And fits of anger. Still, cannot deny the act of charging near retail price. I use the word “near,” as both physical and digital retailers can run specials to drive up sales of their product. Sony could post the digital at, say, $35.99, while a retailer like Target could have it at $49.99, then have it on sale for $19.99 to sell through copies.
Tis a curse of the gaming world, though if you do your homework, you, the consumer, can come out on the side of your wallet.

As for the Dawnguard question, the 30 days exlusive doesn’t end until the 26th so the earliest drop that we would see it on a Tuesday would be next week not this week.
Malicious is supposed to come out for the Vita too, I was hoping they would get released on the same day :(. We really need more Vita releases. I know it’s summer, but even so, I want to know that this fall is going to be jam-packed with good titles. Assassin’s Creed Liberation is the lone stand out… (Sly and Allstars I will get on the PS3).
Last week of boredom until the new release season kicks off next week with Sleeping Dogs.

Depends on what the publisher and Sony’s uploaders work out. Ideally it should be at the earliest moment, but licensing issues do have a tendency to crop up. The good thing is that it is coming. Could be worse; could be getting the same news that hopeful fans of Final Fantasy XIII Versus got late last week.

This has to be the only company that doesn’t support its own hardware. People want to know when psone games are coming they have nothing to say. People want more psp titles (that don’t cost an arm and leg after being out for years already) they have no answer. Why make the system if they won’t back it. disappointing
i wish they would have told me when i first got the vita that i paid $300 for a device they will barely support so i could gotten my money backthen.

I can name one convention of team based shooters it breaks… being in any way fun.

i took a look at the UK psn store today for the first time.. i gotta say, i could not be more disappointed and upset about the _____ ( enter horrible word ) support the U.S. is getting.. uk has 70+ ps2 classics and not to mention they already have the ratchet and clank collection PLUS they are able to pre order different editions ( silver,gold,ect) for Assassins creed 3…i could not be more unsatisfied with wat they are offering in this “GREAT” country…

Going to agree with some people here. not a good update, but i assume it will be like last week and have a bunch of sales/deals. Although the 2 Vita titles seem interesting, i probably wont be buying it this week. I will say though that Operation Raccoon City is a great game.

Sadly, gaming history is full of companies that did not support their systems. One of the most infamous was Atari of the early 1990s, where they hyped up their Lynx portable and their 64-bit Jaguar systems, yet never really delivered for them. Another would be Tiger Electronics, who barely tried with their Game.com (though they got some serious licenses, though they wasted them). NEC/HudsonSoft’s TurboGraphix 16/Duo/Express didn’t fare much better post-1990.
To Sony’s credit, they actually are supporting more than some systems (heck, the launch lineup was far more diverse than the 3DS’s was at its launch). Then again, considering the lack of support for the PSP before it, it does feel like the new-age Jaguar: all hype about its power, yet only a handful of good games…

Never easy being an early adoptor. Still, remember that it took the 3DS most of its first year to get anything unique or worthwhile for its lineup (Super Mario 3D Land didn’t show up until November, and the eStore and Virtual Console didn’t show up until over a month after launch).
While most of the Vita games announced thus far are basically PS3 hand-me-downs/ports, a few unique gems are bound to show up to give a unique experiance for the system. And do not forget that there are many great PSP/Minis/(PSOne?) games to tide you over while waiting for those great games.

Unless there is a license issue (namely some wierd exclusivity clause that hasn’t been brought up) or development reason (glitches, etc), I cannot see why they wouldn’t bring it over if it was financially feasable. Just have to give it time.

I hope there are more sales like last week. Still tempted by the special on Hot Shots Golf Vita, and would love to see more markdowns for full Vita “retail” games (Ultimate MvC3 or Rayman Origins anyone?). And a few PSP sales wouldn’t be bad (looking at you, Jack and Daxter PSP).

It is ridiculous that the PS3 does not have this feature. Does the PS3 not have the tech to display our PSN games alphabetically? What gives? Do your programmers not know how to make alphabetical sorting possible or something? Inept employees? Is that the answer?

Not sure about Dawnguard, really wish it was 100 but probably more like 47.
I’ll be picking up Malicious for sure. Action game fans should definitely pick this up. Don’t skip out on this game fans of the action genre!
Anyway, this week in imports has some stuff to note.
For PS3 there’s a port of Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2 (never released in English), a new Macross Hybrid pack, and some neat PS3 accessories. Such as some new colors for the existing turbo pad, and a new iteration of the Liquid Crystal Monitor screen for PS3 (supports HDMI this time).
The Vita is getting nothing notable, but the PSP is getting lots of stuff. PSP is getting a humongous amount of visual novels, and Trails of Nayuta.

For those of you wondering about Dawnguard, it is as an earlier poster said, X has a 30 day exclusive. There has been no announcement for the PS3 or PC versions as of yet, leading to much complaining on the Bethesda forum.
I’ve already finished DG & it has been pretty buggy for many players. Just as the PS3 version of Skyrim is famous for glitches, it continues with the DLC. So just be aware that depending on how you play the game, whether you choose to be a vampire, werewolf or not, & who your follower is, you may run into some problems. I advise you finish the main quest first & keep a system of saves.
Still no PS1 support for the Vita. Definitely gonna try out the puddle game though.

There hasnt been a good psn release in forever. Releasing ps3 games that are already out is completely lame. Sony needs to desperately step up the game on the digital market. Lame PSN updates week after week after week….
