    umsobre2 exactly what i think !

  • and once again EUIU gets the good stuff.. they got darksiders and motorstorm apocalypse free for the june instant game collection… and now this month they get deus ex 2? I honestly dont give a crap about Dues EX but It would at least be nice if ONE of our 3 NEW games every month were games of that quality.. i was hoping for darksiders or motorstorm this month..

and to think EU used to say things like “we always get shafted, US always gets the good games first or sometime we dont even get the good games AT ALL”.. looks like theyre finally doing better than us in that department.

  • I loved the idea of Instant game collection but when u try to strike a comparison between US and EU something just doesn’t add up.
We are a getting a Batman game that wasn’t even properly reviewed by relevant magazines (IGN and Gamespot) while the European subscribers get the freaking DeusEX Game of the Year of 2011 and all DLC for free.
Also Batman was heavely discounted before going free, which i feel like a stab in the back.
After my 3 month subscription ends at the 14 of july im registering a European account and buying PSN+ for Europe.

  • @298 same here.
I feel the US team has really dropped the ball here. Gotham City Imposters was so buggy Sony was actually happy to issue refunds to gamers. Terrible choice IMO.
    August better kick butt!

  • Why not release 1 free game a week with a bonus like a mini or ps1 game. You could release a full ps3 disc game download the first week of every month followed by weekly psn game. I think that would work for all sides and you would hear less whining.

  • Now, I need a new HDD for my PS3, only 5GB left, or delete some old games…

  • @DuoMaxwell007, done forget EU get another full PS3 game on the 18th and a PSN game then aswell. But still EU has next to no PS1 games, also if I wanted to buy Fifa12 off the store it would cost me $109 AU, and the AU dollar is stronger than the US!( Most games are at least double the price as the US)

  • Personally, I’m not all about numbers (no disrespect to the above poster), but Euro getting Deus Ex: HR is the kind of service I was expecting, and it sours the North American offering to great extents.

I don’t have the spare time to play 7 to 8 new games a month. I would rather have my time well spent on one truly great game. The comparison between EU and NA may not be that fair, and I get that, I believe that a lot of people do. But Sony should also realize it is inevitable and, as such, NA has clearly lost July.

Again, here is hoping for a better August.

  • Hey morgan

Is it possible to become a plus member and download these games on a playstation site? I’m vising in FL and dont’ have my PS3 w/ me :/

  • Where is this ridiculous sense of entitlement coming from? How much do Xbox Gold users get for free for their 50 bucks a year? Did any of you REALLY expect to be getting 250 bucks of free games EVERY month? I signed up for PS+ after the PSN outage last year (picked up the 15 month package) and even with the majority of the time I’ve been on plus being on the old system, I still think I’ve gotten well over $1000 worth of games. Never regretted once signing up for PS+ or switching to PS3 from Xbox. Good job guys.

  • I think some people misunderstand why Plus exists. And this baffles me somewhat.

Sure, Sony will always advertise it like a premium program for loyal customers, but it shouldn’t take long to see what it really is.
If you spend money regularly on the store, you don’t really need PS+, and PS+ doesn’t really need you. You are already spending money of your own accord. PS+ is made to get people that would generally not interact with the store to spend SOME money with it, even if its just the subscription fee. Sure, there are benefits for everyone, such as discounts and early access, and to someone who already spends money, that is the meat of the experience, not the free stuff. This should really be obvious.

I have spend maybe 20 dollars in the Playstation Store in the 5 years that I own a PS3. 10 bucks were for Flower. But I have an stablished tendency to not care about digital gaming, nor to spend money on things I don’t own any rights to. Plus is perfect for me and for Sony. I pay an annual fee (money I would have otherwise NOT spend on PSN, and this is sort of a key point) and they give me stuff for playing along. Everybody wins.

  • i wonder how long the other games that came out in june going stay for free?

  • I prefer to see all the game at the beginning of the month vs a few each week. This month only 3 game ?
June was way better that this month and european PSN+ version of july is far better. (Deus ex + other vs only digital game)
After 1 year and more of psn+ I never play a mini game so I don’t really care but I want more dynamic theme the last month have a lack on this. Maybe add at least 1 ps1 game each month+ one mini at least to please everyone.

  • Deus Ex is a $20 game new its not much better than the 3 we’re getting in US.

  • I have to say I liked the way playstation plus used to be. Maybe it has more mainstream appeal now, maybe, but I feel like at this rate it’s going to get old real fast. It was so much better before, when we got games on a more weekly basis. I liked getting the minis and the ps1 titles, bring them back. I don’t want my plus membership to start to include vita games, because I will never own. I would like to see some sports, rpgs and racing games added in for diversity. I give the currently lineup about a 6/10.

  • @307, well that’s one way to look at it. But it’s not like that for everyone- not in the least. There are so many titles in retail & on the PSN store that being a + user alone does not mean little $ is spent on the store. What about DLC, or for that matter, PSN/PS1/PS2/PSP games? I’d spent alot of $ on the PSN network & am + member.

The important factor for you is, you “do not care for digital gaming…” That’s fine but like others have stated here, our harddrive space is running low. Many users here desire digital content.

  • @303 who says theyre getting another FULL PS3 game on the 18th? i know they said theres another Ps+ update/content on the 18th but they never specified it would be another FULL game.

@307 i thin its the opposite.. PS+ is only good for those who DO spend money in the store regularly.. i mean what does having “great discounts” every week do for someone who can only think of maybe 3 PSN games he wants to buy every year? whereas someone who shops in the store weekly or monthly, those ps+ discounts would be hugely beneficial to them..

so PS+ is fo rpl who actually use the store regularly not those who dont.

  • This is good, I just hope next month Sony doesn’t keep recycling the same games.

  • I think I should just go for the EU PSPlus. They get Deus Ex: HR with the dlc and more games later. All we get are three simple downloadables and nothing later.

  • Nice selection of games! Too bad I just bought Warhammer 40K Space Marines! Figures…

  • XIII_Cannon_XIII

If there are free ps3 games that I like or have interest in, hey I’m in, but most of these psn games are a bit under my scale of gaming. I perfer fps and rpg. The Batman Gotham City Impostors seems really well made for me. Now to only try it out.

  • Michael_Thomas09

The games released for plus should be a mix of niche titles and games themed around upcoming blockbuster titles. For example, how many of you would be more interested in Playstation All- Stars Battle Royal if, when the Fat Princess character was announced officially, you could get Fat Princess on plus for free?

  • Michael_Thomas09

Or imagine when they revealed Sweet Tooth? Free Twisted Metal 2 and a discount for Twisted Metal! That would also work for other upcoming games. Why not celebrate the new Sly Cooper game with all Sly Cooper themed content either free or discounted for plus members?

  • SOOPERGOOMAN187

I never would have thought Free Games=Complaining. Come on people relax, they got their system of when they drop games, its THEIR system not yours. anyways thanks for all the games, I like this new format as these games I wanted but my budget doesn’t allow it. thanks again and keep up the great work.

  • @312, in the EU blog, check the comments. The guy that does it responded to a comment saying that the 2 games coming later in the month would be a PS3 BD and a PSN title!

  • @311: As I said, of course there are benefits for every one that is interested. They do try to make the service appeal to every possible audience (which, again, makes the stark absence of Vita support all the more jarring).
I understand people that spend money regularly wanting plus. It IS a good “saving” mechanism, there are many discounts and promotions, they are all worthy. I was talking more about what I would call “direct audience”. If you already purchase a lot of content, the chances that the you will already have the free stuff grows bigger. It’s just plain math.

  • @312: I’m not saying you are wrong. If you buy content, PS+ gives you great discounts. I acknowledged that on my previous post. What I’m saying is that if you buy content, you are more likely to be interested in the discounts then in the free aspect, because if you buy, you probably already have the free, since it’s likely “dated” content. I’m only placing my opinion on people that say “that sucks, I bought this game last week”. Well, if you bought the game the game is your reward. PS+ gives you discounts to buy more stuff.
If you don’t buy games at all. It’s like “hey, here are a few 2 year old games to get you giving us at least SOME money, one way or the other”.

There is something in it for everyone; personally, I’m quite happy with the service I get out of it. I would think a lot of people are satisfied as well, whatever their motivations are. I’m only advocating against people complaining on lack of content or whatever. I think we are getting our subscriptions worth.

  • Michael_Thomas09

As for what IS available for July? Meh, I’m not a shooter-blow-everything-up sort. I’d enjoy more PSone freebies… alot of buried treasure in the past… Wonder why PSN never gave us Tobal No. 1, or Tobal 2, since PSone games offer Japanese titles…

  • Michael_Thomas09

Pac Man is awesome though, so… 5/10

  • Hi I am on the East Coast U.S. and I haunt gotten the games update to my PSN PS+ store yet? Do I need to wait or is there something I need to do? Any help be appreciated. You could contact me back here or on my PSN–BRKLYNBOY917

  • @311 and 312:
Maybe it’s a matter of what you consider yourself purchasing when you subscribe for PS+ I wonder what would happen (in terms of how sales figures would look like, rather) if they broke up the service in two distinct packages. One being the Instant Game Collection, and the other being everything else that Plus offers. How would the services fair independently?
With IGC you are paying for games to be available to you at moments notice. Good if you just got your PS3 or if you don’t play a lot of games, or don’t usually replay games. With Plus you are paying for the ability to pay less (something I think is absolutely valid) and have early access to stuff, some premium content, like themes and avatars, etc.

Each of these packages, to me, seems to target opposing audiences. At anyway, I digress. I’m happy with the service as is. My only “complaint” is that I wish the cloud storage was bigger and more flexible.

  • Spelling fix *have not*

  • I’m loving ps plus more and more ! I got. Plenty of games to play !!! Instead of virtual fighter you should of put mortal kombat !!!! The new one ! Have some like ps2 games like Resident Evil 4 HD ! Or something like that! And more ps3 games! The mini games aren’t that much fun only a few! (:

  • Would love to see the bigger picture on the rotation dates for the various titles in the Plus Instant library like Sony Europe provides on their blog. (by the way please bring a Deus Ex release to Plus like Europe just got to the US!)

The one type of title I would love to see added would be a Gran Turismo or Motorstorm….if offering an instant game library is the goal then a racing title is a no-brainer to broaden the genres covered. Also keep Vita in mind for future expansion! Using the Vita has felt like a natural extension of my PS3 PSN experience and further integration would be great.

Other than that, keep up the great work! Day one subscriber to Plus and I definitely feel I’ve gotten more than adequate value.

  • Michael_Thomas09

    @324, neither have I. We’ll just have to wait…

  • KingstonSupreme

I own none of the three announced games for this month so i’m happy.

  • Can anyone tell me why I cannot see these new games, (July 3rd PlayStation Plus Update) on my system here in the US?

  • i hope you guys throw darksiders for PS+ soon

  • Will we eventually get the same games that EU is getting? I don’t understand why we get different games from them in the first place. Why not have everyone on both regions get the same games? I want Dues Ex, the Digital copy of Darksiders, Oddworld:Strangers Wraith, Outland, and others we haven’t gotten. Will they eventually cycle their way to NA?

  • Wouldn’t it be nice to play Gotham City Impostors on my Vita

  • For those wondering about the updates, they normally hit the PSN store between noon and 5PM Pacific time. As for the three games this month, I stated earlier that I was happy enough with them until I saw the EU Plus members are getting Deus Ex HR. That immideately moves them up the chain quite a bit when it comes to a better lineup.

I would like to see things like that happen more stateside. The games do not have to be super new, but throw a bone to something late last year that was a bonafied seller. Sure, Warhammer Space Marine was a 2011 title, but I do not think it sold on the magnitude of Deus Ex Human Revolution. Also, factor in Darksiders and Motorstorm Apocalypse and EU Plus is eating US Plus offering for breakfast.

  • I have been a plus subscriber since day one, but their are a couple of things that I would like to see change. Please expand the online storage for game saves. I have been out of room almost since it launched. Most websites, amazon, msn, etc. offer free storage (usually up to 5GB) just for signing up. I would love to see the storage expanded to at least 1GB which would be more than enough to accomodate everyone. The second thing I would like to see is something that has been mentioned quite frequently on posst like this. That is to add PS+ features to Vita! Including the online save storage. I realize that getting free (Vita) games for Vita might be too soon, but there are plenty of other games to offer, such as minis and PSP games. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to add some wallpapers for the Vita in to the mix as well. Make it happen Morgan!

  • looks like i brought gotham city imposters last month 4 no reason and iget it free now

  • For those of you still reading comments, I think I have some info for you. After reading the EU blog, it seems that only three titles will be changing each month. The three we’re getting on this update are all for the month. The EU people will be getting one today and 2 others later in the month. So don’t hold out any hope for getting a new full title this month. Just for the guys running the US plus updates, it would be nice if you made that clear. I suppose we are getting better sales, but the games are defiantly the main draw for plus.

TL;DR – Only 3 games change a month, no more for US plus

  • Please.. Pretty Please.. increase the PS+ save game space from 150meg to something higher. I am always running out of space as I play that many games.

BTW Great program PS+ I love it.

  • *Suggestion

I think every retail game on the ps store should give you access to the digital manual via xmb or browser.

  • Don’t know why Ratchet is listed as free, for when I DL it, it was a 30 minute trial!?! Would like to have know that because it took up 14GB of space. Space that had to be made… not cool PSN.

  • Hmmm! I’m happy. Why does everyone need to feel entitled to something?

Even if we put up a voting for PS+ games, they’d still complain about the selection. Maybe if they got three 9/10 FULL GAMES per month, they’d be happy? Probably not since they’d already own all 3 of them.

I’m super happy about Gotham City Imposters and Renegade Ops. Pac Man CE DX is worth $10. So getting it for free is amazing.

I loved the GCI beta too but didn’t want to lay $15 down because, like some guy said, Plus gives me the chance to not spend any money.

So I’m a satisfied customer. I’d go with the … hmmm… well this method gives everybody a chance to subscribe and get games (newcomers). But for the regular plus ppl. I don’t know. I have more than enough games…. I don’t really need to complain when I don’t have enough time to devote attention to all of them…

  • Very very disappointed in PS Plus Euro ,Deus Ex: Human Revolution ,Darksiders ,Outland ,Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD ,Motorstorm Apocalypse .

  • Awesome my plus membership has paid for its self at least 3 times over and that’s just this year! Sony you rock thanks for the awesome titles too. You could be dropping junk games but your giving out great titles I’m back logged on my games now because of plus lol. Been wanting pacman dx for a while now not to mention half the titles you released last month.
