  • Typical “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.” response from a clueless fanboy. Sorry that I don’t play favorites to a company. If I have a problem I voice it no matter who it is to. Also if Sony can’t make good on a plan then they need to change their plan and not continue to advertise it as something they can’t truly provide. The publisher thing is Sony’s problem; It should not be made our problem.

  • Any chance of a PS1/PSP sale in the near future?

  • And i guess that is what you dont understand. We still get new PS+ content every month, just because it is something you dont like, doesnt mean that other people dont like it. YOU are not the center of the universe, Sony doesnt cater to YOU and YOU alone.

I dont play favorites to a company, this is actually the most i have ever posted on these blogs, and most of my other posts are actually complaints, but seeing stuff like this from self entitled twitts just kinda sets me off.

  • There a problem eith the Crunchyroll app. After I connected to my Crunchyroll account, I went to watch an anime that looked interesting but when I start an episode of any anime, I don’t have sound.

  • This isn’t just about me and it isn’t simply about it being games I don’t like. If it were simply games I do not like then I’d have no right to complain. They are giving much less than what they used to and are flat out lying and saying it’s more. Yet here we are paying the same as we did for less quantity and less quality. It’s not my fault you are gullible and braindead enough to buy into it.

Call me self entitled all you want. The internet has taught you well I see. It’s yet another typical cop-out response when you really have no valid point to make. Have fun with living in complete ignorance.

  • For anyone wondering about Growlanser Vita compatibility, apparently it is currently compatible via PS3 transfer.

Ornager, try switching the inputs of your TV to another input ( like component, hdmi, etc) and then going back. That sometimes happens to me in games, and that fixes it, otherwise you might want to wait a short while and do a google search to see if others are having the same issue.

  • “Note: Due to an unforeseen complication, the Grand Theft Auto III PS2 Classic is not publishing with today’s Store post. We will update you when a new release date has been identified. We apologize for the inconvenience”

+ Morgan Haro on July 31st, 2012 at 11:20 am said:
We made a note about this at the top of the post. There were some last minute issues with getting clearance for a certain audio track in the game; but the teams at Rockstar are on it to review how to best get this title on PSN.

This is why I kept my PS2 and all my games for it, and continue to hunt for rare older games I want to play. A digital only games market will only result in this kind of disappointment in the future. Voice your concerns (through the right channels) and stand up against a digital only game market.

  • @daveyr41: Smart move on keeping that old PS2 around. One of my friends was digging around in his closet and actually found his copy of Rule of Rose yesterday. Can’t tell you how jealous I was seeing that game again. Game is rare as hell, and I can guarantee that is a game that will never show up on PSN.

  • I can’t believe there is no more Rainbow Moon DLC this week!!! COME ON!! Really?

26 separate sets of DLC in the first two weeks of the game’s release is simply NOT ENOUGH!
When I buy a $14.99 downloadable title I EXPECT, no, DEMAND an extra $62 in add-ons.
    /sarcasm

Honestly I was afraid the milking would never stop. I hope none of you guys bought into that garbage. It only encourages them further.
It’s like Capcom’s Street Fighter and EA’s Tiger Woods made a greedy little child. Bravo EastAsiaSoft. You are forever on my ‘avoid’ list.

  • It’s kinda funny how the best movies come out it the summer but the games of summer kinda suck. PSN for having sub-par updates as of late. They’re just working with what they’ve got. Darksiders 2 comes out next month and hopefully that’ll hold some you folks over til we start seeing some good games again. Oh and if you’re on the fence about Dragon’s Dogma, get off of it and go spend the money! You won’t be disappointed

  • Is there any info on the Vita compatible version of GTA Chinatown Wars? I thought it was discussed during the store preview on the last blogcast. Is it up on the store, and just not talked about in the store update post? Is it something that’s coming in the near future?

  • @Sevyne I’ve never heard of that game until just now. i googled it and it’s been added to my list of hunted games
    :D

  • Sevyne, i’m still waiting for you to make a point, as what you are saying simply isnt true. Sometimes it may not seem like it, but we are getting just as much content as before. Have you shown me any other months before June where we got THAT much content? Just because July didnt get as much, doesnt meant that we arent going to get more in the future, and August hasnt even started yet. And betas sometimes get delayed, etc.

You seem to want everything your way, and it doesnt always work like that.

  • @daveyr41: I strongly recommend it. Creepy as hell. I’d also suggest checking out Haunting Ground, but both would probably come at a high price these days. They aren’t very easy to find.

  • Can´t wait for gta 3 and the walking dead , awesome update

  • @Sevyne yeah I haven’t seen it while hunting but I did pick up haunting grounds. I found it really cheap, like $10 in great condition

  • Will we look forward to a SoundShapes Demo because I still need to wrap my head around it and bring more demos for the Vita in the Years to come.

  • @LionFranco: It’s not really about wanting it “my way” it’s about wanting them to continue providing at the very least the same quality they did before the format change. Here’s the thing; Since the format change it feels like we are getting less and less than before. I know all of August’s content is not revealed yet, but when you open your month with less than half of a game as your showcase you are setting a really poor mood for the rest of that month. That is something that just shouldn’t have happened.

Like I said earlier; If it is simply games I do not like or already have then that’s one thing. That is going to happen no matter what. There is no game on PSN that they could possibly release on Plus that nobody has (well maybe Amy, but I’m sure there were some suckers who bought that steaming pile). I’m okay with that. To try to pass off an incomplete game as a full game is an entirely different story though.

  • Any word Dawnguard yet Sony? To be honest, I don’t really see anything that is appealing to me. Pretty bummed out about no Skyrim more than anything. I’m happy for those who like the update and hope they enjoy…

  • Morgan, two Walking Dead Episodes are 2/5 of a game, it’s not a matter of perception considering you guys have already given away Sam and Max and Back to the Future COMPLETE SEASONS before.

  • I gotta say you people at sony arent doing a good job with vita. week after week i read how us vita users are getting nothing. what is everyone on summer vaction there? no update for vita. what are you waiting for someone to hack the vita before putting out update? just so sick and tired of waiting and getting nothing!!

  • Morgan Haro,

Sorry for sounding rude in my previous posts but i needed stuff answered. Now please see if you can talk to sony about getting Ape Escape on the PSone classics. Please?

  • Funny how PS Plus updates were amazing JUST before most people’s subscriptions were about to expire. Then once most renewed, we’ve been getting zilch.

How about some Vita Plus love, maybe a discount on Escape Plan? How about some free older PSN games? One per update would suffice. Two discounts, one a game we can’t even try yet, doesn’t cut it!

  • Getting siren bloodcurse for PS+ would be really nice.Just saying…

  • Here we go again, just like the release of Killzone PS2 classic.

Sony, maybe it’s time to fire your staff who deal with content at the PSN store. This is the third time this year something was announced with a release date and then was held back “due to unforeseen circumstances”. It just completely amateur, if your not sure you can deliver then keep your mouths shut.

The entire Playstation division at Sony is just a complete mess. Between the content screw ups at the PSN store, the lack of cross game chat, the hack/outage of PSN last year, the non-existent PS2 classic library which took why to long to appear to the lack of promised feature on the Vita. Wake up!

  • Extremely weak update. I don’t expect every single update to be stellar and full of content, but the lack of content in this one is staggering. I’m going to amount it around being the last update of July and you guys running out of stuff to show, so here is hoping for a kick ass update in August.
Also, you are dealing with Plus and the IGC in an awfully non-transparent way. People have no idea when games come in or out, there is no advance notice in sales or premium content. It is no wonder people feel like they are getting shafted at every turn.

Congratulations on the post formatting, though. Outstanding.

  • wow some people ask question without even trying to find the answer in the post, and its ok that GTA 3 isn´t coming out today, its really good game and all but it totally worth waiting for a less buggy game so take your time but want think i wanna see is GTA SA now that a GTA to be hyped about.

  • xD you made a typo for the avatar section update >sonic 4 ep II

  • OH MY GOD PLEASE when it comes to TONY HAWKS PRO SKATER HD PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YESSS!!!! FINALLY!! SONIC AVATARS!! SONY LISTENED TO ME!!! I AM COMPLETE!!! :)

  • The Crunchyroll app is not working for me its not playing any videos and i already check with my friends and its happening to them to. just wanted to see if it was normal or was it happening to everyone.

  • LOL how come blog managers dont have a plus account!?……

  • @183 umh maybe because they aren´t sign in with psn ID.durhh.

  • Hey Morgan, I wish you could talk more about what’s coming for plus. I get why companies wouldn’t want to impede sales for those games up to when they come out on plus. At the moment I don’t see enough for me to want to renew. I don’t see why you couldn’t at least say if the we are getting a full game in August. I know the EU guys let everyone know that much. Best of luck to you.

  • I understand how you’re putting out info, but I have an idea to help you from repeating yourself over and over in the comments. When you do the first plus post of the month, put some mystery icons of stuff coming up later in the month. For example, this month would have been the walking dead games in the picture along with two question mark icons (maybe with what type they are PSN or full game if you’re feeling generous). That should help with the anticipation thing you wanted to have and prevent people from thinking that those games are all their getting.

  • I’ll hold off buying Sound Shapes until it comes to the Vita since it feels more like a Vita game to me.

  • This Vita dryspell is starting to get a little bit too dry for my taste.

Wasn’t LBP Vita supposed to be out June / July ? What happened to that ?

  • @Anti-Steven

I love that idea. I suggested something similar. It would be nice if we could at least get an idea as to the amount of content that is coming and when, as opposed to being completely left in the dark.

I clicked on the PS+ post expecting to see two or three new games for the Instant Game Collection. Seeing WD as the lone free game is nothing but underwhelming. And it’s kind of annoying that we no longer know what to expect when it comes to updates. Why is it that only one game is announced, instead of the usual full set of games for the first update of the month? If I’m paying for a service, I want some consistency.

A few question mark graphics, maybe with a clarification as to whether it is a full game or a PSN game, and when we can expect it would go a long way in avoiding the damage control in the comments.

  • Show some Vita love!!!!!!!!!! PSone classics, PS2 classics, anything

  • I have only one thing to ask from SONY, please add a option to search or sort our download list. I have some DLC that aren’t available through PS Store, only download list, and I couldn’t find some of them (mainly those GT5 stealth cars).

  • Still nothing for the PS Vita??? How disappointing ! When will Sony release some qames for the Vita already? Since Metal Gear Solid nothing even worth downloading has been released, there are like 3 reasonably good games for the system (MGS, Mortal Kombat, Uncharted) all the rest is crap. I did not buy the Vita to play PSP and PS one games. Honestly if I knew its going to be like this I would not even have bought it. And also the facbook and youtube and skype applications could use an update seriously ! They are absolutely worthless, you cant even send message on Skype , cant filter video search results on youtube, cant search for people on Facebook just to name a few flows… Come on Sony!!!! WTF!!!

  • Do something!!! Make some games, or refund the people who bought PS Vitas!

  • @170, there is no concrete release date for Dawnguard. Bethesda merely announced this week that patch 1.7 was ready & would be going to Sony sometime this week. Yes, they are at least as nebulous as Sony when it comes to dates. Patch 1.7 will include patch 1.6 which PS3 never got, which was the patch that readied the Xbox for getting DG last month.

So, it sounds like a couple weeks until the patch & then Dawnguard sometime shortly thereafter. Yes, it’s buggy. It would be wise to finish the main quest first, & to start doing & keeping manual saves, just in case you have the misfortune of picking up some of the many bugs.

  • I’m putting up big scores with Treasures of Montezuma Blitz…Holla at ya boy. Also luvin Hot Shots Golf:WI and just started playing alot of Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack ….Long Train rides+Vita= Happy times…..Keep on Gaming.

  • -Morgan Haro-

Not sure who to ask about this, but you might be able to help point me in the direction.

Is there any way to get a better “Download List” interact function? Like having a sort feature or something else to make it easier to find items you’ve downloaded, instead of scrolling down through hundreds of items.

  • Hey Morgan,

Just picked up Expendables and Castle Crashers. I’ve always been a fan of those types of games among others. I have a request and I think many would share my request. I would love to see more mutli- player arcade style games with drop in/out online and local play. Any chance of getting some more of the classic arcade games with those added features in the coming months on PSN? I would love to see arcade classics like Sunset Riders, Ninja Baseball Batman, Battle Toads, Bucky O’Hare, Timber, Alien vs. Predator or the 2 TMNT classic arcade titles. I have enjoyed X-Men, the Simpsons, House of the Dead 4, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, and Dragon’s Lair. I also plan to purchase Double Dragon Neon & WWE Wrestlefest on release. I also heard there is also a Caveman Ninja remake in the works. I think there is a large fanbase for titles like these and I think they will continue to sell well. Thanks for hearing out my request and continue the great work!

  • Cyber_Goth_Night

i love Crunchyroll but it need to be fix it kick me off if try to watch somthing else

  • Why do we have a PLAYSTATION blog for. When we all ask for something and you all don’t give a damm what we think or what we want. They need to get people that know what to do their jobs at SONY. You all say one thing and do something else.Like the vita you put the system to be a great thing to buy. But there is no games or good apps..SONY IN ORDER TO MAKE MONEY YOU HAVE TO SPEND IT.. lissen to what we want not what you think we want..

  • I hate to say it, but there really isn’t anything to interest me this week as a Plus member.
    Hey, it happens! :P

Instead of using this space to complain, I would like to ask a question if I can.

Is Pulse gone for good? I enjoyed that (along with Qore), but now that Qore is gone, killing off Pulse
seems like a really bad idea. These are the things that set Sony apart from the competition.
It was well produced and I always looked forward to it. Christina Lee being very hot had nothing to do with it (ok.. I lied).

Seriously though, you better start CPR because WE NEED A PULSE!!!

  • ALso, I haven’t been able to find ANYHERE..

Can someone please tell me if The Expendables 2 game has 4 player online Co-Op play for sure?

I figured it must being a Ubisoft game and a perfect style game for 4 player co-op (as Renegade Ops was),
but the descriptions only state “4-Player Co-op action” Instead of the
usual “4-Player Co-op local or online action”

The official “Key Features” doesn’t even once mention online compatible.
