Hi Everyone -
The Store Update is now live and ready for you to check out all the latest content. We’ve got some great games this week, but here are some of the featured items you may want to get to first. The complete update list can be found below.

It’s no secret that this week sees the release of one of the biggest games of the year: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Starting today, you can start using Call of Duty ELITE, a premium membership specifically for the Call of Duty series. ELITE helps you elevate your multiplayer game, whether you’re new to the frantic battlegrounds, or a bona fide veteran of the series. You can join for free, or get access to all the features for $49.99. Get more details by clicking here.

Today is also the day Square Enix’s “Winter of RPG’s” kicks off starting with Chrono Cross. Journey through two parallel dimensions in a remarkable quest featuring a huge cast of characters, an engaging battle system, and one of the greatest original soundtracks of any game. If you missed it before, you’ll want to experience it this Winter.

Watch the trailer and play on either your PS3, or PSP. Watch for the PSN-wide release for this title on 11/22.

There’s much more to see so check out the full list. Drop your comments below, or join the discussion on the PlayStation Community forums. Hey, remember that Playstation Play promotion? I bought Renegade Ops through that, and it says that there will be a new vehicle and character pack provided no later than October 31, 2011. Has that been forgotten entirely, I haven’t been able to find any kind of update on that information.

I spent an hour on the phone earlier today (gave me a chance to catch up on some reading) waiting for someone to be able to give me some information about it, but they seemed to recommend I just get a refund on the game, and give it up.

There’s been a delay in the DLC being released; however we’ve got you guys in mind. We’re working with SEGA to ensure it gets released as soon as possible, but sometimes these delays do occur. When it releases, you’re taken care of.

That Where Is My Heart video was actually pretty cool. Chrono Cross is great (although I wish Square-Enix would quit with their 10 dollar premium). I’ll play that Rayman Origins demo. I love the first Rayman but this game looks a little too goofy for me and if you couple that with the fact that it was made for co-op I’m not sure how good it’s going to be. We’ll see…

May be off-topic, but I’m holding my breath on an ‘Uncharted 3′ patch. Don’t get me wrong, this game is another PS3 marvel… but there are alot of technical issues and gamebreakers (no cutscene gallery? etc), in my opinion. But I’m trusting Naughty Dog will come with a fix.

When are you gonna start doing some good price updates on games? I wanna do some game shopping but for several months now you have offered nothing interesting on price updates, and very little games at that.

Where are the Winter game sales, Holiday game sales or whatever?

You all should really look into doing Seasonal Game Sales.

Spring Game Sale
Summer Game Sale
Fall Game Sale
Winter Game Sale
Thanksgiving Game Sale
Holiday/Xmas Game Sale
New Year Game Sale

and so on. Bring on more Game Sales and you would see a jump in sales big time by a lot of people.

Since you guys at the PSN are having difficulty coming up with games for the PS2 Classics section, which I am all for by the way. The PS2 was the greatest system of all time. It defined a generation, a generation I was honored to be apart of. Allow me to suggest some games: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Final Fantasy XII, Hitman Blood Money (including its predecessors Silent Assassin, and Contracts.) and Dynasty Warriors 5.
Thanks for listening. :)

It is cool how Fight Night Champion is selling the game piece by piece. I love the fact I could scan my face into the game and create myself as a boxer.

Hey Morgan,

I’m writing to make a few requests and suggestions that I know would help increase sales, first the suggestions…

1. To standardize the time in which the Store is updated, take a note from what the Playstation Home Team does and shut down the store at Midnight and update the store. So when people wake up the store will be ready and updated, instead of these random late and sometime early store updates
2. Get in contact with the firmware team and have them add the ability in the next firmware update to allow us to continue to listen to our music when we enter the PS Store
3. Lower the Price of PS1 back to $4.99 ea instead of $5.99 ea, I was much more tempted to get a $20 PSN Card and buy 4 PS1 games for $20, now I just won’t buy them unless their on sale.
4. Add a gifting feature to the Store, so we can gift games and other DLC to friends and family
5. Suggest to Publishers that bundling is a great idea, even PS1 games. (i.e. Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3 for $11.99 or Crash Banidcoot 1, 2, 3 & CTR for $19.99)

To Be Continued…

38

+ Wolf26pack on November 8th, 2011 at 3:25 pm said:

Now for the requests

1. Bring out the Original Twisted Metal for PS1 and TM 3 & 4
2. Have a Sale on Folklore’s DLC
3. Bring out the PS1 NFS Series (Really Love NFS III Hot Pursuit)
4 Bundle the Interactive Art series (i.e. Aquatopia, Mesmerize Distort and Trace & Tori Emaki) for $3.99

Also please let Publishers know that games are just getting to expensive and their price increase is really not helping, like the PS1 titles where they used to be $4.99 and are now regularly $5.99, I am now seeing games that usually would be $9.99 are now $14.99, I refuse to pay more than $9.99 for a single downloadable game unless it is episodic like Back to the Future or Jurassic Park. I mean a great example would be Plants Vs. Zombies. The app on the iphone is I think $2.99 but on the PS Store it’s $14.99, and I know that it has more to it but, I know not enough to justify a $14.99 price. Although some may buy these games I know a lot of people would agree with me. I always vote with my wallet to show my support for games but I just don’t understand why in such hardtimes everyone feels so justified to raise prices rather than lower them. Just my opinion I guess, well keep up the good work.
