Whatta week! Our trip to Gamescom was a fruitful one, as you’ll soon see, but it’s nice to be home in the good old US of A. I don’t have any big plans this weekend, aside from catching up on sleep, watching Breaking Bad, and making a desperate bid to finish Batman: Arkham City. Read on for the top 10 most-read PlayStation.Blog stories this week, a list that barely scratches the surface on PlayStation’s megaton Gamescom announcements.

      Just had to say what a PHENOMINAL time it is right now to have a PS3 and a Vita. You guys are making all of my gaming wishes and needs come true. You really know how and when to raise the bar and cater to your gamers. And yes before anyone asks, We also have a Xbox360, Wii, and a 3DS, but none of those systems have satisfied my need for quality EXCEPT for PS3. Vita is almost there but will have to see with the 1.80 update and all the “buy on PS3 and get Vita copy free” deals coming, plus PlayStation Plus coming to Vita…..the wait is KILLING me! Anywho…

      Sony for sure brought it for Gamescom. Loved everything that was announced. Excited for this year’s holiday gaming season. Next year looks outstanding already. That scream you hear in the background is my 2009-12 backlog…

      Why are you guys not promoting Legasista? It looks like a really fun game from the youtube trailer, but I would like a little more information on it. It comes out tuesday and you haven’t posted anything on it. Im playing Rainbow moon and Darksiders 2! Watching and reading nothing at the moment. Darksiders 2 is taking all my free time. Must get back to Darksiders 2, Death is not gonna level up by himself!

      The news from gamescom, especially the vita news was absolutely incredible! I hope this convines some skeptics that the vita is a quality gaming device. By the way Sid, how’s Kickbeat? I’ve been waiting for some more news about it, it looks very interesting.

        Yeah, haven’t heard an update on that one in some time. Without speaking with them personally, I couldn’t say what’s caused the wait, perhaps technical issues or the like.

      im waiting for ZP2 for ps3 .Official release date sept 4 . Lucky you get to try it out . I have knowed about kickbeat for a long time but zen made it a vita game only. also i was wondering why the playstation store blog doesn’t make the top10 ?

        Yeah, Zen Pinball 2 was sweet — I was able to pinch Jeff’s Vita for a few minutes to try it during our flight to Cologne. Very, very fun

      Hi, Sid. I completely missed that post about PS Plus for Vita. I guess it got lost in the high traffic on Tuesday. It’s been a fantastic week: all the new games shown @ Gamescon, especially Rain, the upgrades to cloud storage, Plus for Vita, the YouTube app on PS3, the best blog cast ever. Playstation killed this week.

      I’m reading (besides the blog everyday) Sorcerer’s Stone for the 9th time because now I can read the ebook on my new Sony Tablet P;

      I’m playing Quantum Conundrum & I’m stuck again!; just finished the Witcher 2 (yawn) so I’ve put aside my “other console” since it has no games;

      Watching: I finally saw Dark Knight Rises this week. You are so wrong about it. It was pretty good. The only things that bothered me were: how self-loathing is Bruce Wayne for taking up with a woman who left him to die; how the heck is Robin going to carry on without all the resources; & why was almost the entire cast of Inception in Gotham City?

      When I watched the Sony stream at Gamescom I was very impressed. I’m very excited about Cross buy, and Playstation Mobile, I think its great the PSM will also work on the PSVita. Things are looking up for gamers who enjoy Sony products!
