  • “Remember when we announced PSone support for PS Vita? Well, a good chunk of titles are now compatible with PS Vita. Check out yesterday’s blog post for a full list of everything you can download today.”

Yeah I do remember, wasn’t hard to remember 9 titles.Im sure I’ll remember that fail for a long time.

  • Not to be that guy and I’m sure I am not the only one who feels this way, but I am really getting tired of not getting free stuff. Main reason, other than online storage, for getting PlayStation Plus. It doesn’t have to be a game every week just throw us a bone on a couple free $0.49 avatars or a free $1.99 or $2.99 dynamic theme. Really would help keep the people happy.

  • wow not even those 9 psone classic titles download directly. Syphon Filter, arc the lad. those two will not download directly. care to help?

  • Just curious, is there any chance the PSP versions of Final Fantasy I & II will ever come out on PSN? I don’t know why North America’s PSN doesn’t have them, but they’re up on the Japanese and European PSNs.

    Thanks!

  • The Ratchet & Clank was briefly listed as was the other collections for 10% off for PS+ members. I guess that is something we can look forward to.

  • up with hope

    down with dope

  • Actually you can play more PSOne games on your vita that those 9. The trick is to get them downloaded to your ps3, leave them as balloon downloads (not install them in your ps3) and transfer them.
Although not all PSOne games will be working I have been playing Castlevania SOTN and Xenogears in my Vita.

  • I dont see how the digital versions are more than the physical copies. $15 for each Ratchet and clank which comes to $45 versus the physical copy for $30? Where is the logic in that?

  • So if i buy Madden NFL 13 for vita i get it for ps3 for free?

  • I can confirm Resident Evil: director’s cut working too

  • ALPHABETICAL SORTING FOR PSN GAME LIST IN OUR XMB IN A FUTURE FM UPDATE, PLEZ!

    PRETTY PLEAZ!

  • where is the Ratchet and Clank collection

  • Nice update. Can’t wait to play WD Ep. 3. Lol at those who think there are only nine PS One games compatible with Vita. Do some research.

  • LMAO you call 9 PS One games as “a good chunk?” Seriously????

  • I think you guys should put every single item that comes out in the store with a discount for PS+ users right off from the start, sometimes I’m disappointed to see some games I want that don’t have the discount. Also, I’ll never buy a digital version for a full retail price (60), so keep that in mind for your prices.

  • Only Walking Dead for me today but that’s okay – my copy of Project DIVA f for Vita will be arriving from Japan in the morning. :)

  • Figures, the day Madden comes out is when this goes up late. Now I’ll have to wait til after work tonight to download it. Man, a more structured time frame for updates would be so much better. o well, talking to the ether i guess.

  • I have a question about The Walking Dead. I haven’t watched the show yet, I’ve been meaning to give it a try for a while. I might try out Playstation Plus (I have a one month free trial I haven’t used yet) and get the first two episodes of the game while they’re still free. Is the game supposed to be like an episode of the show? I mean, if I watch the first few episodes of season one and then play the first episode of the game, will that spoil anything for me?

    • The story line of the game is separate, but some characters from the show do appear in the game. You don’t need to worry about spoilers too much, but it is cooler to watch the show and then play the games to see those cameos I mentioned earlier.

    • yeah. I mean, I’ve been playing the game and I’ve never seen the show, or read the comics, but it’s still been on of the best gaming experiences this year.

Also, you only have one more week to snag Walking Dead free as next week, Borderlands replaces it in Plus.

  • My VITA back to live!!!! If I have games like RE1, 2 and 3 . . . Castlevania . . . FFVII . . . i can play them now or not?

Borderlands is an amazing game for INSTANT COLLECTION but I already have it is so sad!!! I want something more please give us something amazing nex week!!

By the way . . . RECORD OF AGAREST ZERO OMG THANKS . . . now what do you think about?

ATELIER RORONA TOTORI and MERURU . . . the first Hyperdimension Neptunia! . . . TALES of … please I love this kind of games!!!

and please games for my children !!!

    GREAT UPDATE!!!

  • Great update for the most part. I feel bad for Vita owners as they waited so long for PS1 support to only get 9 titles. Here’s hoping more titles release rapidly. Walking Dead episode 3 is a sure thing on my end and I am definitely eyeing Psychonauts.

  • This update is depressing and pathetic. I spent the last two weeks telling myself that finally I would have something to play on my PS Vita. I wouldn’t be bored until November 20, 2012 when Persona should finally arrive.

I told myself the PS Vita was a great device and that my money was well-spent. I lied to myself, just as badly as you’ve lied to us, SCEA. SCEE and SCEJ get great titles but I can’t get a single Crash Bandicoot to play with? I grew up with a PS One and a PS2. If I would’ve known the Vita damn near required a PS3 to even be useful I would’ve just gotten a 3DS or rebuilt my dead PSP, and saved $100+.

You’re really treading on thin ice and if you don’t fix that soon, you’re going to lose a LOT of support.

  • Is part 3 of walking dead going to be free for plus eventually or no?

  • Good job letting me down SCEA. I was looking forward to this day for a good month and I was excited to finally being able to play games, that are very nostalgic to me, portably. Then i see the huge list of 9 for the US. This is probably the worst move I have seen yet in the vitas history, which is pretty embarrassing since it hasnt been that long of a history. So the SCEE seems to know how to deal with getting licenses since they can get the whole 100+ library day one. I dont have a ps3 either so my punishment seems even worse. Thanks Sony for listening.

  • What gives? The original store update post included:
“inFAMOUS Collection (10% Off) – PS Plus Price: $35.99
God of War Collection (w/God of War Origins) (10% Off) – PS Plus Price: $35.99
Ratchet & Clank Collection: Full Trilogy (10% Off) – PS Plus Price: $26.99”
.but now that is gone. Luckily I purchased the R&C collection from Amazon and I have it in my hands, but it would have been nice to have digital as well (the whole “jukebox style” game collection on my 1TB HDD). Well, maybe next week.

    • Unfortunately the collections were delayed for digital release, and therefore so are the discounts (which is why we removed them from the Plus post).

  • “THANKS FOR THE “WWE 13″:THE ATTITUDE ERA THEME GUYS.”

  • Sony, why does the God of War Saga collection disc have download vouchers for the Origins games? Why weren’t they included on the actual game disc? Why can’t I download PS1 games through the Vita’s store? Why do I HAVE to own a PS3 in order to use a feature that was touted for the longest time as a selling point for the system? Why did you lie to PSP Go customers like myself that all our downloadable games would be transferred over to the Vita?

Sony, YOU GAVE me your Vita for free as part of training, which in turn because I work in gaming retail I could sell to customers on the device better through my own experiences with it. How is this compelling me to help your company when you can’t even appease die-hard fans who have supported your properties? I don’t even own a PS3, but I’m supposed to tout that it can play PS1 games as long as you buy them on a PS3?

This just seems like a scam for people to have no choice but be forced to buy a PS3 for one section and a normal PSP or PSP Go for the other part of your library.

  • Great update this week but digital pricing is still a joke. I wish my fellow gamers would stop buying digital until you get your act together and make it the same price as physical media or pass some of the savings to us and make it slightly less.

  • There is at least 70+ PS One titles compatible with Vita right now. Not 9.

  • There are dozens of PS1 games that actually work on Vita, if you transfer them from PS3. It’s dumb that you need a PS3 though. There’s no excuse for not putting these PS1 Classics on the Vita store. Come on SCEA, what the hell is wrong with you.

  • so many over priced games, and yet the only thing worthwhile is walking dead ep 3 and i used up my account funds because i heard it was being delayed intel next month… what a bummer

  • When is this update?
Have been waiting like all day for this, and it has yet to come.

  • 15 for each ratchet and clank? lol well anybody who buys it from the store is a fool it costs more here so go to gamestop sony once again trolling

  • Nothing good for plus members this week. At least I will be picking up the Walking Dead episode 3.

  • Why does PS3 Peace Walker HD cost less than PSP Peace Walker “Low Definition”? Why does MGS2 & 3 cost less than their lower resolution Vita counterparts? Why, Sony, why? (not that I expect an answer)

  • Uuuuuu resident evil 6 wallpaper! Nice

  • Me too eggmeister lol

  • Im having trouble downloading syphon filter on to my vita. i click download and it brings me to a list and says cant be downloaded

  • Where’s GOW Saga?

  • The vita will play any ps1 Classic as long as you import it through your ps3. So I would say vita has a lot of love today. Just make sure you update to the new firmware.

  • Record of Agarest War Zero!!!

why is there a Peace Walker HD edition if there’s already the original Peace Walker on PSN “-_____-

  • ps+ is a joke so is ps store it’s only good for add ons you can get games cheaper at amazon or gamestop it would be nice to have demo’s for good games

  • I updated to 1.80, but cannot import the games from my PS3 to the PS Vita, he just don’t let me. Don’t know why, but it just don’t find anything at all, as if i had no games at all on my HD.

  • Can someone tell me how much space the mass effect 3 dlc takes?

  • Meh… I’m going to wait for a while to see if they offer walking dead episode 3 free for plus members… :/

  • Nice update!!

Spelunker HD and Space Channel Part 5 are amazing games and for that price, damn.

And now with Record of Agarest War Zero the 3 Agarest games are on PSN, that is awesome, but as someone said I’ll never pay full retail price for a digital version, so Agarest 2 will have to wait.
