With the holiday season in full effect, we’re giving PlayStation Plus subscribers extra discounts and free games. The total value of all this month’s offers total over $250 with about $50 being free games.
This month’s free content includes the PS3 full game Tomb Raider: Underworld and PSN game Marvel Pinball. The free PSone Classic of the month will be Spyro Year of the Dragon. If anyone is keeping track this is the third PSone Classic from the Spyro franchise offered in Plus and since it’s the holiday, we’ll bring back the first two again to offer the full collection in December. To finish out the free games, take your pick from free early access to minis like Orbit, or mini favorites like A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! or Mad Blocker Alpha.
We always look to give Plus subscribers extra discounts on top of existing PlayStation Store sales and promotions and this month is no exception. The Holiday Collection Sale will feature some great deals on PS3 full game bundles, with Plus subscribers getting an extra discount on top of these deals. With PlayStation Store promotions happening throughout the year, a Plus subscription always comes in handy. PlayStation Plus is waste of money

Why do people want a new XMB? Its the simplest most efficient dashboard a console could have and much better then the competition has. Try to wade through all the ads and find something you want, LOL.
XMB rocks, but I wish it was slightly customizable.
As in let me decide which icons I want to remove because I never use them, like the 4 mentions of PS-Store, or the new second video section is useless.

I was the same way about QORE before PS+ came out.
You buy stuff, then they give it to you free, then they give it to you again 6 months later.
I propose a 20% refund for games purchased at full price then turn free for plus members.
I also think its unfair for Sony to lump everyone together and say “this is what they want”. there is too many of us to satisfy this way!!
Just list the free games you propose, and we either except them or trade our free offerings each month for either:
-a 20% discount on any single purchase of content we choose.
-a $2 credit towards any content we want, then we could save it up all year and get any one thing that we actually wanted that year.
Remember these options make us forfeit any free content that month.
Nobody could possibly complain by doing this, and likely Plus would have many more subscribers.
Its just that I have spent well over $1000 on PSN and this includes much of what you have given and are likely to give in the future.
Its almost like being punished for making purhcases on PSN, is that the message Sony wants us to take home? “Never buy anything, just buy Plus and wait” I dont know why they would send that message.
Its getting harder to love my PS3 these days, I still do but it is becoming a consious effort.

-Spamming me with ads on the XMB for Netflix, video unlimited, music unlimited, oricity, etc.
-I just renewed my plus for a full year, then they announce the removal of 3 activations, what kind of deal is that?
Its like they sold me something, then immediately removed 60% of its value and I was not offered any form of compensation for this extreme loss of value!!!!!!!
-The five free games offered due to us being hacked I already owned and no backup offer was in place for customers like me.
Its like Sony would prefer its older, loyal customers to GTFO, while they cater only to new customers.
Consider me Sony, I’m worth it.
I heard that Tomb Raider game wasnt very good, guess I’ll find out for myself.
Thats the one nice thing about Plus, you get to try out the crappy games without getting as bad of buyers remorse afterwards.
You still get it about Plus in general sometimes though.
Crysis is an old ashed game, and its not gonna look like it should via Comp, I’m thinking this is ripe for a PSPlus game trial or discount.
Tomb Raider game isn’t very good from what I remember when I rented it a few years back. Still, I have only heard good things about that pinball game so looking forward to trying it out.

Off-topic: finally got my blu-ray drive to read discs again yesterday. Who would have thought tilting it on its backside(where the cables connect to the system) would make it work? Need to find the forum i read that in so I can go and thank that guy.

Unfortunately, I already have Tomb Raider: Underworld . Hopefully though, this is a sign that we’ll get more PS3 Full Games in the coming months! A good idea would be a choice like the Welcome Back program – pick 1 of 3 Full games as your freebie for the month.
I look forward to trying out the Marvel Pinball game, so at least there is 1 game for me this month. It would also be better if you gave us 3 PSN games and 1 PS1 classic, instead of the other way around, 1 PSN game (Marvel Pinball) and 3 PS1 classics (Spyro games). Most of the PS1 classics I’ve tried are not much fun, poor graphics and awkward play.
Anyways, PS+ is generally a decent deal most months, keep up the good work !

I hope Tomb Raider is good I read online that it got a B review so i am willing to take the risk of the 6GB install to play it. I love getting marvel pinball free for plus. I already have it on my 360 but I don’t mind getting it for free and racking up some trophy’s. This month seems to me to be the best month for Plus.

Awesome update for me! Can’t please everyone I guess. Plus has been very worthwhile to this gamer. TRU is ok I guess, but Marvel Pinball is a delighter. You gave us Zen Pinball last year and that was super addictive so I am really looking forward to the Marvel tables.
Ok, some constructive feedback, I find almost all the minis a waste, they suck, and only 1 or 2 of the dynamic themes have made it into my rotation. The avatar selection has been rather crappy as well. Please improve those.
How about dynamic avatars for a future firmware Sony? That would be a clear differentiator from the competition.

Is there typically a delay for this to trickle out to all the PSN servers ? I’m in the US, on the west coast, and I’m not seeing any new content listed.
So the upcoming 30% off the Red Dead Redemption bundle is a good deal, but not as much as the one I missed before of 50% off for Plus members.
Wow! Just wow! PS+ just paid for itself all over again! Now if only I could get my PS3 back from repair before the deal is out!

Quick question…Everytime i try to install the spyro games…thats all it lets me do, I install them, but it doesnt go to the hard drive, so it has be install the game again…and so on, any help?
Okay, now this is an awesome update.
I traded in the Tomb Raider collection after I finished it off, but I will totally download that digital version of Underworld just to have it hanging around on my HDD.
And I’ve been thinking about purchasing Marvel Pinball as I’ve been really getting into Pinball Heroes on my PSP, but now I get it free, and some of the add-ons for it at a nice discount. This is awesome.
My only issue is that the PSOne games have all already been given for free with PS+ in the past. I guess it’s nice for newer subs that didn’t get them before, but meh. The only PSOne game I’ve purchased was Breath of Fire IV, as I’m pretty sure that’ll never make it into the PS+ Free category.

Whats the date the first year people expire? I want to know what happens when people let their subscription run-out and then re-subscribe. I got in on the $17 Target ad mistake but I’m not going to use it unless I see a reason.
And yes, all 3 Spyro games were previously issued for PS+, they are all still on my HDD. Marvel Pinball is new as is TR:U (I wonder if TRU paid them for that name?).
I really thought Sony would do something special to get people to renew but I guess not. Not exactly sure what, but something that said “thank you” for being an early adapter.
What they did in Europe was a total FU. They basically said – wait until next Dec. to sign up for a year and then you can get every game at once and have a year to play them. It makes no sense.
Oh well, $50 for about 17 months was still worth it, even with all the lies and double talk and repeat games. I really don’t understand what people expect for $50 where they could say it wasn’t worth it, unless you already owned all the games beforehand, in which case, yeah, Sony took you for a fool, twice.

Of course Marvel has DLC! What a surprise! Great game though. I forgot I liked pinball games. Though I have to say, as a new member of Playstation Plus. I’m going to need more free games within the coming months to not feel cheated out of the previous deals. Hoping every year is the best year to be a Playstation Plus consumer.
