  • Where is the list of PS Mobile games?

  • This question will probably be left unanswered but it doesn’t hurt to try: will we ever see Gran Turismo 1-4 for download on PSN? I’m a big fan of the series and even though I own physical copies of the entire series, I’d love to have it available for download.

  • @101, hey, how about throwing .hack digital for ps3/vita on that list, id like to see that.

any chance we will get ff3 this week?

  • cant wait to buy resident evil but no money. chris’ side of the story was almost like cod but way better. cod sucked. and the demo was awsome.

  • Is the saturn remake called “Nights: Into Dreams” like the original, or is it called “Nights: Journey of Dreams”?

Is it so hard to proofread?

  • There are so many good PSX/PS2 classics out there, but it would’ve been better, in my opinion, if all versions of PS3 were backwards-compatible with PS2 games.

In other news, Resident Evil 6! Time for some nightmares~

  • yo number 6 i feel u bring capcom vs snk 2 on psn n make online also do def jam fight for ny like that too it would sell!!!!!

  • @84 Elvick_, are you really that stupid or is this an act?

  • @106 Journey into Dreams was more like a sorta-sequel, sorta-remake. From what I understand this is the original one with updated graphics and everything.

  • I’m intersted in new little king’s story, but I just might have to wait on reviews, not to mention the price point.

BTW: is the battle real -time action, or turn-based?

  • Is Twisted Metal & Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 every coming to PSN? Plus Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Island and Namco Museums as PSone classics. I know that sounds silly but I would love to play them on the Vita.

  • Love me some Retro!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • re PS1 titles, Kristine Steimer said in last week’s drop (09/25),
“Not sure why there weren’t any this week, but we are still working on bringing more PS1 titles to Vita. There will be more next week!”

    Not seeing any here, Rey…

  • @114: Since when have PS1-to-Vita titles been included in the Drops? They always only show up when the store gets updated each tuesday.

  • @Sevyne,

The difference between Elvick_ and the nonstop complainers is Elvick_ knows what (s)he’s talking about, and Elvick_ isn’t acting like a hateful little child throwing a temper tantrum.

And Elvick_ has every right to say that, in fact more so since (s)he is actually correct about the fact that releasing PS2 games on PSN isn’t just a matter of deciding to do so. It’s not even in Sony’s control; they need permission from the publisher of the game. The game also needs to be tested and configured in the emulation system they use for these PS2 downloads. THAT isn’t cheap.

There is a proper way to ask Sony to release specific classics on PSN, and if you kids would follow the forum rules and: stop flooding; stop posting the exact same lists others have already posted; quit the petty name calling; stop antagonizing others on the forum; stop posting using multiple accounts; and most importantly, “DON’T BE A JERK”‘ then there’d be no problem.

As Sony reps have stated multiple times, if you really want a classic, you should go to the publisher and developer and ask them to get it rereleased on PSN.

    Cheers.

  • @116

Brace yourself, the haters are coming.

  • @Ryumoau,

    > @84 Elvick_, are you really that stupid or is this an act?

Name-calling is childish and petty. Are you being a jerk on purpose, or are you just wired that way? Please, try to be civil. This isn’t digg or reddit or whatever cesspit is popular these days.

  • This is what people need:
    – Dark Cloud
    – Dark Cloud 2
    – Digital Devil Saga
    – Digital Devil Saga 2
    – Dragon Quest VIII
    – Final Fantasy X
    – Final Fantasy X-2
    – Final Fantasy XII
    – Grandia 2
    – Rogue Galaxy
    – Shadow Hearts
    – Shadow Hearts: Covenant
    – Shadow Hearts: From the New World
    – Star Ocean 3
    – Suikoden IV
    – Suikoden V
    – Tales of Legendia
    – Tales of the Abyss
    – Valkyrie Profile 2
    – Wild Arms 3
    – Wild Arms 4
    – Wild Arms 5
    – Xenosaga
    – Xenosaga II
    – Xenosaga III

    (HELL YEAH!)

  • I’ve come up with a new acronym for Resident Evil 6. ‘RINO’ – ‘Resident evil In Name Only’.

What? What do you mean it’s already taken?

  • Nothing new for me this week. Busy with Borderlands 2 and LBP Vita, and preparing for Dishonored next week!

  • @32, I assume you mean Full Game Trial when you said demo. Yes, if you buy the disc version of the game, the first time you play it all the trophies you unlocked in the trial will unlock – no unlock alerts will appear, but view your trophies and you will see they are now unlocked and added to your overall trophy tallies.

I’ve done this many times; I use the Full Game Trial feature to make purchase decisions frequently. It’s a hell of a lot better than making decisions based on reviews from the mainstream gaming media.

  • @117,

Well, the way I see it, if they direct their vile crap towards me, they’ll not be insulting others on the forum, which is exactly my goal anyway :)

  • Good drop. I actually prefer re4 and 5 to the others because i didn’t like the tank like controls, and having to save ribbons to save. If anyone knows how many gigs re6 will be please let me know. Thankyou.

  • Oh man, finally! Sonic Adventure 2 gets it’s re-re-release! I can’t wait for that one, buying as soon as I can, along with the Battle DLC. Probably my favorite Sonic game in the entire series after S3&K*. Just kinda wish it had online support for multiplayer races.

*I’ve read a few things that say there is issue between Sony and Sega, so we won’t be seeing a Sonic 3 and Knuckles lock on release. Hope this gets resolved one day if it is indeed true.

  • Glad to see Nights coming ! Now who is putting these PS2 titles in the lineup and calling these games classic ! Some of these games I have never heard of ! Give us some quality PS2 games or leave em out ! This is why folks like BC ! We can play our own PS2 games !

  • Let’s see nights, sonic and new lks all this week what a great drop. If wii u can hook up an external hdd i’d prefer to have all my psn and full digital games stored on an external hdd while game installs, map packs, other dlc, music, apps like netflix etc are stored internally.

That would free up my hdd and of course it would all be tied to my master account even on an external drive though this way you could take the external drive from ps3-ps3 and your master account would be like a lock n key allowing play on ANY ps3 up to 5 systems.

Just a thought as not everyone has 500+gb hdd’s and simply pluging in a hdd through usb should make storage issues a thing of the past.

  • Remember for some reason everything’s bigger on ps3 or @ least un compressed.

  • For anyone who doesn’t know Christmas nights is included with nights into dreams.

Christmas nights was a special version of nights some even considered it better than nights itself.

“We are working hard to ensure that all of your favorite PS one Classics titles will be available for download directly on your PS Vita via PlayStation Store (PS Store) as soon as possible.”

    huh ?

  • RESIDENT EVIL 6 IS GOING TO BE BADASS!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! DeLiciouS

  • out of all the days for my ps3 system to go into a coma it choose to go into a comathe day before resident evil 6, and in a month where i have paid off over 5 day 1 retail releases. :( by coma i mean it looks fine, i hit power switch then it flashes colors to green yellow then blinking red, and remains that way unless i hit power button again a few mins later and that stops blinking.

  • The Green Yellow Blinking Red!!! Sorry to tell you but call Sony. Your system needs serviced due to a power failure issue. It happened two me twice. If you have no warranty your cost of repair depends on model type. My E-01 was 126.00 to repair.

Now my thoughts of why Innocent Life is being released. Its already available for PSP/PS Vita, so Sony already had the bugs from the port fixed. In Addition, last month the Harvest Moon games and Innocent Life for PSP was on sale at 50% to possibly increase sales numbers to warrant a PS2classic version.

The game isn’t bad, but having it on PSP/PS Vita format, l’m not rushing for the PS2 port

  • hurry and release Sonic Adventure 2 battle !! also some DLC of different chao breeds would be wonderful

  • Can you please get Final Fantasy III authorized for PS Vita, SCEA? Considering that there haven’t been any reported issues with the game running on Vita, and that Square itself was promoting it as Vita ready, the least that can be done is keeping us consumers up to date on where everything stands on the matter. A hair more transparency on the matter would be appreciated, considering that some bought a game they can’t play.

  • what time can we expect the day 1 downloads to be up… i want to play my nba 2k asap.

  • Really loving the content coming from the PSN these days. Compared to late ’07, it’s like the flood gates have opened. That said, one thing I would really like to see is some of the harder to find PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games coming to the PSN i.e. Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Devil Summoner and so on. Outside of that I am a huge fan of the content and the PS+ perks.

  • I pre-ordered NBA 2K13 through the PlayStation Network and I was wondering do we get the Allstar Week DLC from pre-ordering through the PlayStation Network as we would if we had pre-ordered it from a store or do we only get the theme

  • Oh hey, I guess Final Fantasy III is now playable on Vita again, like they originally said it would be.

  • Elvick is a rude, pretentious, brown nosing moron who dosen’t know what they are talking about.

That said, TheTrainJob was much more civil in his response so I will explain the reason why he and Elvick are mostly wrong. The fact is, Sony has the rights to digitally release most of the games people listed. In fact, many of those listed already exist in the PSN store…in Japan.

Like all companies nowadays, Japan sees an amazing plethoa of digital releases of old games, in this case PS1 and PS2. NA dosen’t even have a fraction of what Japan has. It’s like the 3DS with their Virtual Console. Japan and Europe get amazing games for it monthly, while NA hardly sees any.

I guess the NA branches think that old games “won’t sell well” in NA, but judging from all the people complaining, they obviously couldn’t be farther from the truth. I suppose the “need” to market shovelware, and “center attention” to the big name, overrated releases in NA also plays a role in these stupid business decisions.

So there is really no legitimate reason why we get random garbage like Ruff Trigger (never even heard of it) and Spongebob Squarepants, while Japan gets great games like Dark Cloud and Samurai Warriors 2.

  • Oh and in case anyone thinks “marketing to kids” as a possible reason? I don’t think kids or their parents would turn to the PS2 classics for games. Even in the unlikely event that they do, It’s certainly not a bigger profit then marketing to people that want old games (just look at the in-store ratings of Legend of Dragoon and other REAL PS1 games, not the sports and random crap like Centipede 3D)

So yeah, less River King (i picked up this “classic” once for 5 dollars in a discount store and got tired of it in less then an hour) and more Saga Frontier. I’m a huge fangirl of that game and I’m sure it would sell well here judging from all the RPG-starved people. My biggest PS1 classic wish *sigh*

  • Sorry, last comment: by in-store ratings I mean the number of ratings, btw. You have to buy the game to make a rating, so you can get a general idea of how well a game sells just by that alone. Just think of all the people who bought and didn’t rate on top of that!

  • I also desperately want more PSOne games to play on my Vita. I don’t have a PS3, and I never had a Playstation or PS2 (was always a Sega guy). Believe it or not Sony, I bought the Vita to replace my PSP and play some PS1 (and hopefully PS2) games. I never used the PSN Store on my old PSP, and I’m finding out it’s not what I thought.

After I traded in my huge collection of UMDs with my PSP, I find out that even though I’m stupidly willing to re-buy the games all over again, I can’t. The best rated PSP driving game, Motorstorm, is unavailable although I read they patched the exploit awhile ago, and most of the other highest rated PSP games are also not available (Crisis Core, Capcom Collections, Silent Hill Origins, etc.).

  • It seems like there are only a few people working on releasing this stuff for the Vita, and the fact that Sony doesn’t have a list of upcoming releases for PSOne games tells me they place very little importance on it. I hope that if enough people say how they want to give Sony money, they’ll only put a few more people to work testing PSP and PSOne games for Vita compatibility and put them into the PSN Store. Why not put up a checklist of PSP and PSOne games, and let fans decide which games they release next?

  • Thank you for finally getting Final Fantasy 3 transferable to the PSVita. Could you also do the same for other PSP games not yet available? I’d like to get MGS Portable Ops and the ModNation Racers game (given for free after the hack) on my PSVita aswell. Also, how about adding the working PSP games to the store too? And if its not too much to ask, could you ask developers to release digital copies of their games? We`re still waiting on Square-Enix to release Crisis Core and FF1 & FF2 Aniversery Editions.

  • Patiently waiting for the store to update

  • You guys made a mistake. “Nights Journey of Dreams” is the sequel on the Wii. “Nights into Dreams” is the original Sega Saturn version. Go check the top of this post again where you first mention the game.

  • anxiously waiting for the store to update O_o
