PlayStation Around The Web: What We Read

As the temperature is rising (at least here in the Bay Area), so too rises the intensity of gaming news coming out. You no doubt saw the reveal of God of War: Ascension on Thursday. Well, you won’t have to wait too much longer to see more of Kratos. We’ll be in LA this week to see Ascension in action, as well as LittleBigPlanet Karting. So if you have any questions or direction on what you’d like to find out of these games, please let me know. And mark your calendars for April 30th at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern, as we’ll be holding a live stream of God of War: Ascension, answering your questions through the power of the internet.

  • hey is there any word on the Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock game come on this week coming up is the last week of april and no news yet on the game come on sony just let us know pretty please!!!

  • any news on remote play

  • I need FIFA soccer help!

whenever I start my career mode it tells me to “skip match” each time. My “coach” sent me a message saying he’ll “play me soon” and I’m not the right level. What do I do? I’m new to this game

  • Those are some cool vita cases.

  • “Ni No Kuni Could Get A Sequel – PlayStation 3 News at IGN”

I would just like to play Ni No Kuni first! That game looks beautiful.

I’m really looking forward to PS Suite being available on the Vita and other devices and seeing what devs come up with. This is a pretty big door that Sony has opened up here.

Some pretty good news and articles up there. Looking forward to this year in PS. The new Vita apps, games, new PS3 games being revealed, bonuses for some games, etc. Including move games (like in this article)

I already submitted some questions about Ascension, hope one gets asked in the Q & A this week. Also looking forward to seeing what game is revealed on Thursday. Could it be the PS brawler? *hopes so*

It’s another great year for the PS brand and another big year for gamers.

  • That $50 PS3 price drop(Joystiq article)? Can’t SONY just drop the price of the PS3 to $199 in the US now? The time is right! :P

  • i have three questions..is nba 2k12 gonna b on psn for download?..when?.. and is kingdom hearts gonna come to ps3 or vita?..please i would like to know

    • That’s up to 2K. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen, but I don’t have a date. As for a new Kingdom Hearts – wouldn’t we all like to know? Square Enix is the company to ask.

  • @6 I have a feeling a drop is coming sometime this year. A lot of retailers have been doing price cuts recently and more often than not when that happens, either a new model of the PS3 gets released or there is an official price drop later in the year.

@7 I doubt they can answer anything about Square-Enix since SE have not announced anything like that yet. One can dream though.

  • Is Gravity Rush going to be for PS3 too? Quite sad to see another go the portables.

  • You say you will be in LA…where in LA or is that not meant to be known? I only ask because I would love to come see the live stream in person if possible as I live in LA.

    • We’ll be livestreaming from Santa Monica Studio, but there’s not going to be a live audience. I’d probably get nervous!

  • when will armored core v price drop

  • Is MGSPW coming the vita through the PSN. i dot have a ps3

    • I haven’t seen the next list of PSP titles to get pushed through for Vita, but since you can download on PS3 and transfer it over to Vita, that seems a safe bet.

  • don’t*

  • In unrelated Kevin Butler news, he’s currently in a Bridgestone tire commercial. The guy that took going green too seriously. Watch for him.

Guess since Sony isn’t using him, the guy’s still gotta eat…

  • the video interview with dylan jobe was cool.

  • Is it true that killzone 3 will not get remote play and what sony showed at TGS was just a tech demo

  • I just read the article •CCP Teases Vita Controller Support for DUST 514 – Push Square, and it sounds to me like Sony has a plan to reveal the remote play feature along with cross play gaming features in june at E3 so they can compete with Nintendo’s Wii-U, is this the plan? or can you comment at all about it? If this is true, this would explain all of the network maintenance, as well as why we haven’t had a firmware update with remote play, etc since launch. Just a thought. In a way it’s brilliant, but frustrating that we’d have to wait until june though.

  • The Kevin Butler downloadable content to correspond with the Preorder of LittleBigPlanet Karting is really cool… BUT how about delivering on a FIRM release date for the current preorder LittleBigPlanet title before taking preorders for the next!?!

When is LittleBigPlanet Vita coming out? What is the release date? How can you sell preorders for 3 months with no FIRM release date? How can you heavily market a new system (PS Vita) with a title (LittleBigPlanet Vita) without providing the goods?!? Where is LittleBigPlanet Vita and when is it coming out? This is getting a little ridiculous.

This is like selling the coolest new car and all the commercials show a sweet set of 19″ wheels with awesome low profile tires, and after you buy the car you find out that the tires and wheels pictured with the car are not available at this time… AND THAT THERE IS NO FIRM release date for them either. BUT we do have the next set of awesome wheels and tires that you can put a deposit down on, EVEN THOUGH we have still not delivered on the first set yet.

    What gives?!?
