Sports Champions (PS Move Compatible) — Reign supreme as the ultimate sports champion as you crush, spike and smoke the competition in this ultimate sports showdown. Sports Champions introduces players to six sports challenges that leverage the PlayStation Move’s precise gameplay and 1-to-1 control. So whether you’re tossing a disc toward a target, spiking a ball, or perfecting your serve, Sports Champions precisely simulates your exact movement, delivering a realistic and ultra-sensory experience. Casual gamers will enjoy Sports Champions’ intuitive pick-up and play gameplay, while core gamers will find the game’s precision and accuracy challenging as they strive to perfect their athletic techniques and take home the win.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game (PS Move Compatible) — The PlayStation 3 version of Toy Story 3 gives gamers even more excitement with exclusively feature content and gameplay. Emperor Zurg, one of the most beloved villains of the Toy Story franchise, is a playable character here in the game’s Toy Box mode. As the sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance, Emperor Zurg enters the video game’s Toy Box mode complete with his sphere-shooting cannon and speed on wheels to unleash mayhem on Woody’s Western Town.

In addition, Toy Story 3: The Video Game is designed to be one of the first games to market featuring gameplay compatible with the PlayStation Move motion controller. Following the game’s launch, PS3 players can download mini-games that become playable with the PlayStation Move once players have this motion controller technology in their hands.

Crazy Machines Elements (Demo Available) — In grand Crazy Machines tradition, players must create wacky chain reactions using different parts and accomplish the tasks set out in their mission, from knocking vases over to blowing out candles. Players can also use lots of new parts besides the elements, including cloud machines, pinwheels and flamethrowers.

Choplifter HD — Choplifter returns with 21st century graphics and a new twist on classic game play, allowing you to take control of a variety of different helicopters on over 20 missions. Bank, hover and sidestep around danger to drop down and rescue innocent lives.

Saving is no longer restricted to certain locations with the addition of the Memo File function. Multiple gameplay modes allow players to customize game difficulty when beginning a new quest. CG movies and stills have been added throughout the game, taking the story to new cinematic heights. Improved sound quality, new opening themes, and an added art gallery deepen the game experience.

  • toy story 3 and cars 2 the greatest games of 2011 on the psn digitally my dreams come true…

  • I should get Final Fantasy Origins! Is it for $10 dollars? If it is then that’s a good deal! Two games for the price of one! I also want to get the Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo. I can’t wait for that game to come out!

  • Agreed with #1.

  • Just awesome

  • That’s it? Weak.

  • What. No PlayStation Vita software this week. What kind of BS is this lol

  • Asura’s Wrath demo…oooooooh yeah. =D

  • Any word on Suikoden II or Legend of Dragoon???

  • I guess Amy got pushed back. o_O oh well. Thanks for the heads up. I’m trembling in anticipation.
btw, any news on Silent Hill 4 coming to ps2 classics in time for the Silent Hill HD collection? ^_^

  • Dude! Where are the PS2 classics?

  • @9

No nothing has been said about either from either Sony for LoD or Konami for S2. sadly the only real way we have to check the status on PS1 games gettign re-released is via the ESRB website. Anytime a game is going to get a re-release it will be rerated. You can find this information from the ESRB site, just do a search for PSP games. The games are in order of what was just reviewed first and if you see PS1/PS3 for the system then its been rated recently. You can usually expect a 2-6 week period from when its rated to when its out for sale. Although in some cases it has taken Sony months to get a game out after being re-rated. This is sadly the only way for us that I have found to have some idea on what we should expect to via PS1 games.

    Hope this helps.
    Cacklen

  • PSOne Classics still missing: Die Hard Trilogy, MDK, Return Fire, Soul Blade, Tenchu

    @KazeEternal

C’mon man don’t get them riled up

  • @ us_greek

THANKS for bringing up Suikoden II. Sony – please work with Konami to get this released as a PSOne classic. The game is very rare and in major high demand. Speaking of Sony and Konami, it would be great to see Gradius Gaiden hit the Japanese import side. Also, can we ever hope to get Otomedius Excellent released for PS3? Lastly, how about Wipeout XL as a PSOne classic. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have problems with the music when I play my disc on my PS3

Don’t give up on the PS2 Classics. It would be nice if they would support the internal PS2 memory cards thnough…

Good drop this week. Looking forward to sampling FF XIII-2 and Asura’s Wrath.

  • Awesome….Toy Story 3….woohoo….!! A movie tie-in that doesn’t suck. GREAT single player and a sandbox mode similar to WOW.

BTW – saw video of Choplifter HD and that does look promising….might have to get. Also – definitely getting Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo….looks like they corrected a lot of issues.

  • Other than the 13=2 demo, this is kinda weak. Maybe SR3 DLC will be out this week?

  • PS2 classic wanted ——> TOBAL #2

  • or was that PS1….??

  • Oohhhh… Choplifter HD. I loved me some Choplifter back in the day, gonna have to check it out. Gonna check out the FF XIII-2 demo too… really not expecting much after that turd they laid with XIII.

  • awesome line up for final fantasy & final fantasy 13-2; love the series. Can’t wait to get my hands on them, keep up great line of games to come.

  • Hey Rey. Any info on when Fear Effect is going to be released as a PS1 classic? It was rated by the ESRB awhile ago and released on the EU PSN in early December. Thanks!

  • The price of the bundle of a PS Move & Sports Champs is extremely high. I was going to buy it on sale at Amazon. Though I didn’t know it was only a one day sale. Now I have two PS Moves and know I probably won’t get that game. Would be nice to see more rail shooters. Like Area 51! I know Resident Evil Chronicles is coming. So is House of the Dead 3 & 4. But what’s after those? Hmmmmm. More games like those and PS Move would be much better.

  • Still waiting for these to come out on the PSN:

    Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
    Ape Escape
    Fatal Frame
    Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly
    Fatal Frame III: The Tormented

  • How about Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 for PS2 classics? And TimeSplitters Future Perfect?

Definetely getting the FF XIII-2 demo!

  • @ Cypher. You’d be surprised how much fun Sports Champions is. I assumed that it would be a “throw away” title since it was packed with the Move. But it really is good at showing how good the technology is and there is a lot of content. That being said, don’t get it off the store. It is sure to be too much. You can get it used at gamestop for like 10 bucks.

  • Intelligent cube in PS one classic! We need it!!

  • I would apreciate a response. What’s the news of possibly uploading the psp remakes of final fantasy 1 & 2? Because that’s a much better version. Thanks. (Ps have the hard case copy of ff1, but can’t play as my psp broke, so I use the psp go. Which obviously can’t play umd’s)

  • When/Is DiRT 3 coming to the US Store

  • Bummer update. FF 1&2 have been rereleased all over the place the past couple years, kinda funny that Playstation is last on the wagon with it, seeing that PSP got updated versions 3 years ago.

I’m interested to see the Azura’s Wrath demo, tho I have a feeling it’ll be a bust.

Here’s to hoping for a better update next week.

  • Isn’t Amy out this week ?

  • Asura’s Wrath FTW

  • Will definitely get the FFXIII-2 demo this week! (And now I just have to finish the first game in time hihi)

It’s nice to see that the Final Fantasy Origins collection has made it to the PSN here too. I’m just wondering what the difference is between this and the PSP 20th Anniversary versions? It seems that all that is left is Final Fantasy IV (which was part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles pack) then we’ll have all the PS1 Final Fantasy titles except Final Fantasy III which sadly never made it to Playstation.

  • @26 hey didn’t you know that for the psp go buyers there will be some way to get your games in digital form sometime in the near future? Oh wait. No there won’t. I’m buying vita day one and if they pull the same shennanigans I will be one upset hombre.

Asura’s Wrath looks very cool. I’m really looking forward to neverdead and twisted metal down the road a great deal more. Toy story 3 is a very cool game especially since Zurg is playable on PS3 only. That dude cracks me up.

  • I saw the trailer for Asura’s Wrath… seems a little… Idk, it’s not my style. Won’t be going for that demo.

The Blogcast mentioned that an Under Siege demo would be added to PSN this week as well. I’m looking forward to that one. :)

  • Oh and check out crazy machines elements, or at least the demo. It’s a fun little title that released in EU about 6 months ago. Sorry for the double. We should have an edit option.

  • PSone Classics: Battle arena Toshinden (all of them), Guilty gear (already on Euro Store), Dead or Alive, Trap Gunner.

PS2 Classics: Grandia II, Grandia Xtreme, Grandia III and I’ll complete my collection ^^^, Rogue galaxy, dark Chronicle and Dark Cloud…any Suikoden too… Atelier Series (for when Meruru release next year would be great)… and a lot more..

  • They’re leaving it up to the Facebook public to decide the fate of Amy for the US PS3 version. It looks as though most want a price match to the 360 version before it’s released, but there’s still time for those that don’t want a delay to vote “yes.”

You can go to this URL and click the link at the bottom to vote: http://bhimpact.gamespress.com/release.asp?i=997

  • Essentially, the initial price was to be $12.99 for Amy because VectorCell wished to provide a more than reasonable price for its fans. 360 got a slightly better price at $10 as opposed to $12.99 like everybody else. However, the only reason that 360 users are getting the $10 deal is that Microsoft’s currency doesn’t have a medium in between 10 and 15 bucks. I just don’t see the big deal in paying $13 for a great 10 hour game regardless of what 360 users pay. They have to pay to play online anyhow. Every system has its faults.

Anyhow, that’s my rant–take it or leave it.

  • Hey Rey, great job with this feature. The Drop is always a great way for everyone to get a good preview of what’s coming up for the week. Nice to see Sports Champions make its way onto the store.

Keep it up, buddy – Don (Editor, PlayStation Universe)

  • Asura’s Wrath demo??? I’m there.

  • Final Fantasy Origins? Lol, give us the best and better versions. I’m referring about the Final Fantasy Anniversary Editions for the PSP. The visuals on those games are cleaner and have better sound quality. Besides I already have Origins on disc. Give me the superior versions.

  • Now if we could only get a PSP remastering/port of Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI…

I’d easily pay $30 or $40 for each of those.

  • Oh and in regards to games we need as PSone Classics and PS2 Classics…

    Final Fantasy X International
    Final Fantasy X-2 International
    Final Fantasy XII International
    Grandia II
    Grandia Xtreme
    Grandia III
    Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
    Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts RE Chain of Memories
    Mega Man Anniversary Collection
    Mega Man Legends
    Mega Man Legends 2
    Mega Man X Collection
    Mega Man X7
    Mega Man X8
    Mega Man X Command Mission
    Midadventures of Tron Bonne

    PSN games we need…

    Capcom vs. SNK PRO
    Capcom vs. SNK 2
    Marvel vs. Capcom
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
Street Fighter Alpha 3 HD Remix
Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix HD Remix
    X-Men vs. Street Fighter

    .
    .
    .
    .
And yes I realize all of these are Square-Enix or Capcom games, but I mean they’re so damn good games!!!

  • @ 40
I totaly agree with you. Final Fantasy 1, 2 and 4 rocked hardcore with all of the bonus content. I think there going to release the next ones on the ps vita.

  • Hopefully Sonic Adventure 2 will start the next wave of Dreamcast games…

  • @ 40
I totaly agree with you again! But i want Final Fantasy 12 International with the option to have original license board. Btw did you know there was a sequel in the works made by the studio GRIND? It got canceled by square because of qaulity resons and left the company bankrupt and was forced to shut down. You can still see some early footage on youtube called Final Fantasy Fortress. I also remember GRIND sayingthe game wasgoing to be on a epic scale. Heres hoping for a remake on the PS3! (As soon as I heard bout FF10 HD i stopped playig FF12 because Im almost positive they will remake it for the PS3.)

  • uhh sony why do xbox have better demos they still have skate 2 and 3 an stranglehold how come we dont i remember when we had resident evil 5 what happened ?

  • XIII-2 and Asura’s Wrath demo same day =O oh boy!

  • This probably isn’t the best place for this: But Sony can you please beg Rockstar in releasing a Max Payne HD collection on PS3?

  • These’s games are needed for PS1 & PS2 Classics. They were the best games ever on PS1 & PS2. I mark them 1-5 to show which is truly the best one of them all. I know all won’t share the same sense like i do but to me they were the best one’s to me.

5 – Final Fantasy 7 Dirge of Cerberus
2 – Final Fantasy X + International version mix in as well

4 – Final Fantasy XII International version mix in as well
3 – Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
    3 – Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
2 – Kingdom Hearts RE Chain of Memories
