The video service was an epic fail this weekend. Sony hooked me in with the Cowboys flick. The wife and I sat down Friday night at 8pm to view the movie. 1/2 hour later, still no movie as the Store and Video service kept coming up with errors and “We’re in maintenance mode” messages. The service is clearly not ready for prime time.

agreed SgtRufus , and the sad part is i wanna give it a try by trying to tier the service from basic to premium is ridiculous. plus maybe doing away with basic could make there lives easier and set a one set price of 16 bucks a month for both services for video unlimited and music unlimited, then if some one wants to choose make it 8 bucks a month for individual service. Then further more if you subscribe to ps plus service offer a immediate discount ranging from a dollar to 2 dollars. seriously i see no body use those services on my PS3 list. I guess sony likes to try and money hound and make cool products to elite for the average consumer in the time were streaming video and music bargains can be found out side there console.

I had tried Music Unlimited, but it was soooo slow in every regards (loading, streaming, etc) and the Android app was really horrible. Whoever designs a UI with 30 tiny, unreadable album covers on the launch page for a mobile phone needs to take an introductory class in design. Also, there’s just so much competition out there that provide the same type of service doing it better at the moment. I think Sony needs to rethink this and offer something unique, otherwise these services will continue to get lost in the shuffle as they are now.

I love Ashley Harris’s top Country Album choice!
Wish that album would get more recognition. So well done and the live concert footage was nothing but amazing.

sony needs to come up with a better marketing plan for qirocity music and video stores. i like what they got going on but come one give us a subscription tied into our ps plus memebership.

how come i can’t rent Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes from the PSN store? i don’t wanna buy it until i know its good enough to own, i didn’t get a chance to see it in theatres this summer which was a bummer

I do have a good question. With all the other video services, Vudu, Netflix to name a few.
Why should I buy a movie on from the PS Store? They don’t follow me (like Vudu) I don’t get to keep them once I remove them from my HDD. I bought some tv shows before, but unlike games, I can’t get them back.

So again, why would we buy from the PSN video store?
