Qore in April: Sorcery, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Prototype 2

This month’s episode features one of the most anticipated PlayStation Move titles, previews of two popular sequels, and a retrospective look at the series.

Qore in April: Sorcery, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Prototype 2

Jesse Blaze Snider wields a wand (aided by the Move controller) in Sorcery. As a young wizard’s apprentice, players easily learn how the wand enables magical game play in a mystical world. Summon fire, ice and magical bolt spells to take down huge ice trolls and evil monsters in this comprehensive preview!

Looks like the next step in modern warfare game play is coming from Ubisoft’s latest installment of the popular futuristic shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The Qore preview ‘de-cloaks’ the very cool stealth technology and almost infinite combinations of weapons that players can assemble.

Superpower shapeshifting is back with Prototype 2. With a new protagonist wielding some crazy powerful tendrils, this preview flies through the awesome powers available in the open world setting of a quarantined Manhattan.

Qore Arqade

This episode also features a retrospective look back at Qore’s nearly four years on PlayStation Network. As the first interactive digital magazine on a game console, Qore provided an innovative mix of quality HD video and interactive content covering over 160 new games. With this April episode, Qore concludes its run on the PlayStation Network. As a send off, the Qore team built one final DLC package: the Qore Ultimate Arcade features a compilation of 11 mini games offered throughout the series. Our thanks to all involved in the creation and production of Qore and to the many fans who regularly watched each month.

  • How about slowly migrating The Official Playstation Magazine to digital to be purchased on PSN/iTunes/Amazon for viewing on PS3/VITA/Computer/Tablet/Phone?

Print is going away, I work in the magazine industry and if your not moving your publications to digital your magazine is going to die a slow horrible death. I currently have a subscription to the print magazine for Playstation but that was due to a very nice deal a few years ago for a years subscription for $4 a year, so I signed up for about 3 years worth, it should run out sometime this year. I have no plans on renewing as anything in print is usually outdated and/or wrong after further information is released.

This digital magazine can also be used to push/advertise other sony services and products like tablets, speakers etc with direct links to retail partners for purchasing.

  • @Gas0linE

“What is it now 6 years later and still no cross game chat. ROFL! Xbox live FTW”

You realize you just wasted $300 over those 6 years to say ” I have cross game chat!” , to add cool advertisements on your dash, and to just play your games online at all. ROFL!

Never seen someone so proud to be so gullible.

  • Nnnnoooooo! say it isn’t so . At least get to episode 50 I mean i didn’t like when veronica belmont left. but i thought the show would keep pressing forward with the new host. Qore was a huge focus point of the PS Plus subscription.

It’s extremely sad to see it come to an end. :’-(

  • I can’t say I’m surprised by this being the last episode. I’ll definitely be downloading due to the sparse details on Sorcery, but otherwise I am left with little reason to care about Qore other than the once in a blue moon episode of interest. Some body dropped the ball on Qore which could have been something great and ultimately landed it as a weak experiment. Changing out the cast (whether by choice or by green pastures) certainly didn’t help things. The new guy simply annoys me while veronica…. well she was tolerable…. similar sentiments for the remain cast here not mentioned.

Perhaps the internet age made it impossible to uphold such a subscription based service. Perhaps in the future a more integrated into the OS and news media friendly tools system to get more content up faster with no cost to the consumer would be worth sony’s time and help resurrect qore. Not all things need to be a video after all.

  • Why is Qore being cancelled?

  • So cutting out a $29.99 value out of a $50 PS+ package with no replacement? I’m definitely going to have to reconsider my ongoing subscription. Cut back on your money losing businesses (i.e. lcd panel manufacturing) and leave your premium paid services alone.

  • Is something replacing qore, or are we just losing a perk to our PlayStation Plus program?

  • So what happened? Why was qore canceled? I really liked the inside looks in games and interviews.

  • Oh My goodness, will anything replace it? You know the PSN UK Series ‘Playstation Access” is a great format. They do developer interviews, gaming news, coverage of community playstation events and so forth on a weekly basis with a real sharp sense of humor to go along with it. I really enjoy watching that on the Playstation UK Youtube account. Hope something like this takes its place at least

  • If you’re going to remove a $30 value from the Plus Membership subscription, please throw in a free subscription to the official PS Magazine as the replacement incentive for joining Plus. I’ve submitted that to your Share Blog multiple times but it never even passes moderation.

  • good

  • Meh. I’ll keep watching Christina Lee on Pulse for all of my video game ads I care about and gametrailersTV on spike for the longer form stories about games I have little interest in. Wonder where we’ll see Veronica next though – she was an engaging host – the program model just didn’t seem relevant.

  • Sad to see Qore go, will be missed! Just a quick question while I am here… Will there be anymore full PS3 games coming to the store? I would love to see Ridge Racer Unbounded and both Silent Hill and Devil May Cry HD Collections! Thanks for answering my question in advance!!!!!! Now you have to answer me lol…. or not…
