  • Really want to hear something on LBP for the Vita. Are we gonna be hearing a release date soon?

  • Steven hopefully you guys dont make the same mistake San Diego Studios did and release Little Big Planet vita with 4 players online multiplayer ( i mean the way LBP is meant to be play online)

  • @remanutd5,

What!? That post doesn’t make any sense.

  • i just want 4 players online multiplayer thats all lol

  • Please just answer our LBP Vita questions, this is getting ridiculous. It doesn’t even feel like the game is coming out anymore after being left in the dark for so long.

  • @3 he meant that he hopes it’s not like LBP PSP, and wants online multiplayer.

  • Eager to hear more about this game. Played the demo at the Vita Social Club in NYC & it was fun; it’s just like the console version but the screen is small yet with very, very sharp graphics.

Any word on a special edition, Steven/Simon?

  • at 6 yes thats one of the reasons the other is San Diego Studios releasing ModNation Racers Road Trip without online multiplayer play i just wish more vita games have infrastructure online play

  • How about putting some of those overpriced DLC costumes up for sale, eh?

How about making a fairly priced LBP GOTY DLC Bundle with all those DLC items you gave away for free to all the people that waited over a year to buy Little Big Planet?

  • It’s insane that we haven’t gotten a release date on LittleBigPlanet Vita yet. Sony shipped the consoles with a teaser flier that said LBP was coming in April 2012, which clearly ends today.

The longer we go from that date shows us that Sony had a (somewhat public) target to release the game by now and failed to meet that target and causes consumers to lose faith in the game. Just give us SOMETHING, even if it’s not a rock solid date let fans know what’s going on…

  • Can’t wait for this game it’s going 2 be awesome

  • Played the last Japan’s hubs levels and they were all good, looking forward to this months.

On a side note, I heard the LBP2 theme song while out to dinner at TGIFridays. Which made me think it isn’t only a theme song, but it was still weird hearing it in a restaurant. Found out it’s Passion Pits – Sleepyhead, who knew?

  • @5: Yeah, because adding a new community manager soley for the LBP Vita game isn’t a sign that things are moving forward at all. That clearly shows that LBP Vita isn’t coming out. *eye roll*

    Lawdy.

@10: They’ll say more, when they have more to say. The fact you’re complaining about the insert date is evidence as to why they shouldn’t just mindless throw around statements. Then people cling onto them and when something doesn’t match up, even if it’s in their own mind, then it’s a disaster. “WRY U LIE” “YOU SAID SOON, IT’S BEEN FIVE MINUTES!” etc.

Just wait. I love LBP as much as the next guy, maybe even more, but I’m patiently waiting and know it will be awesome and worth the wait.

    • Believe me, our new LittleBigPlanet Vita Community Coordinator is just about ready to burst with all the awesome news that he wants to tell everyone!

Hopefully he should have some news very soon!

  • @12: I’m fine with waiting, and I completely agree they they shouldn’t mindlessly throw around dates. However, they’ve already done that and now they’ve missed the date they “threw around.” In my opinion, it would be better for them to come out and say that the date has been pushed out to Q3, Q4, etc so that fans have an idea of when they’ll be able to get it…especially since some retailers are showing specific dates (June 26 @ GameStop for example) while others are just saying 12/31/12 (i.e. Amazon).

Also, SCEA pushed it as a launch window title to help sales of the console (think Taco Bell promotion and original launch day/launch window game lineup published on this blog). So why come to their defense now, Elvick_? Sony was happy to promise LittleBigPlanet to you (and all of us) within a month or so of the system’s launch (i.e. “launch window”) when it meant moving the initial batch of consoles off of shelves, but now there’s nothing to be seen of the game? It doesn’t sit well with me, that’s all…

  • @12 what are you talking about? I said it FEELS like the game isn’t coming out. Hiring a community manager isn’t the same as telling us some news on how the game is going. No need to have an attitude.

  • YAY Mariachi!!! I am excited for that. Steven, the weekly community push is awesome. I really appreciate having new stuff to play…when I have time…

As for the Vita, it will come. Remember that a good game is only delayed till is comes out. But a bad game is bad…forever. Cook it until it needs to be cooked. Though the Vita does need some more heavy hitters.

    • Not only do we have the weekly Mm Picks now but we also regularly feature Fansite Community Picks in the in-game news, so be sure to keep an eye out for those too!

  • I want the official Month of the LittleBigPlanet on Vita at least! Gosh, I don’t like waiting! You guys keep saying, “oh hey guys, its in the upcoming months,” or something! But whatever. I’m just glad to see its actually coming. =)

    Can’t wait!

  • LBP for the vita is an important title. It shouldn’t be rushed, otherwise, you’ll wind up with a MNR:RT, a game chock full of technical problems and bizarre omissions. MNR:RT could’ve, should’ve been a blockbuster title. That game should’ve been pulled until it was ready for primetime instead of being rushed to launch with predictable results.

So, enough with the whining. LBP for the vita will be ready when its ready. The developers don’t have to keep you informed every step of the way. The game will undoubtedly be at E3 and a lot of info will be revealed there. If not, then you can worry.

  • cool, how about making that gow costume for freeeeeee!
