  • Thanks Christopher.

Loving the Video Unlimited service and have rented many movies already.

Now that Canada has Music Unlimited, I’ve been listening pretty much each day to this and really appreciate the work Sony has done to bring this service to our country !

  • I want to watch Real Steel and Transformers for .99!! Is this going to be on the video section of the playstation store or is the “Video Unlimited” something I have to install as netflix or vudu??

    • Christopher Lastrapes

jncasanova, you can find the 99₵ rental in the video section of the PlayStation Store on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable as well now through Sunday!

  • Why do the music unlimited premium channels play all songs in the same order? Is there no way to shuffle?

  • Okay, so I bought a movie from the PSN on Media Go and I’ve even isolated those two files that make up that video. Is there any way I can move that onto my Vita? There ain’t no download list to redownload videos.

  • @2 – jncasanova – Video Unlimited is pretty much the same as what’s in the store.

@3 – forzanerazzurri – I have the Premium service as well and there’s a Shuffle option on mine…most likely it’s
there on yours too, but you may have to search for it.

@4 -triple_lei – Media Go isn’t being used for the Vita…you can purchase movies via the store on the Vita and it
    download onto the Vita.

    Hope that helps.

  • I’m in the middle of my free month of music unlimited and overall i’m diggin it but before i start shelling out 10 bucks a month i’d love to know if it’s just me or is the music sync function completly gimped up? It takes forever to add tracks, i’m estimating it’ll take about 2 weeks to sync my music…lol. My pc also goes into a kinda frozen state where i can’t do a damn thing until i stop the music sync program from running and then things operate as normal. Is anyone else having problems with this feature cause i have a hard time justifying spending money on this if its just not working properly.

  • Well, it’s a great news that’s it’s finally arrived in Canada.
That will give me some fuel to sell the Vita.
I’m sure a ton of girls will be getting this service.

@Dyoxen: I sync my songs via my ps3 and syncs immediately after I log in on my Vita.
Maybe it has something to do with your own pc… maybe, mines work really great.

  • No, Media Go isn’t used for the Vita, and that’s exactly the issue, GGCAN. I’m talking about all the movies I purchased prior to the Vita. What am I gonna do, buy the movies again? I do have a workaround but it’s just gonna result in a lower-quality (but DRM-free) version of a movie I already bought.

  • @8 – triple_lei.

The Vita can only download SD as far as I’m aware.

I’ve gone to the Video section of the store on my Vita and the only option is SD….no HD is available.

I know I downloaded an HD movie via the PS3 and when I connected my Vita to my PS3, it doesn’t see the video; apparently, as it is HD….

I guess if I download SD…it would show up, but normally I download via the PS3, as I’d rather watch the movie in HD and on my bigger screen tv.

@Dyoxen, like CommandingTiger, my songs sync immediately via the PS3 or even on my PC doing a sync.

  • THANK YOU SONY!!! So happy that Music Unlimited is finally in Canada (and I love it by the way!!!) now I can stop complaining in every post you make about the service haha!!! <3

  • GGCAN, Media Go only displays stuff from the PS Store that can be played on a PSP, and in this case, it also means only SD videos from the video store. Technically, there should be no reason why the Vita wouldn’t be able to play my SD movie, except I can’t even get it on the Vita.

If my original PS3 worked, I’m pretty sure I’d be able to copy my movie from Media Go to a PSP, then from the PSP to the PS3, and then from the PS3 to the Vita. Alas, I’m gonna have to pay $150 or so to get it repaired to deactivate video content (though I was gonna do that anyway to get my old saves…). And I can’t activate the PS3 I’m using now for video content because you can only have one console activated at a time for video content.

I even tried downloading a trailer straight from the Vita and backing that up with Content Manager Assistant to try to figure out the DRM, but nothing I tried worked.

Welp, thanks for replying anyway… have a good weekend ~

  • VUThe only thing I’m asking for is an iPhone app of Music/Video Unlimited. As I mainly play games on my PS3/PSV, I don’t really need the Music/Video Unlimited there as much as say in transit. If Music Unlimited showed up on the app store I know I’d subscribe and maybe other would as well.

  • @3 – forzanerazzurri.

Have to admit, I think I was wrong on the Search in the Premium channels being available.

It’s only in your own library.

But, you could select the songs onto your playlist or library and then do a shuffle…bit of a way around the problem, but it would work.

I don’t mind not being able to shuffle the Premium channels as they seem pretty much shuffled already.

  • Thanks very much for offering Music Unlimited in Canada. I love it :)
