  • I got a question, will the save data from the digital version of all 4 one work on the disc version and also for arkham city and the gow origins collections from the free trails?

  • A really late update indeed but with Red Johnson’s Chronicles finally going down to a decent price, I can live with it. Now I’m just waiting for Plants Vs. Zombies (PS3) to go on Sale or come down to a decent price, like $7.49. For now I think I’m going to just pick up Red Johnson’s Chronicles and Sonic Adventure with the DX Add- on In the future Sony if your running really late on the update like past 6pm pst, throw up a quick blog post or make a comment in the previous post letting people know what’s going on. You guys really have to work on the communication aspect of your job. Thankfully your not a communications provider because if you were, well you wouldn’t have a leg to stand on with the lack of communication and transparency when problems arise.

  • @43
can you tell me were you read that because ive been keeping up to date with the doctor who game and have not read that. it always said “coming june 13”.

    @41
    so maybe tommorow. hopefully

  • wheres doctor who for the vita? it was supposed to be out today!

  • Escape Plan demo just keeps giving an error code (C2-12828-1), what’s the deal?

  • Anybody who’s interested in FPS; consider Payday. Read some reviews, watch some vids on it. It’s a fantastic game, IMO!

  • gungnir is not vita compatible… will not work via ps3 either

    • Our teams are working to get Gungir compatible with PS Vita as soon as possible. However, I don’t have an estimate time that this will be completed. But thank you to those who brought this up in the comments. Both Atlus and SCEA are aware.

  • Hi Everyone –
The excitement of E3 has come and gone, but the fun of gaming provided by PlayStation Store continues on!

Hi, back, Grace and thanks for putting us all in a really great mood with yet another one of your patented, is it Tuesday already updates, I better get on this before it turns Wednesday routines.

  • If a company is based on the west coast, then that is the time they usually go by. As usual, the east coast people think everything revolves around them.

  • @53, not for me. Try powering down the Vita & then redownloading it.

  • and when are we getting wakeup club? i could actually use that app, unlike the series of mediocre, inconvenient-to-play AR card games. they should just throw all the AR card games up at once as the proof-of-concept games they are instead of slowly spacing them out to make it look like there’s actually a consistent release schedule of new vita software.

  • escape plan demo can’t install for me anyone else having the problem

  • @58
Regardless of what coast your on the update is still about 4 hours late based on GCT™
I don’t see your point and I can’t believe all you people defending Sony. It’s one thing if this was a rare thing but it’s not. It’s been going on since the inception of PSN. You people are the reason Sony is getting fat and lazy. I miss the Sony from the PS1/PS2 era.

  • DAMN NOTHING MAKES YOU PEOPLE HAPPY ALL YOU DO IS CRY ABOUT EVERY THING!!!!!

  • Mushroom Wars should be free to all users next week because you seem to treat us all like mushrooms when it comes to Tuesday updates.

Also I hope Playstation Plus isnt going to be great one week, and anemic for the next 3 weeks- or longer SMH.
The content this week is pitiful after E3.

“Games that made waves in E3 2009”?? C’mon guys. How about last years instead? 2009…

  • Still no walking dead episode 2….

  • @49 Yes all your disc based saves will work no matter where they were (progression) in the games with the trials. Same format, sfo, params etc etc etc.

  • I’m just wondering for the people who are for these “late” update, i must ask do you have a job, and if so when you do your work can you just turn it in when ever you please? Its not about having patience, its the principal of the matter, tell me what job doesnt have work in which you need things done/finish at a certain time? Heck the other gaming companies have set deadlines, so why cant Sony? And yes while granted the other PSN update were pretty early it should be making it that way not something like ok since X-amount of weeks had an early update we will make this out at the end of the day.

All im saying is people who are for these late update obviously never done any work in their life or they’d know when something needs to be done/updated it needs to be done in a timely manner. Can delays happen? Yes, but this is pretty common on the Sony part. If it happens more than once a month i think its a serious problem and in any other work place said person/people would be fired, Not saying you guys should be, but just saying these frequent late update needs to stop because it only shows us that you guys wait till the last minute to get everything done.

  • “An error has occurred in the following application.”
    (C2-12828-1)
    tm
    “Escape Plan Demo”

This is exactly what it says. Please, look into it Sony. I really, really want this demo.

  • The SDF needs a new schtick, honestly. I purchase a lot of content for the vita, games, movies to own, movies to rent, a music unlimited subscription, but the little sony fanbots think that I and others shouldn’t complain when the store is run like total ass. All we get are a bunch of lame excuses from blog staff who rarely ever respond to begin with.

I get the feeling these guys sit back in their offices and just laugh at what’s going on like its a big joke. it’s a very west coast thing. On the east coast, Grace and company would’ve been pink slipped ages ago. The total lack of communication, the total lack of respect shown to gamers and publishers alike is, as the brits put it, gobsmacking. its like your business and money are completely unimportant. Well, if that’s the case, maybe i should take my business and money to a rival company. Would that make sony happy?

Sony is in major financial difficulties and this is how they treat paying loyal customers. You got money to spend, oh, wait, we haven’t finished our coffees yet. Just hang on for a few hours. Unbelievable.

  • Is Sony going to resolve the issue with Gungnir not being compatible with the Vita? I’m sure that many people would prefer to play on that platform. Thanks.

  • Wow, one late update and people want to say the dumbest things,

  • Hello Morgan,

I respect that you take the time to respond to some of the comments. For the most part I am happy with the store and the playstation plus service. However I do feel like it would be courteous for someone to explain the process with the store. Why exactly is this a recurring problem with the store in regards to late and irregular updates.

I believe that it is valid for us users to expect more since we have been receiving such high quality in so many areas of the playstation business. At the minimum for digital products that are available at retail your official store should be as good or better. If there are external sources causing SCEA to be delayed I find it hard to believe that meausures cannot be taken to correct this.

The hard fact is when Sony says Tuesday, or in the past Friday, the reason I log in to view the store is not to kick tires of demo’s and trailers. It is in fact because we are interested in new compelling products that we can purchase to enjoy our free time and support Sony.

I’m not some child crying and whining. I am your core demographic that spends money, and I would like a fair and consistant shake.

    • The processes of the Store Update are not something I can share, I’m afraid. The Store Ops team is aware of the issue and always works hard to get updates early and on time. However, there can be issues outside of our control that affect the timeliness of the updates. Trust me, we’re all about people spending money on the Store =) We don’t take late updates lightly.

  • Borderlands PS+ deal must be a joke. You can get GOTY edition from Amazon for $19.99. I guess they couldn’t find any deals to offer this week, after last week’s deal madness.
Anyway, we shouldn’t complain much. We got 12 free games last week.

  • @Morgan I already follow both @PlayStation & @AskPlayStation on Twitter, but you’re saying, to actually receive notices about PlayStation Store delays (of which neither of the aforementioned “official” Twitter accounts gave), I need to follow the personal Twitter account of a PlayStation employee. Seems a bit backwards, no?

    • Yeah you’re right. I can work with @PlayStation to get them to tweet out these updates as well, but that’s something I don’t have control over so it may not be as consistent.

  • I must have misunderstood what the whole “instant game collection” thing meant

  • @ blakseed

Because this is the first and only time they have been late on an Update right? Like i said if this is happening frequently and more than once a month do you not think thats a problem?

  • HA ha ha ha… Dear MoHaro, have you Not realised by know that every single time the PSN store is updated late, The Lil’ children get sad and/or start complaining ’cause now they’re forced to wake up mommy and daddy (or their angry stepfather) so they can buy something for them? Pleeease, Think of the children!!! 8)

  • It doesn’t bother me as much, & clearly others agree w/ me. I can relate to some of the anger I’m reading here but I look at the big piture: “Am I being ripped off somehow?” No. “What is the product or service that I’m planning to buy?” Some games & maybe a movie.

I love to game & these delays are part of it. If this was my internet provider or my cellphone provider that continually has dropped calls or downed lines, then I’ll start turning green. Why? Cause they’re utilities.

Users are rarely ever satisfied. Early update & undesirable content. Late update, etc. If this was a paid service, they’ll be lawsuits- & rightfully so. But it’s not. Unless you have worked on PSN/MS Live, your logic on how to run a business or your business degree means nothing. How do you justify “it has to be done this way” w/out knowing the infrastucture?

  • “Must receive new content every week…will get angry if delivery is delayed by a matter of hours. No amount of previous or new content is ever good enough for my insatiable needs.” Ha!

    ***

Has anyone played Pulzar? Is it worth the two bucks?

  • Wednesday update.

  • PlayStation Plus might be your new instant game collection, but we’re still hitting members with great discounts on amazing content in the PlayStation Store. This week, we’re continuing E3 by bringing the best games of E3 shows from years past starting with two titles that made waves at E3 2009: Split/Second at 40% off and Borderlands at 30% off! lololololololol is this a joke?

  • The Walking Dead Episode 2?????????????????????

  • @iTofuMan: Yes, Sony had serious issues with late updates… several months ago. For almost two months now they’ve updated before 4pm Pacific, and many of those before 2pm. Heck, one of them was so early, nearly noon, that someone actually complained it was “TOO EARLY” and it caused them to miss a sale that had been up for a WHOLE ****ING WEEK! There’s no pleasing you people.
I happen to work til 11pm, so 95% of the time, I’ve already left for work when they update, even when it’s an “early” one. Where I work, EOD is midnight. It’s not mine, or Sony’s, fault that so many sheople have been duped into believing that everything in the world should run on a 9-5 schedule, and beyond that (EST/EDT) is late. You can claim I’m defending Sony. But I’m also ranting against the entitled idiots who literally think everything revolves around them. Until we pay just to access PSN, they owe us nothing in regards to a set in stone update time. Yes, it would be totally awesome, but when there are delays, there are delays. And Morgan already said they can’t make blog posts just to say “Hey, we’re going to be late.” People need to get over themselves. Seriously.

  • On-topic, the release of PulzAR reminds me that I never bought Table Top Tanks, so that’s two games I need to pick up. Plus TTT and Escape Plan DLC. And Red Johnson’s Chronicles, now at a decent price. As well as the new Pinball Arcade tables, though I’m curious if I’ll still get the PS3 tables for free if I buy the Vita ones now… guess I’ll find out when they release. I’ll also be checking out the Babel Rising demo. I’ve been getting into my Move again, thanks to Sorcery, so another Move game is a good thing for me. A decent update this week.

  • Im getting an error when I open up Escape plan demo, I’ve download it several times, but didn’t work, please sony, fix it

  • @78, looks okay. But TT just appealed to me more, probably because I just like tanks & blasting AI tank bots…:D TT has 7x trophies, I’m guessing Pulz will too. $2 for 7x trophies is a great deal if- you like the premise & the gameplay that revolves around AR. I may grab it eventually. However, should you not care for trophies, TT offered alot of gameplay (modes, for instance) that surprised me. I think Pulz will surprise many buyers @ $2.

  • @84, ohhh, I’ve read about it here that if you’ve installed the latest firmware then the demo will not work. Morgan, please confer w/ Funbits on a fix!

  • escape plan demo can’t open, it has error !

  • I find it pretty sad if people had to complain about an early update especially if they are complaining that a sale ended despite having a week to get it. Those types of people are complaining for the sake of complaining. Most people are just want a set time. is that so much to ask for?
The way i see, and how i do it at my job is that if i can get things done/finished earlier everything else seems to be done easier/faster. Why cant Sony do that? The way with these late update make it seem like they do all their work on Monday to get everything out for Tuesday which shouldn’t be the case. If they do things within the week dont you think these late update would be uncommon, or even rare? But its not, i can say that at least once, twice a month we get late updates. If this was a new program i can understand, but seeing as how PSN/updates have been around for years, these update should be in a timely fashion.

Again it seem like the people For these types of things like having their things Late. tell me if you were at a restaurant would you wait on your food for a couple hours?, or say something seriously like the ambulance? where does the line get drawn where for some jobs its ok to be frequently late on finishing your work?

  • “You can claim I’m defending Sony. But I’m also ranting against the entitled idiots who literally think everything revolves around them. Until we pay just to access PSN, they owe us nothing in regards to a set in stone update time.”

Yeah, you are defending sony. The competition doesn’t have these issues, why should I tolerate them from sony. If Sony wants my business, they better start performing and stop making excuses. The only individuals who tolerate this type of laissez faire attitude from a company are people born without a spine.

  • I wish I could use my real picture for a avatar. Awesome update!

  • @iTofuMan and massimodo: The whole point of my post is, “What qualifies as late?” Sony is based on the West Coast. They say they update on Tuesdays. According to their timezone, they update on Tuesdays. If people get their panties in so much of a twist that the PS Store doesn’t update when _they_ want it too, then maybe they should just adopt MS time and check on Wednesday instead, since it’s always up by then. People are judging the update as late based on their own standards. As I said before, it’d be great if Sony could set a specific time in stone and always update by it, but as we’ve seen just recently, content releases and even sale pricing can change at the last minute. You people are trying to make Sony and the Blog team out to be bad guys. Do you really think they enjoy upsetting people (as some posters have insuated, or outright claimed…)? That’s pure delusion.

And no, massimodo, those who tolerate this type of attitude aren’t necessarily those born without spines. They are those who know what is important in life and what’s worth fighting for. And the time of day that new things become available to spend money on is not one of them

  • Just bought Gravity Rush and MGS collection It’s gonna be a fun week !!

  • + AizawaYuuichi on June 13th, 2012 at 1:28 am said:

Says the guy who claims anyone who complains is an entitled idiot. You’re here playing in the muck like a good lil SDFer so spare me your little sermon, parson. A store is a store. End of story. What day a company updates is of no importance. If Sony updated on a Wednesday, they’d have the same problems, so spare me the crapola about MS updating on Wednesday.

I don’t think sony store staff and the blog team are bad guys. I think they suck at what they should be good at. Nice guy, who cares, go play with your kids. As George C Scott said to Paul Newman in The Hustler. This isn’t football, nobody pays you for yardage. Sony doesn’t pay these pay people to do their best, they pay for results. Can’t deliver results, sayonara.

  • Okay, okay. Everybody please calm down. The update was late, we don’t like it, I believe Sony doesn’t like it either. Let’s cross our fingers that things will improve. If it continues, nobody wins. =) Let’s enjoy the content & have a drink.

  • Hi, I logged in to pay homage to Fun Bits for their generosity today. The DLC was so ridiculously cheap, I wanted to somehow pay more money so I bought the new avatar pack, which was also too cheap!

While I’m here, I must say to @91, Aizawa-san, I guess I am wrong to believe this blog is populated solely (nearly) by undereducated, whiney, self-important teenagers. Nicely written comments.

That being said, store update was pretty late. I’m a West coaster (yay, Stanley Cup Champion Kings!) & even I think this was pushing it. Not mad, of course. That would be silly.

Oh, look. Gravity Rush finished copying to my Precious. Thanks, Morgan, for working the very late shift.

    • Thanks for the support. The hard work is done by the Store Ops team who work their butts off every week to get the great content on the Store.

  • @ luvtoseek

seeing as how this isnt the first time they have had this problem i doubt it will change any time soon. And that its basically the whole point. If other places can update say 6am in the morning why cant Sony?

    @ AizawaYuuichi

No they arent the bad guys, but it seems like they are unwilling to change, From someone who supports Sony and their team i want them to improve, but there is people like you and others who just doesnt care if they change, if you want them to improve not only for update like this, but other features why not express your concern. Ya it may not be the most important thing in the world, but if its something you and i enjoy why not help them?

All in all that what it comes down too, I as well as you and others want Sony to improve, but then we get things like this (late update) which happens frequently and yet they seem to not be changing anything.
