Media Goes Hands-On with LittleBigPlanet Karting

Our media friends recently got to have a hands-on play of LittleBigPlanet Karting. Check out this video to see what IGN has to say about Sackboy’s leap into the racing arena!

At the same event, GameTrailers.com interviewed William Ho, United Front Game’s Design Director for LittleBigPlanet Karting — as well as showcase some new gameplay from LittleBigPlanet Karting!

Take a look at just what was said about the LittleBigPlanet Karting experience!

Mm Picks

This week we see Sackboy being given superpowers as Agent 11.7 in PLCC3: Intro – Debriefing, before unleashing his dark side thanks to a magic formula in Another strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

We see him return to some classic platforming action in Tileboard Trickery and if you’re looking to relax, you can play a nice game of Spot the Difference or take a moment to listen to Comishguy67’s Original Music Gallery containing over 40 songs!

Best of all, comishguy67 is sharing his music with the rest of the community to use in their own levels! So if you’re a fan of great music, be sure to head to his level and collect those Prize Bubbles!

Why didn’t you guys just make this instead of Modnation Racers?

You could have been releasing a sequel now, but all in all its just MNR2 with LBP pasted over it.

This game looks like a lot of fun but i MNR looked a lot better. It looked like a little more mature kart racing game. MNR was cool ..LBP is just TOO CUTE :/ If MNR was to have other modes besides racing like battle or something else besides JUST RACING and alot faster loading speeds ..it would’ve bin a HUGE KART RACING HIT..and i was kinda hoping they would make a part 2 and implement all these ideas and features.. but i guess like #2 said…this is a MNR2 with LBP pasted all over it lol with a KARTING under it :p – cant to play it though it would bring alot of MARIO KART memories back :)

Still no news on LBP for the Vita?! JUST SAY THAT YOU ARE STILL MAKING IT. Good God Media Molecule is terrible with release dates. Make another game and you might just have a worst reputation for release than valve.

Untill i can get a taste of the LBPKR create mode and what we can do with it. Im not really to happy with it. It’s a nice step in a right way. But unless there is a create mode where we can have sackboy get out of kart and run around in both 3rd and 1st person veiw. Also still not enough info on the kart customizing? preset kart parts are nice, but what if we want to build are own gokart body? wheels and basic kart frame is ok, but need to build our on kart body then mount it to frame. And blasted sony Ive payed for playstation plus service where is LBPV and LBPKR betas for Plus members. Starhawk ghostrecon and stuff are nice but not everyone wants FPS beta(cough demos) When will yall start doing beta access for games based on the consumers intrest rather than random BS. Still though a indepth look at the create mode is really only thing that will sell me on this.

LBP Vita is supposed to be out in late June…but the lack of marketing and updates is not looking like we’ll see it any time soon.

@9 Media Molecule aren’t the main developer. I have heard June/July, so I can hope!

+ The5rozos on May 7th, 2012 at 2:31 pm said:

@11 June is just a placeholder date that Gamestop has, so you’re probably right about not seeing it anytime soon. I’m okay with that since we’re going to get Gravity Rush soon. I just wish LBP wasn’t on the PS Vita boxing, advertisements, etc. It made me excited. My fault though for being impatient and getting a Vita wanting the game right away.

Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait until E3 for some more news!
