Resident Evil 6
It’s officially October, which means our latest store promotion is in full swing. If you spend $100 this month you’ll receive a $20 PSN credit in November. Even better, if you already pre-ordered an October title last week, that money counts toward this promotion.

This week both NBA 2K13 and Resident Evil 6 are hitting the PlayStation Store the same day as retail. Remember, there are still a few titles you can pre-order to receive an exclusive theme and a discount if you’re a Plus member. In case you missed picking it up before, LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 is also available on the Store today.

    I’m having the same problem with Pocket Fighter as well. I only bought it because it said it was compatible with the Vita. Please look into it Sony.

    Other than that, nice update (Especially with Nights). Now please look into getting us Crash and Spyro. :)

    Hey.
    First of all i would like to thank you for adding more PS One games to the PSV library.
    Now time for a request and a question:)
    Both questions concern PS Vita
    1) If it’s possible make bought games visible from the main window of the category (like PS One titles marked as bought instead of visible pricing) or at least modify the “download list” window so it could not close after hitting “download” button and/or make the window remember the position where it was last time because it is very annoying as it is right now.
    2) When we could expect GTA Vice City Stories, Liberty City Stories (both PSP titles) and Silent Hill (PS One title) available for the PSV?

    For those having trouble with nfl blitz.

    I’m currently dling it so I’ll see what happens.

    Try changing things up on an install retry? Sign out, msgs off, or any of those other little things that sometimes cause game bugs?

    Old system having trouble with it?

    Hopefully my copy works but if it doesn’t I’ll mention it here too.

    Wow nice, NFL Blitz doesn’t even work. European PS+ members are busy playing all their great AAA titles while we get crap PSN games that don’t even work!

      For now go to Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection > Disable and play offline. Not an ideal solution, but it will get you playing until we can figure out the problem and fix it.

    FINAL FANTASY III is now transferable to PSVita from the PS3. It is not yet available on the PSVita store. It cannot be downloaded from the Download List.

    Great update with PSOne classics. I wish PSP games would get some more love on being added to the store aswell…

    I have a question for NBA 2k. It says if i buy it i have to sign in wih the the psn i bought it with to play the game. What if i decide to make a new psn account, will i be able to play it still? and also will my brother be able to play it on his account on the same PlayStation?

    The game downloads fine….but when you go to start the game, it gives the “EA Sports…it’s in the game” splash screen, and then freezes on the start-up screen.

    I have tried re-installing and downloading 3 different times, shutting off and rebooting the console, same thing every time. I even left the start-up screen on for 10 minutes to make sure it wasn’t just a slow loading game…nothing.

    There are also others on your own Facebook page experiencing the same issues.

    First of all, the PSOne classics in this update alone are enough to make it fantastic. There are enough stellar PSOne games at reasonable prices to make the Vita a very desirable platform.

    Second, the Digital prices may not need to be lower for Vita games, rather they should reflect the current market price of the games. I’m talking about UMvC3 @ $39.99. Ridiculous. Other games are more fair (LBP @ $34.99)

    Third, you’ve done such a great job making content available, but a subar job of marketing it, at least on Vita. Why can we not view streaming videos of games in the psn store to see what a game is like? You can in Nintendo’s Shop. The same goes for images. Just some descriptive text is not very convincing for buying a game.

    Thanks Sony, I am quite happy if you continue to provide digital distribution options like this.

    Will we be able to pre-order ACIII: Liberations for PS Vita soon since it already is up as a bundle?

    Also when are we getting more PSP games for PS Vita? such as Socom: Fire Team Bravo 3, ModNation Racers PSP and MGS: Peace Walker? some of these work by transferring from PS3 to PS Vita, but should be up on the Store. Or are you guys officially done with getting more PSP game support for PS Vita?

    Dear God!
    What has sony done!! The Final Fantasy PSX games, plus the chrono games, plus xenogears all in one drop! This is madness! Perhaps the sleeping Giant (Sony/Vita) may yet awaken (okay so these are playstation games but seriously! They’re still better than most new games for any system and better if you never got to beat them!)

    I was really excited about some of the PSOne Classics and not to Mention Sonic Adventure which is one of my favorite games XD I might even pick up Nights since I never got the chance to play it the first time around :) The plus update however was disappointing I’d like to get some of the games off the Full Game Trials list like they get over in EU.

    Plus has been less interesting to me this and last month. A lot of the original 12 in the instant game collection were pretty great. Most of the ones that have rolled in lately haven’t done much for me. We don’t play M’s or some T’s (Borderlands… Double Dragon were too much). We like classic, but Alex Kidd may be more classic than we care for. We don’t really play sports games either. Outland, renegade ops, and hard corps: uprising, were great. Always happy to see quality family titles too. It’s tough to please everybody. Just keep it balanced, please. thanks!

    Greatest update I ever seen for vita
    Scea really put a love for vita extremely in this end of the year season

    Surely not for my bank account…
    Little king story already got the disc (reg3) cause no disc on reg1 with the same price. I so I already know it will be that price anyway. But I thought it will be 35$ not 39$.

    For the best part are the monstrous and marvelous psone update. I I really dunno which to buy first now that my time is mainly for the little king. Buy it guys, others than lag he’ll its very Worthed the price.

    And the demo for vita are nice. Aside from sports, I really want to try all vita game ever made so mostly I got everything… If just lbp is released sooner I would grab it too, but with teams of great games until end of the year I’ll postpone it

      I don’t think Ubi is sharing info on the DLC just yet. You can always pre-order the regular version though!

      To answer your other question, you cannot cancel a pre-order on PSN (also it’s really a pre-purchase situation).

    Why wasn’t more Tokyo Jungle DLC released today? It’s very painful (especially for someone like me with OCD) seeing those red locks and question marks, saying “purchase on playstation store” but you are unable to. Please release the rest of the animals next week. It sold over 600 downloads in it’s first week in NA, I’m sure that’s enough to warrant the DLC being released at a speedy rate.

    The costumes are slightly less painful since they aren’t RIGHT THERE in your face waiting to be unlocked, but those still need to all be released here soon as well.

    about the digital pricing yeah its a rip off id rather buy the discs (to re-sell) i do i dont need copies of it cause im the only one who plays games in my house and have the only system

    as for the complaining about the free stuff for plus i dont but i do feel cheated when im american and the europeans all point and laugh at us for not getting cooler games lol

    i do think we should have some sort of plan told to us so we know what games we can get that month and the less psn titles the better we need the mainstream stuff Red Dead Redemption is one i want but since its October i think it should be scary games Silent Hill, Doom, Resident Evil, Any Zombie game etc. lol who doesnt love Halloween?

    Another disaster update, while EU+ got 8 new games (full games) last month we got BS from sony, and to make things worst this is the EU+ games:

    – Hell Yeah! Wrath of Dead Rabbit no hay fecha
    – BulletStorm – 10 de octubre
    – Resident Evil 5 Gold EDITION – 10 de octubre

    What do we get? Nothing, NFL Blizt (another horrible PSN game) and zero news about what’s next. The hell yeah game its already out, and we have to paid to play it, europe of course got it for free. I want my money back, i’ve been a plus subscribers SINCE the begining of the service and i’ve never been so disapointed with like i am now, sony absolutely drop the ball with US+, i wish i could get my money back, DONT subscribe to Plus US, instead if you want something worth your money go to the EU+.
    Btw, the blog is also A LOT better over there, since they give you info of what they’re gonna offer to the plus members, that info is missing in this US blog, but i can understand why, you guys have nothing to offer besides half games, or 2 episodes of a 5 episode series, or maybe horrible PSN games. Nice.

    @231 I’m starting to suspect maybe there is a Final Fantasy V remake in the works and Square-Enix doesn’t want people to buy the PS1 version for the Vita at this time. Shouldn’t be any reason why FF6 works and FF5 doesn’t.
