Today marks a special day for us here at SuperBot Entertainment, as we finally get to share our game with the world! PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale existed as an idea in the hearts of gamers way before SuperBot got around to making it, and the expectations of the fans are really what drive us. This game is a labor of love, and we’re excited to be able to finally show it — learn more in our new video interview above.
So what is PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale? First and foremost, it’s a celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game. And for us, there’s no better way to celebrate than by creating an experience that players can sit around one screen and enjoy together. There are probably a few types of games that can be enjoyed by four players simultaneously, but for us at SuperBot, a brawler was the obvious choice for one really good reason: the developers here at SuperBot really like fighting games. We love playing them and we love making them. With PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, we set out to make an experience accessible enough for all PlayStation fans to enjoy while also creating something deep enough for the serious fighting game aficionado. We think this “accessible yet deep” strategy is the perfect way to bring PlayStation fans of all stripes together.
The game features a number of cool game modes for both single and multiplayer, with a focus on online play which features a robust tournament mode. Players will be able to compete against each other as well as play cooperatively. We can’t wait for you all to try it for yourself.

On the official website, does the orb with the “35 days left” mark when the next character will be revealed? I’ll never last that long. ;_;
And I’m hoping for multiple modes besides “Battle Royale,” like Teams, Capture the Flag (Or something similar), et cetera. I’d also like to see the following stages: Castle Oblivion, Uncharted 2 Temple, Crash Bandicoot area, Ruined city from inFAMOUS, Cartoonish Paris from Sly Cooper. Not really sure about the clashing areas, though, I’d just like to see these as some bases!
Oh, almost forgot! I hope that with the Right Analog Stick, we can use it to through anything we are grabbing, such as players, items, et cetera. Being able to throw other players around certainly feels brawl-ish, but it shouldn’t be “Parrapa charges Colonel Radec, he throws Parrapa into the pit of lava on the other side of the map!” Being able to throw people short distances could greatly help, but in this case it should be required to be holding on with R1 in order to throw things. As for L2, maybe have it as some way to consume items…? It would just feel weird if it doesn’t do anything.
And I completely forgot about Rayman, who should also definitely be added in.
You know, now that I think about it, maybe add a Digimon in the game?
My reasoning is because Digimon had all these old games on the PlayStation 1 and PS2. Most commonly, the Digimon World series, but also Digimon Rumble Arena and a few others. The Smash Bros have Pokémon, so why not have the Digimon?
In terms of who exactly, I suggest either Agumon (the newer one with the red arm straps), Veemon, Guilmon, or Kumamon/Bearmon.
I really think the last one because he was the main Digimon in Digimon World 3. He’ll be more close range.
If any of the other 3, perhaps give them their weapons from Digimon World 4 along with some of the spells from the same game? And of course, Agumon and Guilmon shoot fireballs, and Veemon has his headbutt and arm swing attacks.
Again, just a thought.

I would love to see Starkiller from Star Wars Force Unleashed in this game he would be epic, dual lightsabers, force attacks etc. :D (Although it is highly unlikely)
I only want two things Lara Croft and Lammy. If they were in I’d pre order right away!
I just found out Spike was in Ape Escape 2 as a secret character. I hope you guys make him have that look in game. I’d love to see him fly around with the Sky Flyer and beating up people with his Stun Club and Time Net :D

It would be nice if they will put the Playstation 1 versions of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, they are some of the most memorable characters in Playstation history in my opinion. I would also like a character like Spike or the monkeys from Ape Escape to be playable. Ratchet, Clank, Jak, and Daxter is also a must for playable characters. Cole MacGrath from Infamous will be good. Nathan Drake and Sackboy (being one of the most iconic characters for the PS3 era). Also the Playstation mascots like Toro (Japan’s Mascot) and Kevin Butler would be cool. And of course THE GIANT ENEMY CRAB FOR THE LOLS
Oh and maybe some Final Fantasy characters and Sora from Kingdom Hearts
There are a few characters that would blow my mind if they were in there. He’s obviously been mentioned a lot, but Sora would be one of them. Kat from the yet to be released Gravity Daze/Rush would be a really smart addition. And who wouldn’t want to see Nariko’s Heavenly Sword go against the Blades of Chaos. In terms of more old school, Klonoa would be a big surprise as would Alucard. And I may have to cry for days out of sheer joy if the Sands of Time prince was in there with a few time bending supers.
Stages I would love to see would be LocoRoco, Journey, Flower, Super Stardust, and a PixelJunk stage.
Lastly, I think it would be epic if the Sackboy character can have costumes from every character in the game. Similar to Kirby, he would adopt one or two of the special moves from the characters he steals from with his pop-it ability.

As for Journey, I’d love to see that as the base for a stage, as long as it retains its fantastic theme and appearance. For the arenas in general, I’d like to see every one focused on and made unique, so every single one is just as fun as the others, yet a unique experience.
As for Digimon, I’d be fine with their inclusion, but then people would say that it’s copying SSB’s inclusion of pokemon.
Also, Leo from the White Knight Chronicles would be nice. I just got the second one, and the series is supposed to be PS Exclusive, so he could be a nice bonus.
And let’s add Ari and Stan from Okage: Shadow King!! :D

Hey guys, this game looks great already. I love the concept of it, but the character that needs to be added is Crash Bandicoot, I mean if your celebrating the history of Sony, this guy was the face of Sony in the PlayStation era, and if you can bring him back as his classic version and not as the tattooed one. If he is in this game I would buy it for any price as he is my favorite game character of all time. This game looks great and I hope you can put Crash in, that would put it over the top, I’m sure you guys are working hard and I appreciate it.

Everything looks really good I’m impressed. However I don’t like the fact that the only way to ko a character is buy using a super move. Also you guys should have a game mode based on an amount of lives like brawl

Not all the characters on the roster need to be popular, but I honestly believe these characters would fit right in with this game so please look at:

Oh….and please include the option to play custom soundtracks or music from the XMB. So many fighting games have been forgetting about that feature recently.
The last fighters I’ve gotten that included that feature was SSFIV and Tekken 6. It sucked when I switched over to Mortal Kombat and UMvC3 just to find out I would have to play to whatever BGMs the devs put in the game because the custom soundtrack feature had been omitted.
Remember you guys have JRPGs! Legend of Dragoon, Dark Cloud, Wild Arms and Arc the Lad all owned by you guys. We better see representation of them all in here.

1-Mini games (the mini gamws make the game live longer & more fun )
2-co-op online Championship ( that open 2 days in Week) such as MGO(Metal gear online)
3-ps vita version
4-more character = more players :)
5-connect the ps3 version with the ps vita version
6-create your own character & your own levels would be nice..
7-A thank for you guys & for you omar for this game ( & thank you Sony for make the online free with No Fee you care about the hardcore players)

The guest characters i want to see are Ezio Auditore (AC) and Sonic The Hedgehog.
Just an idea for a stage would be Florence from AC and Venice Rooftops would be its music. Then half-way through, Florence gets flooded and Perfect Chaos rises and attacks the stage. The music would change to Open Your Heart. Just an idea.
I’m looking forward to this game, I sort of wished this game would be made and now it’s happening.

YES! I have wanted it since I was 10. Finally! I grew up with the Playstation and it has been part of my life ever since I can remember.
Here are the Characters I want.
Cloud, from Final Fantasy VII. No Advent Children crap just the original from the game. (I know Sony doesn’t own rights to Final Fantasy and the stupid pricks at Square Enix do. But seeing as how this game took off in sales as soon as it hit the market on the PS1, I don’t think they should have an issue with it.)
Crash Bandicoot, the original from 1-3, not the new titans one. (Same issue here. These were, if not, my favorite games on the PS1, aside from Final Fantasy. He actually was the First mascot in your company. So I don’t see why a character like that in your game. If he isn’t on it, there is no way I am buying this game.)
Sora, from Kingdom Hearts II. ( Same thing as Final Fantasy.)
Rayman, he shouldn’t be a problem.
