I like the title of your story… Playstation does help… it’s more than “just games” to some of us. I’ve met some really great people online and yes I too actually lost my closest friend on the PSN to cancer so I can definitely / personally relate to your story too, so I guess I’ll have to admit I got a little emotional reading this too… To me playstation is about games/fun but the real fun has always been about sharing that fun with others. Imagine online games with no ways to communicate / no typing / no headsets… I can’t say I would have played Unreal Tournament for 6+ years and Socom for 10+ years now without being able to hang out with the great people I got to know. Actually, I KNOW I would have gotten bored of those games by now.. it’s the people that keep me coming back. It’s the community/teamwork/friendship that makes online games worth logging onto for the 1000th time… the competition is just what gets us there. So thanks to SONY and game developers for making games that bring people together… and thanks to the people that get on for more than “just a game.”

I share a tear with you for your loss. That is what real friendship means, a very rare thing now a days. You have to be happy despite the result cause you found a true friend in him.

This was a great story. You have really set the bar high for everyone trying to enter this contest. You deserve that $50 PSN voucher and then some. I hope you use it in some way to remember J.T., so when you play (watch or listen?) you’ll remember the good times you spent together.

Thanks everyone. He was a great guy and I never expected to win. The truth of the matter was that I wanted to share something about someone I will always view as a brother. In sharing this I felt joy for remembering.
