Heavy Rain: Director's Cut

Heavy Rain: Director’s Cut starts shipping on November 8th in the US. Here is a list of all the great content fans can look forward to:

  • Complete, original game, Heavy Rain
  • Heavy Rain Chronicles: Episode 1 – The Taxidermist DLC
  • Heavy Rain Original Videogame Score by award-winning film and television composer, Normand Corbeil (16 tracks)
  • New front-end menu and interface with built-in Move support
  • A series of 8 “Making of” Bonus Videos

Starting November 8th, PSN members can download this visually stunning dynamic theme, depicting one of the game’s most chilling crime scenes visited by FBI profiler, Norman Jayden, in his frantic search for the Origami Killer.

We hope you enjoy the new Director’s Cut!

  • yes i was going to pick this game up cause i loved the move demo and now they announce a special edition im picking this up for sure!tjis is coming out the day mw3 comes out when people go out and buy that same game over again ill be picking up HEAVY RAIN. KILLZONE FTW

  • If I didn’t have the game already, I’d be all over this. I recommend it to anybody else tired of the same old thing, especially for $30.

  • I’ve played and beat the game, but I don’t own it. Now seems like a great time to support support these guys!!!

  • As far as I can tell, this shouldn’t be called a director’s cut. It seems they’ve added as much as Sega added to Sonic Adventure DX: nothing. If anything, the rest of the promised Chronicles should be the director’s cut. I love this game, but canceling Chronicles to concentrate on adding Move support was a big mistake.

Is the soundtrack on a cd at least or is it one of those where it’s in the game disc itself and can only be heard through the game in a menu?

  • PS3 Exclusive? Let me think about that for a second. Sure looks like the Xbox 360 game “Vampire Rain”, must be a play of words.

  • Will this game install a new separate trophy set or can I use the current one? I had my playtrough with a copy from a friend which I borrowed and this release is the best chance to get my hands on my own copy of this fanastic game!

  • Kinda lost interest once I saw that it was taking forever for another DLC item to come out.

Totally lost interest when a follow-up to the Taxidermist never happened and the game looked abandoned.

  • So, just a head’s up to anybody coming to this game fresh and new: the guy behind the game has officially said to only play it once. He’s right; they didn’t account for plot holes or stupid fallacies at all. Also you’ll be bored to tears since barely anything changes. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll love it your first time through, but if you play it more than once, you’ll end up hating it like I do.

I can only hope that if this style of game is ever revisited, that the implied branching story paths actually happen, rather than being simple cookie cutter scenes that work the same with or without certain variables.

  • bullsh*t
I’ve buyed this version (Collector’s Edition) at “day one” and I’ve downloaded the Move support past.

Where are the other DLCs named Chronicles ???

  • Amazing how bad a missed opportunity no DLC for HR was by Sony…. Game was begging for DLC.

  • Great, so the game finally gets the complete edition release it deserves.
It still leaves one question though, will this edition be a US exclusive or will it see a release outside the US as well? Because you are only talking about a US release date. Having to import this version would completely defeat the purpose of getting “budget” complete release, considering that postage will probably almost double the price…

  • I’ll look for this one, since I never found the original “greatest hits” in stores in my area.

I think this will be my last game purchase for this calendar year.

  • Kinda glad I never got around to picking it up, this edition sounds awesome.

  • Very Good deal for those who hasnt bought the game yet :)

I seriously recommend getting it :)

  • Sweet! I’m going to get this since my friend lost my copy of Heavy Rain.

  • I always wanted to get the game. Now that it is half price. I’m defiantly getting it soon.

  • tbh, i think November 08 is a bad time to release this. So many games releasing this month, really hard which to buy first…
