Thanks for the reminder to add Super 8 and Conan the Barbarian to my Netflix queue !
Its much cheaper to rent multiple movies by the month than one at a time on PSN.

A montly subscription is needed for the video service. I prefer going to the videoclub to rent the movies since I also get the bonus content that is on the disc. We should be able to Stream not only the movie, but the complete BD. I mean, when you would rent a movie on the Store you would be able to stream it like a BD, with the menus and bonus content…

If not, at least give us real unlimitted with subscriptions, pay per month, no contrat, like NetFlix but with a better menu, more options, etc. (like languages, starred movies, a “watch later” section, etc).

By the way, we cannot change the language of the movies we rent, this is a BIG problem in Canada, Québec. I am french but watch my movies in english, still, I can only access the french versions of the movies, there is NO WAY to change the language, and there is NO WAY to change the language of my playstation store account (sadly). This is really important since I don’t plan on renting movies in french (sometimes, but rarely), and I don’t have the choice right now…

Thank you anyway for the update. Super8 is a movie I wanna see (I’ll rent it at the videoclub sadly).

They should have promotions some video stores do.

Like if you rent 2 movies you’ll get it for the price of 1.

Or

Spend 25$ this week on movie rentals and get 2 free rentals, something along those lines. There needs to be an incentive to rent movies on the ps store, now there really isn’t.

@ FFXI-Gaara,

They killed the comic store a couple months ago. The lack of interest I guess and the fact that it was only accessible for those with a PSP…

on an unrelated note, i thought the site to deactivate devices from our PSN accounts was well to deactivate them(ps3’s or psp’s), but what i found out was they give you intructions on how to deactivate them rather than deactivate said devices. I need some assistance on this… Maybe its just me but either way it be nice if some one helped

I had a serious problem with Video Unlimited last week. I downloaded the app to my new Slim. I noticed while it was downloading, the file name was absolute gibberish: sakdhyuffehilwnvewobjnvhnwejmiowjnvjeml.whateverthefilenamewas. After it downloaded, it looked like it started up, the screen went black and nothing worked. The PS button on the controller was useless and I couldn’t even turn the PS3 off with the power button, there was no response at all. I had to actually unplug the PS3 just to turn it off.

I turned the PS3 back on and it never even downloaded the file. Whatever it was, did something seriously wrong.

Hey Sony, please add a Pandora app to the music section on the xmb…You have Pandora on your Blu-rays and Tv’s why not ps3….Yes ,I know i can access through the browser but its cheesy and lackluster.

Also please add a crackle app to the tv/video section on xmb. going into HOME to watch it stinks…

I would love to watch Super 8, but, imagine that, I keep getting an error code whenever I try to add funds to my wallet. 80023102… That’s an error code saying that I am having troubles connecting to Playstation Network right? Then wtf am I getting it for when I am already signed into the PSN and in the store? If I am paying 3.99 a movie this sh^t should work, especially after the network was down forever and they re-constructed the network (in theory). All and all PN you are starting to get on my last nerve…

I might be interested but I’ve been unable to buy anything though qriocity (including anything on PSN) for almost a month. Something is messed up with they way your service is handling credit cards and all 3 of mine no longer work on your service. Please check out the support forums and see all the topics about people unable to add funds to their accounts and let those in charge of the billing services know of the problem. We are trying to give you money here.

Its funny just reading the first 18 comments, I could create a better service then what is offered. How hard is it to ask your customers what they want, and when they tell you to give it to them. These forums just go to show you companies don’t care about their customers anymore and heck making money must not be a big concern for them either. The big shot has an idea and won’t listen to any reasoning or make any changes. Just look at Netflix for example, he didn’t listen to anyone. A child in middle school could’ve known what was going to happen before it did. For any company to be successful, it just has to listen to its customers.

@TrippinFlame I too am wondering the details of how to deactivate consoles. Also now you can only download things off the PSStore twice? how does that work if my old console no longer works & I want to re-download it onto new slim model PS3?
