  • cool! and avatar for free!!! where is the super-duper-instant game collection? . Please put the Splinter cell HD trilogy for free!! thx!!

  • I’d love to know when Crunchyroll is coming to PSN. I’d love to watch anime on my TV other than my computer.

  • @ all that own Resistance Retribution-

Can anyone comment on whether the control scheme has changed for the Vita? As in dual analog support? Thanks!

  • ohhh look, another update and as usual no vita game discounts, seriously, you people thought that having virtua tennis and hot shot golf would make everything fine? how about some discounts on the good games! about time sony, every retailer out there is having a buy 2 get one free and games are being sold at 50% off but to us, the ones that bought the 100 dollars memory card and want to support the digital marketplace you give us nothing, nothing sony, i have lost my faith in this brand, amazing how you come out and say you are listening to your supporters but vita owners have been screaming at you for good vita games on sale, man even Europe had a sale and we are still begin for one

  • @T3DV0L70L1N4

Peace Walker IS playable on the Vita, you just can’t download it through the Vita storefront.

Go to the PSN via a PS3, download the game from the PSP section and transfer it to your Vita by USB, once it’s on your memory card you’ll be able to install and play it. It even gives you the option of remapping the camera from the face buttons to the second stick, which makes it infinitely more playable.

    Also, a question for Morgan.
I know you probably aren’t privy to the conversations, but is there any news on if Vita will ever get Remote Play back? It works really well for PSone games as it is, and I know that it did work for PS3 games before the firmware updates were pushed out right before the Vita’s release. It seems to me this would be a MASSIVE selling point for Vita if it worked right out of the box, and it seems a little backwards that a feature that could potentially bolster sales exponentially would be nixed forever.

(Also, when is Vita getting Zen Pinball, and why isn’t that right now?!?!?)

  • Morgan Haro since you can now buy Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City in the PlayStation Store. Can I please get the avatars for this get in the store too?

  • i just notice something wasting ps plus a year $50 for discounts free games and other stuff i find it stupid cause now of the game in thise update dont matter to me i already own some of them and is like ufff <_< i could have bought the 3 month ps plus thing instead they should put games that have better rating in discounts not games that we dont care! and plus REORC they sell the game at gamestop $29.99 and other stores have discounts of $19.99 they should have thinked of the competition or they could have put like a bundle whit all dlc

  • Nice some DLC for WKC2 thank you for that, i hope to see more support for this game.. especially for content already on the disc.

  • Im playing foosball demo right now and its awesome, ill buy it for sure tomorrow when its up on the europe store.I still don´t see Metal gear HD collection on psn store for ps3 thats disappointing.

  • Yay! GTA Vice City is finally compatible with my Vita! I guess this will have to hold me over until Rockstar makes a new Grand Theft Auto specifically for vita. San Andreas stories anyone?

  • There is any chance to see a god of war avatar on the US or EU store some day , i’m desperetly loocking for the one that some buyer of ghost of sparta receive 2 years ago

  • Is there a Malicious demo? I’m interested, but would like to try it first. I’m finished work for another 3 hours, so I can’t check :)

  • Absence is supposed to make the heart fonder so by the time I get to play Patapon 3 on my Vita it should be that much sweeter. Will get Puddle though. I’m jonesing for Vita content.

  • So happy that Malicious is finally here. It looked too good to be an exclusive Japanese title. Does anyone know how long this game is?

  • Sony, dont you want me to spend my 40$ worry free?

I have a concern. I have 40$ waiting to be spent on psn for my vita or ps3. But I feel like I have to wait until the next update so I dont buy something that I will get for free. And even then its going to worry me that it will end up free in a month or so

PS Plus users should get refunded if they buy a game within 60 days that ends up being free.

    Or

Offer more free games but you can only download one or 2. That way you can offer more selection but not piss off people who buy games.

    Or

Provide some insight to upcoming freebies so I can spend my money online worry free.

I signed up for PS plus to save money not to worry about wasting it.

No hating though, I appreciate all the free games (already paid itself off). Good work guys, just please help us figure out how to solve the problem that I see every update in the comments.

  • I know all publisher wants people to go digital but these prices are insulting, 49.99 for resident evil? Are you kidding me after all the bad press and the fact that you can get it cheaper in physical form and worst part is prices go down very slow or never

  • Is there ever going to be a chance that the Lunar the Silver Star and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue games will be coming as ps1 classics? Those were 2 of my favorite all time games even with the original on Sega CD.

  • Morgan, do you know something about the release dates of Guilty Gear ACP and Jet Set Radio???

  • its a miracle i can finally login and post comments with the ps3 browser . not having a pc visiting the blog everyday for the past 2 years with the ps3 not being able to comment. finally now i have arrived. im not using my main account for login , but yes i have ps+ and 1766 trophies

  • Where is Dawnguard Xbox supposedly timed exclusive is up tomorrow so where is Dawnguard for us I feel we are getting really ripped when we cant get a release date for this or even how long microsofts timed exclusive is so Morgan if you have any word on Dawnguard please tell me.

  • Plus has indeed become vastly disappoint in the course of the month. I had read it somewhere that you aim at keeping Plus “in the buzz”, and being talked about throughout the month. This is you failing, right now. At least, I highly doubt that any “buzz” generated at this point is any good.

Really, spread the goodies out through the month. Being given a bunch of stuff at a time feels like Christmas but makes the rest of the month feel disappoint. And I do hope that we get a “fix” for the euro Deus Ex situation and get something comparable in quality in August. We are kind of needing it.

  • hey sony what about those ps vita apps like crackle hulu plus frobisher says tag and a bunch of others that you havent made one announcement single announcement for this whole entire month

  • if didgital distribution is ever going to take off the prices of games need to seriously come down. there’s no reason for me to pay full price and wait hours on end for the game to download and install when i can simply go to a store, pay the same price, and be playing the game within 10 minutes

  • Hey Morgan I got a store content suggestion:

Since PS2 support of this game seems to have phased out (it seems PS2 wont be getting the new upcoming expansion pack) and since Sony has been releasing digital PS2 games for PS2 dubbed “PS2 Classics” its would be wonderful to see Final Fantasy XI (and all its expansions) brought to PS3 as a PS2 Classic, so those of us with non backwards compatible PS3s can enjoy Final Fantasy XI.

  • @AJC3317, well you can go to the store and purchase the game on disk and only have 1 copy. You download the PSN Digital version, you now have it on 3 ps3 systems. So in some CRAZY way, I like to purchase Digital games. I also have 1 psp 3000, 1 pspGo and 1 Ps Vita. So again , buying games on PSN are that can be used on 2 psp’s is a sweet bonus. you are correct on the price points of some games though. Oh well, Its your money, spend it as you wish…Keep On Gamin.

  • Im 34 yrs old and kids trust me when you get older you will complain too especially in situations where you feel like you just been swindled out of $300. Sony has control over this trust me , don’t say it’s the companies that make the games i should be complaining too. Sony in this drought of PS Vita games could make an effort to ummmmmmmmm lets say how about giving us some SOCOM 3 FTB on ps vita and KEEPING THE SERVERS ONLINE U F***S!!!! Maybe some Resistance Retribution cause i know they had a deal going that if you bought a PS Vita you could download the PSP game Resistance Retribution on to your Vita. Dude i play my damn iphone more than my PS Vita and i hate my iphone because of no analog sticks. Price of games are crazy compared to iphone games and they get map packs on there shooters. All i have to say is SONY IF A CONTROLLERATTACHMENT COMES OUT FOR IPHONE GAMES CONSIDERED THE PS VITA A WASTE OF MONEY! With todays economy companies like this should be fined heavily for putting a product out that has nothing going for it, it’s just there taking and wasting money!

  • Morgan, I know there aren’t any PSP games this week, but I may be getting a Vita soon and I have a question.

Do all newer PSP games from PSN work on the Vita or do they need to go through that same process that all older titles had to first?
Also, is there a mater list of of all PSP games that will function on the Vita somewhere, and do you know how often it is updated?

    Thanks : )

  • Picked up Malicious as well as the demo for Puddle. I’m not sure if I’ll buy the Full Game for Puddle, as the videos just make it look like a rip-off of WiiWare’s Fluidity. I was also thrilled to see Resistance Retribution FINALLY available for download on Vita, considering it was my last non-compatible PSP game and one of the games I wanted to play most with updated Vita controls. Of course, I’m confused as to why I had to read about it in the comments section to know the game was now available, but at least it’s there and downloading now. You might want to update the blog to account for the game.

  • playstation is so better then xbox360!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I i have the last military pack for gravity rush, this update coming whit a new.update.or what? Because in the store its the same add that i ready have, so no nrw updates for gravity rush?

  • I don’t mean to troll or whatever you call it now days BUT i speak for everyone who bought this wonderful handheld which has all the power and potential of becoming a great thing for on the go gamers. I love gaming, im 34 yes but a kid at heart and the last thing i want to do is grow the F**K up (who wants to be like there parents geez). All im saying Sony if you are out of ideas or things get slow on the production side maybe just maybe you could say partner up with your rivals? Make PS Mobile apps compatiable with Apple iphone apps? I mean if it’s a competitive thing then well………maybe you should rethink the whole thing for the good of the product. Im just saying i would by NOVA 2 or 3 and Modern Combat 2 and 3 if they were made available to us, the 2 analog sticks get a nice workout and FPS fans which gravitated to the PS Vita because of the Dual analogs are happy. yeah your splitting the profit BUT you know longer have an idle machine. Really thou Unit 13 no new missions or maps then the company that made the game belly flops…whats next Nhilistic Studios closes it’s doors too and which pretty much spells no future updates also?

  • https://p.twimg.com/Aym9VvvCcAETwoM.jpg. This the pack that i have :+, its gonna be other one!?

  • “Buy Malicious people! It’s a good game and definitely worth the price of admission”

Why isn’t there a demo for us to see this ourselves? Dyad came out last week and got a demo this week. These games should have demos out on release if not earlier. What’s with that problem?

  • Why do the new minis not work on the Vita? Come on. Reduce psp game prices please!!

  • i was wondering when will we have the ps vita apps out? been waiting for wake up club and others!

  • ok so im only half pissed because i just saw that Resistance Retribution was added to the US PSN store. I’ll be back in 3 weeks to continue my rant.

  • Oh im back and pissed again! U sneaky F**Ks!!!! Right before i hit “BUY NOW” and confirmed it i glanced over and saw “MULTIPLAYER NOT INCLUDED” WTF? STUPID! You almost had my $19.99 Sony.

  • It’s kinda boring not to see any good stuff on Plus week after week unless it’s the first of the month. But I’m not one of the ungrateful who’ll forget about the good stuff and complain about lacking updates. Though I think you should drop the free games and huge discounts gradually throughout the month, and offer more discounts on new releases. It’ll be nice to get Malicious with a discount, and 20% off could push me into getting Puddle too.
Also, please don’t keep the updates restricted to a theme, like last week’s sports-only. You can’t always please everyone, but doing that you’ll displease everyone who doesn’t like that single genre.
Thanks for the continuous work, looking forward to next month. May we have free Ratchet & Clank in september to make us want to purchase the other games in the HD collection? (Not like I wouldn’t anyway)

  • I am so tired of these lame vita games. foosball and puddle(2010). The vita is supposed to be a power house, but I have yet to see it. Even uncharted looked ok, but the backgroud was nothing but wallpaper.

  • 1.I was going to buy some things untill i noticed none of it was’ Vita compatible.

2.SONY do all of us a favor and sort the issue out, there is so mch stuff that should work on the Vita that dont.

3.I belive I am really beginnig to regret my Vita purchase, it feels like PSPgo all over again GD’it.

  • One highlight for me as a Vita owner: Velocity is now available on Vita. It was previously free on PS+, so that is my roundabout free Vita game for the week. Should get me through until the next update.

  • Ohhh!!! And another thing….dawngaurd and beths Xcrotch fanboy’ism has offically turned me off of elder scrolls big time!!

I for one am done supporting that lazy greedy company just because they can make a UBERglitchy freeroam title that appeals to my sandbox loving side.

  • MINIS FOR VITA NOW GD’it!!!!!!!

Wizorb SHOULD be on my Vita right now…but…its not.

    RAWr!!!!!!!!!!! ):

  • I’ve been wondering… when will we hear about the Vita version of Malicious? I want to get it!

  • Morgan just notice you saying there are some amazing ps2 classics coming you guys should release champions of norath it was such a good game and people are always demanding a dungeon crawler

  • man i was really pumped that Vita v1.8 was gonna hit today :( another thing why dont you guys release Final Fantasy X on PS2 classics i really dont care about the HD stuff or atleast release some good PS2 games other than the ones nobody plays prob some Bully or Capcom vs SNK just saying…

  • I am a Playstation plus member. When I tried to download lego batman 2 trial. it says cannot be accessed from your account. Can you please look into this.

  • ^^^
I’m wondering and hoping the same thing?!?!? I’m happy that Malicious is out, and I understand and pretty much already knew it wasn’t going to come out on the Vita the same day as the PS3 version… however, since we know there is a Vita version being developed in Japan that will be released somewhat soon, I’d like to at least know approx when and or if Malicious is still coming to the states for us Vita fans??? Oh please OH GOD I hope Malicious for the Vita is still coming out for us Westerners?!?!? It looks like such a badasstical, fun game!!!

Also, as someone else here already asked… what is the latest on Zen Pinball with all the Marvel DLC packs?? It came out for the 3DS a couple weeks back and IF it doesn’t look like it’s headed to the Vita at all anymore, I think I unfortunately might just go ahead and get the 3DS version… even though I’d rather play it on the Vita with its brilliant OLED screen/analog sticks/better tech/etc. etc..

So if there’s any new news on either of these potentially two great Vita games, let us know ASAP. And that request isn’t just directed at Morgan Haro… it goes for anyone else who might have access to any new info regarding these games.

  • Sevyne – RE:ORC is @ BestBuy for $14.99. With the rewards, I got it for $5. I agree with you, it’s too funny.

  • Another weak update for me at least. I’m also starting to not like the new Plus set up. It just feels empty getting the 3 games at the first of the month. Ya I know we got 2 PSOne classics but those were garbage unless you like sports games. I’m also not buying anything pretty much anymore just so I can maybe get some games I don’t have yet from Plus. It sucks when the last 15 games they give out and I already own 12 of them.

I really hope next month brings something big and awesome because so far this new Plus is worst than it was before. Also I’m a big supporter of Plus since D1 and will support it into the future.

Oh well time to go mess with the many games I bought off of the Steam sale. Maybe Sony should look at them for some help on pricing digital stuff.
