yeah i called psn support and they pretty much gave me the run around. they said they’d forward the request and i might get the money back in 15 days or so. they also let me know that as per the the psn user agreement, all purchases are final. wonderful. i only want the 10 dollar refund so i can purchase 20 dollar content. why don’t they give these support reps a basic amount of money to negotiate with when it comes to things like this. 15 days….really? is there a review board? lol oh well. this experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth and turns me off to spending more money on psn.

Has anyone at Sony noticed or realized that Mirror’s Edge is now $15 on the store, and the DLC for the game is still $9.99? Maybe you guys want to start considering lowering the price of four year old DLC at some point.

Quick question regarding the Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC discounts: Are these permanent price drops? Or are they temporary sale prices? I would love to hear back soon before any offers might expire!! ^^

Guys, stop and think about this for a moment. Regardless of what Kristine is allowed to tell us, it’s very obvious that FFIII works perfectly on Vita. Dozens of people playing it as we argue attests to that. So the whole “we need to make sure it’s compatible” is clearly BS.

So what other reason could Sony have for blocking it? What’s the same reason they suddenly pulled a few other games that had been working just fine?

It’s because either somebody found an exploit in the game, or Sony realized that it could be exploited even before the hackers did, or possibly Sony just realized that no one had checked to see if it was exploitable or not, and blocked it to give themselves time to check that out and be certain. I’d guess it’s most likely that last one, since it wasn’t available long enough for news of it being exploited to have gotten back to Sony.

“Making sure it works properly on Vita,” my butt. It’s more like “making sure no one can use a perfectly working game to do something we don’t want you doing.”

Could you take your buttkissing elsewhere and let the adults talk please?

Calling dozens of people “trolls” because you don’t like the topic is just absurd.

Obviously compatibility was an on/off, had you bothered to read.

Again, Sony does not like Vita owners. I hope to learn why someday.

I downloaded GTA III last night, and was very surprised at the quality. It looks nice and clear, almost HD type quality. I can’t wait to see the quality of Vice City. Thanks Sony for finally releasing it. To anyone thinking of buying it, it’s definitely worth $9.99. Can’t wait to get playing it again. It’s gonna be awesome. Only thing that would make it perfect is trophies. But maybe they’ll release a better version down the road, who knows. Only thing I found wrong with it is when you watch the cut scene at the start of the game, the picture really blurs as they’re running out of the bank. I tried shutting off the smoothing, thinking maybe that was the problem, but didn’t seem to make much difference. Ah well. Thanks Sony, and Rockstar. Can’t wait for future releases.

Vita

Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational – $19.99
Little Deviants – $19.99
ModNation Racers: Road Trip – $19.99
Reality Fighter – $19.99
Resistance: Burning Skies – $29.99
Uncharted: Golden Abyss – $39.99
Unit 13 – $29.99
Wipeout 2048 – $19.99

So, Kristin: Why hasn’t Wipeout 2048 or any of the OTHER portable titles been price-dropped to the RETAIL price on PSN? Why do I have to pay MORE for a digital copy of Wipeout 2048? I want to play the game, and I don’t want to buy a retail cart. So, that leaves me the option of a) paying more than the retail cart or b) not buying it.

Hmmm… gee… which option am I going to pick since Sony won’t price-drop something they PRICE DROPPED IN RETAIL a month back?

And before you give the excuse of “well it’s the third parties choice,” Wipeout/Uncharted and all the above are published by you guys/Sony. So that really doesn’t fly.

Price-drop Wipeout and Uncharted already. I have money waiting right here for you guys but until you price-drop to match retail it isn’t being bought.

I guess I just don’t understand the point of pre-ordering on the PSN if it’s not going to be a midnight release. If we have to wait until the whole store updates to get our game (like NBA2k13 tonight) I think for the most part it’s worth grabbing a hard copy from a retail store at their midnight release or early the next day. i mean i like the idea of saving a few extra dollars on the digital release (i’m a playstation plus member), but the time delay to wait for the store to update. then download the game. just seems a bit much. maybe i’m making a mountain out of a molehill, but is it so difficult to set the time for a single digital release to be 12:00am in different regions?

long story short i preordered thinking it was a decent deal and i would get to play as soon as i downloaded the game at midnight. now waiting impatiently for the store update to roll out (could be as late as 7pm eastern by some accounts of previous updates?)

Okay, call me stupid if you will, but I just realized I wasted 10 bucks buying the online pass for Starhawk because despite being in the Playstation+ section, it won’t actually unlock multiplayer for the Solo campaign that Playstation+ members get. No, I have to spend 20 for the multiplayer separate download, which is not stated anywhere! In the future, you guys should make sure its plainly stated that the online pass won’t work with certain games.

It would have been nice to know beforehand that pre-ordering Dishonored doesn’t allow you to even begin downloading the game until tomorrow at 7pm. So that plus a 9 gig download/install, and I might as well have just gone to a store and bought it.

+ TheInsaneSamurai on October 9th, 2012 at 8:03 am said:

PSN customer service is amazingly bad. I’ve dealt with them before and they basically told me that I was responsible for an internet error that cost me 20 bucks. They also kindly informed me that I did have a way to get my money back, which was to dispute the charges on my credit card which would result in me getting banned. So knowing that I guess calling them for a refund is pretty much out of the question. It’s just amazing that they can so openly treat customers like crap and nobody cares.
