What product purchases? Games that cost the same as if you bought them from the store? Or DLC that you would have to pay for anyway? No matter how you dice it, those purchases are not necessary to use online features.

Oops almost forgot you mentioned a college and working towards your 2nd Lt ranking. You really should’ve thought twice about posting that publicly. Cause those things can be verified and in the unlikely event if true what your doing will certainly lead to your expulstion among other penalties. In the more likely event of it being a lie, impersonating military personnell is a criminal offense. All it takes is a few minutes of digging in the right places and 1 call to the right person and you’ll find yourself in a world of hot water like you never imagined. You see this nations military spends more than a fair effort keeping military hardware out of the hands of screaming fanatics like yourself. With very good cause I might add.

People are already paying for PSN through product purchases and the egregious online passes, and no those are *NOT FREE*. More to the point sony has always advertised so called “free” psn as one of its few marketing advantages despite its poor performance. but as you so boldly rant and scream sony will not improve PSN 1 iota if they started charging for it. Fact is the money would dissapear to cover sonys massive losses, in excess of $2 billion this past year, the fourth straight year of losses.

Third, you don’t answer my questions because you want PSN for free and want great awesome service and non glitchy things and all the support you can desire. Now back to reality, IT COSTS MONEY!!! Why doesn’t COX or Verizon have their services for free and keep up good service? Because quality things don’t happen for free. I love PS and I really dont play my Xbox. How much do you want for FREE? Beggars cant be choosers especially when you re not paying for anything.

Fourth, I am 21. No I am not old and gray but I am over 18. I am a junior at RIC and will be graduating and becoming a a 2LT next year, so I am working towards something.
