As the Fall season continues, what better way to celebrate than to stock up on some great PSN games! The Fall Sale goes for 1 week starting today and is offering some great discounts on amazing titles for the entire PSN audience.

PSP owners have some great content to look to today as the release of Corpse Party, Final Fantasy V (PS one Classic playable on PSP or PS3) and NBA2K12 are now available to download. In Corpse Party, retro-styled visuals and binaural 3D audio give this story-driven horror adventure a unique atmosphere. On the other end of the spectrum, the NBA 2K franchise is back and bigger than ever with NBA 2K12 on PSP. In addition to the incredible NBA action, players can now relive 10 legendary games from Michael Jordan’s career in the “Jordan Challenge.”

In other new release news, if you haven’t had the chance to pick up Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One in Stores, you can now download the entire experience on the PlayStation Store in the PS3 Full Game category. This 4 player co-op adventure received rave reviews when it released earlier this Fall, and now the entire experience is easy to download straight to your PS3.

Tekken Hybrid Hits Today Exclusively for PS3

+ Posted by "Filthie" Rich Bantegui on Nov 22, 2011

tekken hybrid

Hey guys! I wanted to give everyone a quick look at everything you’ll be getting with today’s release of Tekken Hybrid exclusively for PS3. Tekken Hybrid comes with three Tekken experiences: Tekken Tag Tournament HD, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, and Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D all on one Blu-ray disc! And I hope you brought your 3D glasses, because Tekken Blood Vengeance and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue are both compatible with 3D televisions. Plus, if you buy the Limited Edition you get a special two-disc soundtrack of Tekken Tag and Tekken Tag 2 music, as well as a hardcover art book filled with information and art from all three parts of the Tekken Hybrid package. Now on to the good stuff, the chewy center or this Tekken nougat, here is what you’ll be getting with your copy of Tekken Hybrid.

Tekken Tag Tournament HD

This was a game-changer when it was released in 1999 for arcades, and the following year as a PlayStation 2 launch title. Let’s take all the characters In the Tekken franchise for two-on-two tag battles, throw in Tekken Bowl, which ended up being a fan-favorite mini-game, and have players go buck wild in extreme two-on-two matches.

Nathan Drake Returns to PlayStation: The Official Magazine

Like UNCHARTED

ptom

What better way to celebrate the arrival of PlayStation’s most anticipated game of the year than with a blowout review? PTOM’s holiday issue cover feature breaks down the highs (many) and the lows (not many) of UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception. Yes, it’s bigger and better than its predecessor in nearly every expected way, but even we were surprised by what emerged as the game’s defining trait.

The holiday season always means a deluge of games to review, but the quality of titles available this year is unprecedented. Check out our verdicts on Batman: Arkham City, Saints Row: The Third, and Rayman Origins and you may come to same conclusion we have: Our friends and family had better be generous this year ’cause we can’t afford all this gaming goodness.

But if your thoughts run more toward giving than getting (sucker), PTOM’s annual Holiday Gift Guide offers up the best gamer loot..er, presents of the season. The PTOM staff even makes personal appearances in the feature and share their most precious memories of Christmas’ past for your mocking pleasure.

Introducing: MotorStorm RC for PSN and PS Vita

Paul Rustchynsky's Avatar + Posted by Paul Rustchynsky on Nov 22, 2011

I’m delighted to be able to announce – and show a trailer for – MotorStorm RC, Evolution Studios’ upcoming radio controlled off-road racing game for PS Vita and PlayStation Network. It was also announced literally moments ago on stage – so it’s absolutely hot off the press!

You can watch first video of MotorStorm RC in action here.

I’ve been game director to a small, elite team at Evolution Studios for most of the year, creating a simulation of high-speed radio-controlled car racing for PSN download. We’re extremely pleased with how the game is coming together; it’s a perfect combination of classic racing with really modern connectivity features and it’s already bigger than your average download game, with visually stunning renditions of all four MotorStorm worlds (and eight of their vehicle classes). Every aspect of the game comes loaded with endless competition that you can share with friends and rivals worldwide – whether that’s on PS3 or PS Vita, or both – and we’re still packing it full of challenges, race types and features too!

Deploying at Vita Launch: Zipper’s Unit 13

Brian Soderberg's Avatar + Posted by Brian Soderberg on Nov 22, 2011

unit 13

On behalf of the entire team at Zipper Interactive, I am proud to announce a new shooter, Unit 13, designed from the ground up for the new PlayStation Vita. It’s been very exciting developing a game for the first portable console with precision dual analog sticks, the perfect platform for a fast action, hard-hitting, third-person shooter like Unit 13. In addition, Vita’s front and back touch interface provided a unique and fun way to interact quickly with in-the-world elements of the game.

Fast action, on-the-go gameplay was a key goal for the Unit 13 team. The game is designed for players to move quickly into the action, choosing from one of six Operatives with unique abilities to tackle 36 action-packed missions across nine unique locales. Missions come in a variety of sizes and difficulty. Some are smaller bite-sized battles; others are longer, more challenging, multi-objective missions that are a good test for any skilled shooter fan. As you make your way through the variety of missions, you unlock the right to take on the tougher High Value Target (HVT) enemy battles. After completing an HVT mission, you can share them with friends and nearby players through PlayStation Vita’s “NEAR” feature.

Let’s Get This Corpse Party Started!

Tom Lipschultz's Avatar + Posted by Tom Lipschultz on Nov 22, 2011

Halloween may be over, but if you’ve ever wondered what Thanksgiving might be like from the turkey’s point of view, Corpse Party’s totally got your back!

Releasing for the PSP later today as a PlayStation Store exclusive download (at a mere $19.99), Corpse Party immerses you within the creepy confines of a dangerously haunted, completely inescapable school building as you struggle in vain to rescue your friends from the clammy grasp of death and find a way back home before suffering a complete descent into insanity (or worse!).

So after you’ve feasted upon the supple flesh of the holiday bird this week, let the tryptophan lull you into a false sense of comfort, dim the lights and get ready to have some serious nightmares. This party’s just getting started – and it ain’t messin’ around!
