UPDATE: See the new PlayStation Plus games for March 12th, 2013 here

The month of May brings some of my favorite times of the year. It gives me a chance to step back and look at the gigantic list of PS3 and PSN games that I want to dedicate time to before the end-of-year holiday onslaught. Even better, it’s a perfect time to pick up digital titles that I never had time to play earlier. All this plays perfectly into me saying that Ubisoft is having a huge promotion on our PlayStation Network catalog.

Already have BG&E and Outland (both pretty, and both woefully underplayed by me) from their debut, and Scoott Peelgreem (o hai, sYtHe20) from…sometime, but I went through a recent snafu regarding Ass. Creed II, where the Bundle from December didn’t show Deluxe Edition as owned. Long story short, I got refunded. However, with this sale (and my Plus status), buying Deluxe Edition and re-buying Sequence 13 comes up eight cents less than what I paid before, with complete ability to download and rate the game straight from the Storefront. Huzzah!

May also pick up Clash of Heroes, on recommendation from my friend. Something about bears and turning units into walls. Otherwise, that Brotherhood bundle looks nice, but since I still have to go through AC2 and have Bro. Hood on disc from a friend, I’ll likely hold off ’til the next sale (and that bundle better still be around, y’hear?).

Always was interested in playing Assassin’s Creed but didn’t want to spend 20 on it. Can’t pass up a 10 dollar deal.

So l’m a little concerned about POP trilogy…..

I have heard lots of reports since its release about the constant freezing, especially in the Sands of Time. It seems that many of the issues happens to those that are still using the phat PS3. Since I am still an owner of a Phat 40gig, (now with a 320gig HDD) I want to get some facts before I buy this game and realize I can’t play it….

Any experiences? ?

I have a slim 120GB, and it freezes everytime.

I have a slim, and have owned Sands of Time since it came out on the PSN and I’ve never encountered a freeze. I do regularly restore the file system from safe mode, which cleans up any corrupt data that’s made its way on the HDD by virtue of power outages during HDD indicator light saving data, or inconsistent internet during a download. That usually helps to prevent, or cure a freezing system, so maybe that’s why I’ve been fortunate.

@55 – Did not know about Safe Mode. Could have saved a lot of time when I was handling my friend’s old PS3. In the end, I think a full wipe was good, but this’ll be great for future reference!
