We just updated the Music Unlimited service application on PS3 with some great features that many of you have been asking for. Cosmetically, you’ll probably first notice that our new branding has finally landed on PS3. More importantly, however, the new app gives you added control over how you listen to and access music.
We’re most excited about the new “My Channels” function that lets you build custom radio stations around your favorite artists. Simply type in the name of the artist and we’ll populate a station with songs from that artist and related artists.
Another great enhancement to the service makes it easier to skip tracks you dislike. Really don’t like a song that is playing on one of the channels? Just “dislike” it and we’ll automatically skip to the next one.

When someone plays Warp for the first time, they generally have one reaction: laugh at the volume of blood, then turn to me and say, “I didn’t expect that.” This is what happens when a cuddly alien makes a scientist explode from the inside out. With its sci-fi world, unique mechanics, and combination of adorable character meets extreme gore, Warp is the kind of game you might not expect to see – if it weren’t for the digital space, that is.
So what’s the game about, other than pulverizing scientists? Warp is a puzzle-based stealth action game where you play as Zero, an adorable alien trapped in a human testing facility. You’ve been captured and experimented on, and wake up from your ordeal with one ultimate goal: escape. Easier said than done but, lucky for us, cute little Zero isn’t really that helpless.
Warp is all about your alien powers, and the entire game was designed as a showcase for their many applications. We put a lot of work into making sure that, not only are these powers really fun, but players can combine them in many different ways for a completely unique play experience. The powers (we’ve revealed so far) are:
The buzz is getting louder and louder each week… Take a look. Next week we will begin to roll out some new and exciting details on ModNation Racers: Road Trip! We will start by introducing the new Road Trip Track Studio and a few features that will literally take the track creation to a whole new level!
It’s only fitting that this week we feature one the of the game’s most prolific and creative track designers, atheistsw. He shares his personal favorite tracks as well as in-depth tutorial on the ins and outs of his popular and unique style of track design. Hopefully you can take away some great tips to become an even better track creator — just in the nick of time to take your tracks on the road to show your friends at work or school, on the bus, on a plane, on a horse or on a train!

Invasion: Aftermath – Creating this alien invasion took all of my imagination and editorial know-how to succeed but the end result is one of my most fun courses to date.
Two of the biggest award-winning franchises return to the PS3 this week with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Quantic Dream’s cinematic thriller Heavy Rain receives a Director’s Cut loaded with DLC, the complete soundtrack, and bonus making-of features (my favorite!). Fans of Metal Gear Solid can look forward to playing MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater and MGS: Peace Walker with the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection on Blu-ray.
Io the digital storefront, digital versions of EA’s Fight Night Champion and Dead Space 2 arrive on PSN ready to download this Tuesday. Also on PSN, classics return this week with Chrono Cross for PSone and two new PS2 classics. The PS3 brings yet another fantastic week of blockbusters on this week’s The Drop.
I hope you remembered to set your clocks back an hour this morning. Rather than banking the extra hour for sleep, I invested it in a bonus hour of Batman: Arkham City. If you’ve played it, you already know how incredible a game it is, but I’d still like to finish it off before the next 9 days bring us Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and Modern Warfare 3.
It’s been a great launch for UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, and more Drake-centric stories came through this week. You’ll also find pieces on Need for Speed: The Run, Battlefied 3 and Final Fantasy XIII-2 in the reading list below.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! San Francisco is suffering a bit of a cold spell, so it’s the perfect excuse to stay inside and finish UNCHARTED 3. And Batman: Arkham City. And Rage. And Dark Souls. And Shadow of the Colossus. And Dead Island. And Battlefield 3. All in preparation for this Tuesday, with the arrival of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Wish me luck!

Street Fighter X Tekken
First, we sat down with Capcom’s resident fighting expert Seth Killian to discuss the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken, which blends the fluid 2D elegance of Street Fighter with the rough-and-tumble brawling of Tekken. We were particularly curious to learn about Gems, which work as customizable loadouts for your fighters, and how inFAMOUS 2’s Cole McGrath will stack up in battle. Watch the video for more on this eagerly anticipated PS3 and PS Vita fighter.

Like UNCHARTED
Hopefully by now you’ve had an awesome, fun time embarking on Drake’s latest adventure, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and its sonic landscape is invading your dreams at night as you think about how to help Drake tackle the next challenge in his journey for the fabled “Atlantis of the Sands.”
We worked very closely with hyper-talented composer Greg Edmonson to create a truly remarkable aural experience for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Created to fit a wide variety of daring situations and subtle moods, Greg’s music is expertly crafted to evoke the high action, interactive cinematic feel that the UNCHARTED franchise is known for. The sounds and tones Greg uses help to fill the atmosphere at the proper moments of action, tension or drama and help drive the pace of the gameplay. Those stirring, and at times delicate or aggressive and hardened, acoustics can now be downloaded directly to your PS3.
