It’s a lot to take in so without further ado, let’s get into the preview for the August 28th and September 4th PlayStation Plus updates.

  • i can’t wait to play, since i never played it.

  • Not to be bothersome, but it’s almost 5 in the afternoon and there’s still no updates in the store. When are we getting Borderlands, damnit? I hope you’re taking long because you’re giving us the add-ons for free too!

Thanks for everything, Sony. But seriously, I agree with the comments about Borderlands being a half-assed solution to catching up with SCEE; it may be retail, but it’s still a title that most of us already had, probably because you had it on all kinds of sales before. It’s cool, for example, that not many people got to try Deus Ex or Dead Space 2, and they give them for free. Not to judge though, I dig Borderlands a lot… it’s just that you guys could do a little better, sometimes. To be honest the service is great, but alas, humanity is greedy. If you keep distancing yourselves from SCEE in a way that makes you look bad, comparisons and anger will arise. The service is GREAT. But it needs to be similar to what’s being offered in other regions if you want your fanbase to deem it so.

  • WHERES BORDERLANDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY WANT IT

  • that would be cool if the add-ons where free. but i think they are only giving them half off. they can’t offer the same stuff at the same time with other regions. Unless the the people who made the game say they can. but most don’t. and eu had more plus members anyway. I would not like to see red dead or Deus ex or dead space 2. But i can’t complain since i am getting free games. And the people who complain have no value for free stuff . even if they have it. a lot of people don’t. i never played it since money is always tight with me. So when i get something free i cherrish it.

  • Update !!!!! i cant wait

  • All that is true, Donkey. Plus is great regardless of regions, and the value of the service is amazing. It’s just too bad that we -or at least I- can help but compare.

But eh. Europe was behind for years, their store sucked balls. It’s cool that they’re getting better stuff now. And hey, I ain’t complaining. Take Bloodrayne for example: I’d never bought it myself. But omg does it rock.

The surprise factor in PS+ is awesome. If they were all retail games, there would be no surprise. What I mean to say is, if the games are good, bring em!

  • Guess they like to take there time updating things.

  • this waiting is torture

  • When is Borderlands coming to plus… i just bought a plus membership just 4 it and its not even there… feel like i got ripped off so far… i could’ve just saved my money…

  • Yeah, PSN always seems to update pretty late in the day. I’m used to it by now. I don’t usually go looking for the updates until 6 or 7 pm EST.

  • @Astro-Kitty let us know when its available :D

  • dont worry about that ROFL

  • it is free now so go play

  • i glade i downloaded the trail so mine is ready to play right away.

  • what they’ve should have done was finish adding all their updates and whatnot, then post the release date. that way, when the day does come, we all don’t have to sit around with our thumbs up our asses…. Been meaning to play Borderlands forever. was thinking about buying it, but hey, i can wait.

  • Finally… 30 min DL, seems legit.

  • Done!!!!!

  • Made1man2many: Yea, it’s an open world FPS, where you get quests to level up, get loot, put points in skill trees, etc etc. It’s got a ton of stuff to do, and it was so much fun when I played with friends on the PC. Highly recommend it!

  • cool cant wait 29% right now

  • Everytime i look at the UK PS+ updates, then the US ones it always disappoints me really makes it seem like there’s more value in being a Plus member if you live in the UK with the more relevant freebies to what people spending the money for plus subscriptions might not have bought yet. The past couple months of freebies have all been games I have (especially The Walking Dead -.-). As well it seems we only get one game that most everyone has, then discounts for games that are kind of meh.

  • Morgan,

Will any of the remaining Walking Dead episodes make their way to PlayStation Plus? Frankly, I’m more interested in seeing quality games than preferring full PS3 titles to PSN titles — and the Walking Dead is definitely worth playing a few times over. Borderlands is also a nice addition. I’m excited to see what Sony has in store for the Vita! Thanks for the update.

  • @SparkAvery – It’s highly unlikely we will see more episodes free in the near future. Having the first two episodes free was more strategic marketing, to get new people into the series. Still though, you save $10 off the regular price and $5 off the Season Pass, so it was well worth it overall.

  • Does anyone know if I purchase the discounted dlc pack if it will work smoothly with the PS+ free version and possibly the disc version of the game?

  • Borderlands is great, but I’m still jealous of the Euros.. Deus Ex, Red Dead Redemption, Dead Space 2? They’re blowing away the selection we’re getting.

  • @DarkEagle612: Yes, the DLC pack should work fine with any version of the game.

  • Boarderlands in downloading! I can’t wait to boot it up after work :)
