming that Subway code. This will generate a PlayStation Store code good for a download of the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience!
Don’t forget that not only do you get to be one of the first people to play the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience, all aspects of your profile progress earned during the Subway Taste for Adventure carry over into the final retail copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out additional updates to the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience, including new maps and level cap increases. To kick off the second week of the promotion, we’ll be adding two brand new maps to the multiplayer experience on Monday, 10/10. So you’ll have a total of 8 competitive maps to explore! There also will be more videos with tips and info that will help maximize your Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience. Consider them your field guide and survival guide during the Subway Taste for Adventure and into the full retail release of Uncharted 3.

And on a 2nd note it is incredible how people have no idea how to type properly. It is so annoying to have these little kids running around acting all stupid. If you have a complaint, there are more mature ways of letting it out. Half of you guys who are complaining seem like idiots by the way you type. And I hope Naughty Dog ignores you.

Drake’s Fortune was the reason I bought a PS3 and I love the series. I’ve brought it up at the NaughtyDog forum, but wanted to relay the fact that the Freezing is so frustrating. Sometimes I can’t even get through a whole match and I know it’s not my ‘net connection. I hope they fix it soon and can’t really complain about anything else….especially since it’s free. I can’t wait ’til 11-1-11
Im happy all Canadians are handicapped right off the bat for U3 MP as people will have been playing the maps for a month……

please bring back the tons of unlockable clothing options by getting all those different treasure sets! I think it’s a lot more exciting and fun to get a new piece of clothing by completing a treasure set than just having them all available (depending on your level) and just buying different pieces and buying them for sometimes ridiculous amounts of money. That was actually one of my favorite things about the beta and made it really addicting to get all the treasures that popped up to see what item you unlocked at the end of the match.
Also, I miss the option to customize the characters like Drake and Sully with different clothing options. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the game! Can’t wait for the release in November!

Lol (abbreviation translation: Laugh out loud) no my system works perfect actually, and whats your point, so far uncharted 2 is my favorite game of the generation. Oh and actually I play final fantasy and own all the PSOne Classic downloads but tactics and have over 85 hours in XIII, is that suppose to be a diss..
Make sense if your going to reply to someone. Trolling is exactly what your doing, because anyone who replied to me has always made dumb assumptions and hate on the facts. If people like me don’t complain then the game will always suffer from being unbalanced. Also my game only froze on party and in cinema, if u stop trolling and look it up, they were issues. Plus they are not even doing it anymore.

My bro hears me complain when playing and thought I sucked and that was why. Until yesterday, he actually watched me and was like, “WOW, I thought you were just being a sore loser, but everything you said wasn’t a lie.” He even say the grenade BS, where I through a grenade infront of a player (3 uncharted steps ahead of him) and he even had the treasure jogging and you know he slowly jogged by it and it didn’t blow until he wasn’t in close distance nor did it make him drop the treasure SMH. I think I’m doin a montage of the multiplayer BS I get lol.
I dont know about anyone else but since canada is getting left out of the promotion im refusing to pick up this game. Way to go guys..

is it possible to play co op?? and if not is it going to be added in later in the month?
I’m loving the MP so far. It’s great to get a head start and unlock a lot of the co-op boosters. I’m going to need them for Crushing.
To those who keep messaging me for codes for the U3 multiplayer, keep the messages coming. Just understand that I only get so many at a time, so you have to give me a couple days to get and give them out. I only eat 3 times a day, and not all 3 meals are Subway XD
But I’ve already given some out, and am ALMOST caught up. Tomorrow or the day after and everyone who is currently awaiting a U3 code will get one.

This game is horribly unbalanced. When new players get the game and play for the first time, all these lvl 35’s and up are gonna own. Me, goin in as a lvl one playin in horrible match making that puts me against high lvl players got owned immediatly. Takes me more than 6 shots to kill anyone, they just hit me twice and I’m down. In Battlefield, if all you gave me was a pistol and put me up against a lvl 50, I still have a chance.
I want to know if they fixed the loading on MP .. I enjoyed it greatly in UC2 but loading was so b(%c&cy at times – it was annoying

i am a die hard ps3 fan. i only had a problem with the fact u were blaming all the problems on ND saying its not your own connection and what not. ND has done an excellent job with the multiplayer. I have not had any problems with multiplayer in the past 6 days i have had it. U R THE TROLL

I’m talking facts and i said already it can be my connection when people are using it. but even when no ones doin nothing on it like now i can download at 2mb per secs but i cant play this? it’s the game i’m not the only person complaining about this issue. and like i said it’s not really a issue right now cuz they are actually fixing it, and hate it or love it, devs mess up and it takes criticism to keep em on the ball. after the game HAZe released i promised if i had a issue i’ma say it cuz i don’t need my fav games to mess up after anticipation. and just now 2 games actually ran with no lag, and everyone actually died fairly, while 3 people using the internet. if i could run killzone 3 perfectly i can run this perfectly cuz back then ppl were always downloading

LMFAO don’t troll man. get facts straight people have been complaining about the same things and like i said before, I’m good at the multiplayer, i just don’t like unbalancing and making the game unfair. I wanna be able to tell a none uncharted fan come play split screen online and see how great this is.. but i can’t because they all never get kickbacks, they don’t get into battles quick enough, they have no chance of anything really, but getting lucky and unlucky medals lol, and maybe luck and retaliation. for me its just dumb that you take out stuff like sprint 6 secs and respawn 10 secs when you always have to respawn on opposing sides of the maps and tdm how are you waiting to respawn? i say it about almost all gun games there should never be respawn times on multiplayer TDM or deathmatch. thats why i stopped playing killzone3, it got annoying even tho it was only 5 secs. and thats honestly why people always play dumb games like COD and i’m not going to lie i guess i’m goina be one of em this year if they don’t change that

Guys, I use the code and downloaded it, but I cannot get into multiplayer. The beta version comes up, I can try and load the game, then I get a config error. Am I doing something wrong?
Team Deathmatch London Underground when I get to the station, my screen is all black, I can hear people and I see my booster and kickbacks show up on the screen plus when I die but I can’t see anything. And it’s the first time I’ve played this map.
I’ve noticed that it takes alot of bullets to kill someone and when i am really close to killing that person they either run away or kill me somehow so i was wondering if you could make an update that make the guns a little bit stronger
Whats the trick to getting the code to work so I can play the multiplayer? My beta version will not load! Help!
Hey Naughty Dog is this more of a improved beta or a finalized multiplayer? Al’so, will there be more guns in the final game because i find that there are not many which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I cannot wait for this game ,but i was really looking forward to like an m4 in multiplayer.
@deathspear stop putting words in other peoples mouths, teflon didn’t deny the bugs, in fact he’s stating the opposite if you’d bother to read. In fact look back a month to the R3 launch, many similar complaints were voiced then and the game turned out to be a flop and the series is now at an end.
I’ve used 3 extra codes on the weapons, but it’s not working… Nor is the taunt being unlocked. Please help!
The only complaint I can fairly lodge is that I’ve entered 5 codes, but none have had what I really want. (Naughty Dog AK and Footlong taunt.)
I’m not that great. I’m not gonna pretend to be. I also hate being 14, because the stereotype is that we all swear every other word and insult and yell when someone kills us. I’d like to think I’m more mature then that. Yes, I understand I’m the exception rather then the rule. It still annoys me to get stereotyped like that.
