  • I would love to get Music Unlimited!! Will this new 60 day trial work in my area? (Puerto Rico/USA)

  • I previewed the free 30 day trial when Music unlimited was first rolled out. Can I assume I am not eligible for this 60 day trial just like I was denied the 6 month trial that was previously offered because I tried your service early?

  • Dumb how we have to use our credit card for the trial… I’ll pass.

  • I keep trying to use my credit card on PSN… It gives me constant errors… I even contacted my issuing card bank to confirm the address (since that’s the error I keep getting) but, the address is correct. I have money to spend on PSN SONY!! Don’t you want my business????? O_O BTW… Plz!! Make Music Unlimited available in Puerto Rico ip addresses or w/e… PLZ!!! :'(

  • BTW… I keep trying to play the video and it says it’s set to private… What’s up with that? O_o

  • I have no idea why someone would waste their money on this, when they could get better services at cheaper prices…like iTunes Match, which is $25 a year, or Google Music, which is free, or the Amazon cloud. That, and you’d have to be a real airhead to trust Sony with your credit card information.

  • i can see the video and your credit card info needs to be exactly like it shows on your statement… each like needs coincide w/ the way it is on the statement.

My question is, will i be charged for the next 2 months since im a subscriber since it came onto the PS3? or am i excluded?

  • @polo

I think us subscribers are excluded feom this

  • The youtube video wont play on the blog its saying its private

  • Warning to all. If you use this with your PC it will re-tag most of your music and completely ruin any organization you may have had going on. Just a heads up.

  • @ Ashley Harris
The youtube video is set to private… noob.

  • I had signed up for this when it first came out and have to say that I love it. there’s a nice selection of metal bands, both old and new…which is my basic aural staple. I do like to switch it up and keep on getting surprised at what they have listed. Give it a try!

  • Would try it but not entering my credit card details for a trial, sorry.

I wonder how many people will try it out, forget to cancel, and then get charged for a month of service.

I also wonder if people forget to cancel the trial more often over a 60 day trial versus a 30 day trial.

a nice option for those interested anyway.

  • just a reminder of these trials……

DONT FORGET TO CANCEL JUST BEFORE ITS UP.

I was charged after the trial. i know i should have read the fine print. But just don’t forget!….thats if you try it.

  • If you would do it without a credit card and the automatic charge thing, I’d be interested. I’m not going to sign up and then forget to cancel it and be dinged for it. Seems kinda like you guys know people will forget and then you can ding em for the monthly fee. Dirty pool if you ask me. Just don’t forget to cancel? Yea right, it’s not like I already have a thousand freaking things to keep track of.

  • Credit card for a trial? NO WAY

  • Thanks for the offer SONY, but I’ll pass on this one. I’d rather have a couple of free months of PS+.

  • No thanks. I will keep my credit card information to myself.

  • I guess ill keep on posting on these posts! Get it here! Sweden/Europe! How can you not give me an great thing like this! :D

  • I don’t get this… can someone please help me understand. If I purchase this “music unlimited” will I be able to play games while listening to this content, like the xbox?.

This is where I feel that PS is lacking, the party system and overall user accessibility.

On the Box I can destroy opponents in UMVC3 listening to my favorite enemy crushing music, while on the PS I have to listen to that “Take you for a ride” song 100,000,000 times.

Why would I want “Music Unlimited” when I have the mp3s and can easily listen to them out of game?.

  • If you guys would incorporate the kind of features Spotify has I would switch in a second. The Music Unlimited App has terrible streaming and it’s interface is just a poor lay out. People listen to music on the go and don’t always have internet connections (or I guess use AT&T in the Vita’s case). Make music, personal playlist in particular, available on and off line so people don’t have to worry about music buffering when your on a run, walking across campus, or traveling on the Metro. Don’t play this “That’s not possible” because right now Spotify can do it. If you design a better app and allow for offline playlist music access, consider me a subscriber.

for those who think I’m just hating, I’m not. I love my PS3 and PSP and would love nothing more than to tie my account and PSN ID to my phone so I get one bill and only need one login and password. These things are totally doable.

  • “You must be age 18 or over. Credit cards details required. Unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free trial, it will automatically renew and you will be charged a recurring subscription fee.”

    WHY?

  • I’m getting no audio from that clip.

  • CANADAAA??

  • No iOS (iPhone and iPad) app = not for me, and not for MILLIONS OF FANS.

Really, this should be a major concern. I know Sony probably wants to protect their brands, but limiting access will only let less users access the content, which will result in a big loss for the service. I’m already a google+ user and I can’t say enough that it needs an iOS app (at least they made a special iOS webapp so we can access the songs). The music unlimitted should have it’s own iOS app to listent AND store the music (I do around an hour of subway, with no access to wifi or 3G). Then, yes, I’ll pay the monthly price, lol.

    Good luck anyway with that.

  • Waiting for the service in Mexico…

  • I forgot to cancel my previous trial on time and had to call to get the charges reversed, Sony support was nice about this BTW … but if you think you might forget keep in mind that it will automatically start charging you at the end of the trial.

The app looks OK, but as some people mentioned, they don’t have the app on enough platforms (like an iPhone, non-Sony TVs, etc). Look at something like Pandora (free with ads BTW) it runs on everything, even on my Samsung TV.

  • @14 and 16

That’s exactly the type of thing they are banking on with a 60 day “free” trial .

Let me use they supposed “free trials” and if I like them THEN I will give you my credit card info . Not before . No way .

  • Started registering for free trial;

    Was asked for my credit card information;

    Cancelled registration.

  • very cool

  • If you want to offer a 60 day free trial THEN DON’T ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD. It is not free if you do it that way.

  • You guys got asked for a credit card? weird, I didn’t have to put in any card info at all. Unless it just took my info off my system already……If so then wtf, I didn’t give consent for that. It better tell me when my trial is over and if I want to continue using it and not automatically charge me.

  • OK NOW I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS…NOW I HAVE SUBSCRIBED BEFORE, I HAVE PAID FOR 2 FULL MONTHS OF PREMIUM SERVICE, WHICH IN TERM MAKES ME A PAYING CUSTOMER–NOW ME BEING A PAYING CUSTOMER MEANS THAT I CANNOT RECEIVE THIS FREE 60 DAYS..YOU GUYS ARE PUNISHING YOUR BIGGEST SUPPORTERS BY NOT OFFERING THIS, WHY IS THAT? YOU GUYS SHOULD CHANGE THIS IMMEDIATELY SEEING AS HOW THIS IS A “HOLLIDAY GIFT” I WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE FROM YOU GUYS THAN A FREE 60 DAYS OF MY OWN..IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME TO PUNISH THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT YOU AND REWARDING THE ONES THAT DO NOT..I UNDERSTAND THE APPEAL FOR PEOPLE TO TRY IT AND THEN SUBSCRIBE–BUT IF YOU ARE OFFERING IT TO SOME OFFER TO ALL..I LOVE YOUR SERVICE–AS DO OTHERS–SO BE GIVING AND DO THE RIGHT THING

–I am severely sorry for all caps, i just want this to be seen because it is [DELETED] that because i ACTUALLY PAID for service that I and any other people that are not BRAND NEW to the service cannot get 60 free days..if anything it should be the other way around–and best case scenario it should be both like i implied in my post..thank you for your time and I hope that this caught the attention of the sony folks and we can all enjoy this great service for 60 days =)

  • I was gonna get it until I saw you have to give your CC info! No, thanks Sony I’ll pass! And also, why did you or Amazon stop selling the PSN cards on there? I always used to buy them from them, and now I really have stopped purchasing PSN games due to this!! So many I wanted to buy too. :( Please have Amazon offer it again!

  • I tried the trial before which had no music really that was worth anything. This seems to be the unlimited plan, but what’s the point if you can’t use this music on anything other then sony products? You can’t even download it to use it on it’s own on your PS3. No thanks I don’t think i’ll be “renting” music from you Sony. Besides, another place your CC will be floating around with Sony. I think everyone is understandably “skittish” about that fact.

  • hmm interesting, could set up a playlist on PS3, then listen on my Android phone.

  • The service looks awesome!
Wish it would be avaible in Canada.

btw, Why don’t you sell each songs individually like iTunes, Video Unlimited PS Store, etc
Hell, Apples makes billions in iTunes sells!
I can easily see you guys give both the service subscription and a second seperate application store to purchase the songs you want. I’d buy songs from your store.

  • does the premium 60-day free trial include psn users who have already redeemed the basic free trial that was offered when the service first came out

  • they should update this app to where i can download music from Music Unlimited and listen to it for as long as my subscription is active, its a way to compete with Microsoft’s Zune services

  • lol at the people who get bugged out about entering your credit card information. Everytime you use your credit card, you are giving up your information… whats the difference from entering it online at amazon, ebay, or even using it in a store…there is no difference. Sony is well aware of the lawsuits and legality issues involved when dealing with peoples credit card information. This is an established and accomplished company. Stop being paranoid and neurotic.

  • This is awesome! It didn’t ask me for any credit card information (nor do I have a credit card on file) – and I was able to redeem the free trial! :)

Surprised at the large selection to be honest. I’ll most likely subscribe. Add Last.FM and I’ll guarantee you my future subscription xD

  • Oh nevermind – had an old prepaid credit card on it :P Ah well. Happy either way!
