PS2 Classics

Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland — Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland takes the popular series in a whole new direction, offering a deeper and more robust role-playing experience. It might be best described as a ‘Life Simulation’.

Raiden III — Raiden III for PlayStation 2 is a port of the classic arcade shooter, complete with a stage select mode that lets you replay stages once you’ve cleared them. The series has transitioned from its 2D roots to 3D, creating lush environments, devastating explosions and countless enemies, without a drop in frame-rate. Two players can play together to push back the invading forces, just like in the arcade!

Bloodrayne — As the vampiric agent BloodRayne, you’ll travel through the eerie swamps of Louisiana, to Argentina and Germany in this battle-heavy, third-person thriller. The game features non-linear gameplay in more than 40 levels and three massive worlds, the ability to suck blood for health, and to use slow-motion, zoom and aura visions to aid in death dealing. Pull off fantastic acrobatic moves to bend the environment to your will and dispatch enemies with BloodRayne’s blades and kicks for awesome in-your-face combat.

  • @Psicocrusher I am unsure how long although I am guess before the first dlc release? because it is currently a pre-order so maybe it will be available for a week or two when the game is released.

  • Where is Fate/Extra?

  • Wow its cool

  • @Twilight947 That’s make sense! I will buy it this week!

  • Hey Rey you guys should do this background thing with all ps3 exclusives not just a few , hopefully we see a twisted metal , starhawk and others as well , playstation isnt all about uncharted you know ?

  • Not sure how bloodrayne and raiden 3 qualify as classics. Of course if they were really classics, they would slightly upgrade the graphics and charge twice what they were worth. How about some real classics. GTA san andreas, persona 4 or FF 12.

  • oh nice more PS2 games!! Do you think you could get someone to release R.A.D. (Robot Alchemic Drive) on the PS Store??? That game is soooo awesome but it’s on a CD disc and my PS2 has a horrible time reading it… :(
I really miss playing that game..

  • Kinda surprised that there’s no announcement about the Batman Arkham City Nightwing DLC.

  • Hey Rey!

Any chance that these PS2 classics might include Summoner (and Summoner 2) at some point in the future?

    Thanks!

  • Uncharted 3 is all I need! :D Midnight launch ftw!!!

  • You’re starting releasing PS2 Classics? Finally! Now I’ll just wait for the release of Burnout Revenge. I miss this game!

  • For this week I mean, of course next week I’m looking forward to MGS HD Collection, I had no idea there was a Collectors Edition, now I’m gonna have to pony up 80$ for that, that art book is too damn awesome to pass up!

  • Already beat uncharted 3 XD I got the game earlier mwahahah

  • uncharted 3 like a boss

  • Nice to know that more PS2 games are arriving on the PSN Store. On that end, I’d love to eventually see all of the non-Persona Shin Megami Tensei games from that console made available for download (Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha 1 & 2).

Come on ATLUS. You can do this. You know you want to.

  • Wow MK vs DC caught me by surprise. although i had that for xbox its a pretty sweet game, although it lacked in the violence that MK is known for and just felt really lacking.

Also glad to see to Raidan 3. i love that series!

other than that another dull week, and absolutely nothing for psp as usually. i dont know why i bother when i cant even get a simple answer if/when certain games come out which are LONG over due for a psn release especially considering (Square Enix for example) has most of their psp games on the psn, but for some reason Square and Sony are neglecting Crisis Core or whatever reason (as neither are giving any reason why, or blaming each other)

  • May get the Pinball game could download the Hydrophobia one for free but I remember it being awful on the 360 so I doubt I’ll bother. Pass on everything else though find Uncharted to be highly overrated. Not saying it’s bad just overrated there’s a difference.

  • Uncharted 3?….never heard of it lol ….cant wait!!!! :D

  • Loving the Move support for many of the upcoming games, Looking forward to some UC3 this week =D

  • WOW, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. That was my first PS2. I LOVE IT!!
please bring Dark Cloud 2 :D

  • Wii Goldeneye sucked. It was the last in a line of dealbreakers that put me off of the Wii.

    Terrible game.

  • @5, wow you’re incredibly negative. Why do you even own a PS3 if that is how you feel?

  • Dat picture, Drake on a horse with an RPG. Where else can you see that? lmao

  • two words: Big Wave Big Wave.

  • Nice background imo.

  • Meh update except for U3…

  • Alright new games coming out! Uncharted 3 is what most of us is looking forward to! I’ll sadly have to pass on it because I haven’t played none of them yet but don’t worry I will! Sonic Generations looks very great considering the last best Sonic game imo was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, can’t wait to grab Generations once I pony up the money for it. But for MK vs DC, how much space will it take up? That’ll determine if I’ll get it or not, and how often will you guys bring in more ps2 classics? I’ll be waiting for the Kingdom Hearts series!

Hardcore Sony Fan, you guys rock!

  • For myself, I’ll be picking up Uncharted 3 CE and Goldeneye 007: Reloaded!

  • No mention of Fate/Extra?

I guess SCEA really doesn’t give a hoot about the PSP.

  • Why should Sony support the PSP? Nobody freaking buys the thing and nobody plays it. Why are people expecting content for a dieing and dead system EVERY SINGLE F-ING WEAK. It is so pathetic you guys who complain are IDIOTS. You expect like 3-5 PS1 Classics, 3-5 PS2 Classics, 3-5 PSP Games, and 3-5 PSN games every single f-ing weak and then even if Sony releases a huge amount of games (which shouldn’t even f-ing matter this weak because Uncharted is equal to like a 1000 quality games) you then start to complain about avatars or themes or anything else.

You guys are pathetic and scum and I’m glad Sony ignores you. Specifically @5 and also at MegaMixer I see that douche every single time I read the comments on a PS Store update or the Drop.

    Freaking nerds man stfu

Freaking nerds man SHUT UP and GET A LIFE

  • Pretty sweet drop. The only disappointing thing about it is that I’ll be focusing too much on school and work this week thanks to a jump in my hours to enjoy Uncharted 3 D:

  • Hey Rey can you please answer me this as I can’t find proper answers anywhere. I saw Battlefield 3 full game download on the UK PSN store, but I can’t find it on the US store. Why? I want to buy this digitally so please give me some info! Thanks!

  • I’m sure U3 is a great game, but whoever was in charge of designing Elena and Chloe really screwed this one up.

  • oh yeah baby

  • I’ll be getting Uncharted 3 this week, but my eyes are staring at NCIS, purely because I’m into crime investigation games.

  • Why isn’t Fate/Extra mentioned? That’s the second best game coming out this week!

In any case, I got plenty of pre-orders shipping to my house this week.

  • Can’t wait for Uncharted 3! It’s dropping this week!! :D

  • No mention of DC Universe Online going Free-to-Play? That’s a bad sign. Are we getting screwed over? I’ve been waiting for F2P DCUO since the very beginning of it’s run.

  • I assume no PayDay:The Heist voucher is in this update either……..You know……..the game i never got-_-.

  • hey, will crash bash be released today for the pal regions???? :D :D :D :D…..wikipedia says so and i hope to be true :) :) :)

  • Nice to see some new PS2 classics and MK v DC is nice too but I admit I was kinda hoping to see PSN downloadable versions of Uncharted 1 & 2 this week to accompany the release of Uncharted 3. Oh well

  • Getting U3! i have a question will you be able to buy the fortune hunter subscription from PSN in a later date or is it a limited time offer or something like that. Dont want to spend 60 on the game then 25 more right away this tuesday.

  • Sonic Generations! :DDDDDD

PS2 Harvest Moon?! I’ll more than likely pick this up.

  • DARK SOULs best RPG ever, it’s that good. between that, BF3, Uncharted this week and skyrim, I may not sleep until xmas at the earliest.

  • Hi Rey, any news on Team Ico collection coming to psn anytime soon??

  • Can’t wait to get my hands on UC3. Would like to see Ico/SoTC on PSN and also Ratchet and Clank:A41 on PSN with Move support. Releasing A41 at full price at this time of year was not good marketing.

  • @StealthReborn I know it’s not Harvest Moon, but a new Rune Factory: Tide of Destiny, just came out for the PS3. I haven’t picked it up yet, but it looks very good.

  • I cannont wait to get uncharted 3 tomorrow! All im going to do is stare and touch the stuff in my collectors eddition for like 30 min and then play game all day lol. gonna leave a little early and wait in line and hopefully get it fist at me store lols.

  • We need more PSone Classics. PSone Imports are nice, though I miss the PS+ discount.
