Even better, if you’re a PlayStation Plus Member you’ll receive 10% off the purchase price during launch week. If that’s not to your liking, there’s also DOOM 3 BFG Edition, complete with DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil and the Lost Mission. Hi all:

I usually don’t comment on this blog, but I HIGHLY recommend the game COSTUME QUEST.
Looks are very deceiving; it is such a fantastic (if basic) RPG, and the attention to detail by Tim Shafer (sp) and his team, are TOP NOTCH!

heres my question,
why is it the EU and Jp stores have games in them that we dont have over here in the usa. Seems like we are getting the screw job here. If a game gets released, shouldnt it be fair to release it everywhere at the same time or is it that sony is holding out on us to make a little more money.

Case in point would be Final fantasy games. Like the other user said, the anniversary edition has been out for years over there but still not here. ALSO, what is going on with final fantasy 3, last i heard, it was “fixed” from vita users being able to play it, but im a 1/4 threw it on my friends vita who downloaded it no problem and there have been no problems at all. So can we get an update on both these issues. Id really like to hear sony’s reasons for not giving us the same games and still not “un-fixing” the vita lockout of ff3

Okay that makes sense. Looks like I’ll be filling up my wallet again lol.

I’m maybe a dollar off from satisfying that promotion.

@290 TwinDad

Great that makes it easy then. Thanks for the response!

Also, I just want to say that New Little King Story is a fantastic game. I wish it was promoted more. Even with the frame rate issues, the game is amazing and I’m really enjoying it. I wish there was a demo so more people would check it out, since I can understand that making a $40 USD gamble is pretty steep for some people.

So is it true that Sony is so intent on killing the PSP to save the struggling PSVita that they will not allow NBA 2K13 (PSP) into the online store?

Well, that’s my theory since the moderators here have refused to answer the simple question now for a couple of weeks.

I’m pretty interested in the Orcs & Men game … will be checking reviews for it & watch for a sale in the months ahead …. at it’s current price, I would appreciate having a physical copy …. absolutely loving the Walking Dead series … can hardly wait for ep 5 …. for things like that when you have the seasons pass, it would be nice if the PS3 downloaded the new episode automatically – since it is prepaid . hoping we get the seasons pass option for next years batch of the undead …. can hardly wait . I know this might be wishing for too much, but since the physical set of the series launches 1st week of Dec. ep 5 must be close to finished, would be a FANTASTIC Halloween treat to get the season finale on the Oct. 30th update …. dare to dream ! thanks for the incredible Halloween discounts ! snagged 4 games & saved a bundle ! my son says thanks. :-)

For the life of me I cant figure out why Final Fantasy 3 psp vita functionality was pulled and isn’t available for the vita yet. People who got it early are already playing it on the vita… it works, what is the major hold up?

A nice update and some great discounts! I’m especially looking forward to the Unfinished Swan. It seems like the Resident Evil titles would be a natural fit for a halloween update, though. I would have loved to see a discount on the Chronicles HD collection!

the Doom BFG thing is NOT really worth it, Doom 3′s graphics are only slightly tweaked, NOT remastered. That is a LIE. and expensive lie… I am gonna want my Money back. Doom 1&2 are in 4:3 aspect ratio, at least make it fir to screen, PC version does… lazy uninspiring game.. DON’T GET DOOM BFG. at least not on ps3 or the other box.. PC version is The ONLY version that got 100% remastered.. this is a watered down port. online SUCKS big time in this game. horrible lag, bad spawning areas..

whats Dokuro and why all the complaining? there are other places to complain, your bathroom, a pub, a hole in the ground… Really don’t care for this game and just don’t care for whino’s.

@253 You are so right. When something gets released in one country or contenent its fair that it should be released every where else. Example, wake up club. I think it got released in hong kong and ive been waiting for wake up club ever since i had the vita. Im really getting angry now, and i dont know what it will take to let sony know that we want wake up club, and not only that, but everything else that other countrys are getting.

@shakatak12

Each country has different laws and a legal system. They also have different license agreements with the game publisher, which in many cases differ in each region. Just because Atlus Japan says okay, doesn’t mean that Atlus USA said okay. Addition they have to license the music and voice actors for each region. It’s very complicated and it’s not as easy as the internet makes it seem.

Add to that the ESRB type of rating system that needs to happen to each region. Some games might require e reprogram to go from a “M” game to a “T” game. “AO” games are not big sellers in the US with a few exceptions, so they might not want to bring out a game based on the rating, if their game falls under that category.

I’d however still like to see at least a press release/PR saying game “xxx” will not release in the US anytime soon due to something.

“When we do a poll, we want to make sure it’s well thought out and not doing one just to do one. We don’t just want to humor you guys, so we have to be careful to make sure we’ve thought out what to ask you guys in a holistic way.”

Giving an A (grade) for that view. Better to have meaningful polls than random junk to mildly amuse some of us.

However, it’s an A+ for using the word ‘holistic’.

That is all.

Finish adding PSP compability support for the PS Vita. At the very least, we should be able to transfer PSP games from PS3 to PS Vita like MGS: Peace Walker. Also add PSP DLC support as well :(

Morgan,

Dokuro is only slated for release in the US? Since when? I’ve had a PS3 from DAY one and this is the first that I’ve seen or can remember about a game getting a “North America” release that does not get released in Canada.

This is a lame excuse. Playstation support can’t even find the game on their internal US catalogue, so I suggest you do some more ‘investigating’ and come up with a better answer than that – because its incorrect.

Between this, the lack of Vita support for new PSP games on release day and the constant issues myself and many other have when attempting to use credit cards on the PSN (works about 1/2 the time – SAME CARD, just completely random with when it works), I’m seriously concerned for Sony’s future in the digital age.

I’ve never had to fight so much with a company for them to TAKE MY MONEY. Next gen I’ll just spend it somewhere else, apparently.

Hey there,

I emailed around asking for help with this today and got no responses. I’ve been having a problem accessing the Playstation All Stars Beta despite having a strong internet connection. The “searching for opponents” menu repeatedly freezes and will not allow me to actually enter the game, despite the fact that I can play other games online easily. Do you have any advice for me so that I can actually experience this content? Thanks very much.

I’m very suspicious. nothing like this has ever happened to me before ….

Not happy with Plus lately. Too many fighting games and the bigger games that are added just are not to my taste. (aside: I did like that the Playstation All-Stars beta was added though).

I wish we’d get games like Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath, Resident Evil 4, and maybe an rpg or stradegy rpg (never did play Diseaga for the PS3).

I have to admit that the games & the themes are what I look at the most. Those two things will be the deciding factors for me when Plus is up for renewel in December. Not sure if I will renew…

As for this Update in general, I was disappointed that there were no demos. I’m not sure about the Unfinished Swan, so I would like to see a demo of that. Also hoping we get Assassin’s Creed 3 & Epic Mickey 2 demos.

Anyway, sorry these comments are so negative. I like the idea of Playstation Plus & demos. I think both are great ideas for the PS3. I hope you’ll continue them and we’ll see some cooler stuff in the future.

Thanks for reading my comments. :)

I have a quick question about preordering AC3 from the PSN store does only the EU region have the ability to start downloading the preorders 2 days in advance and are they the only ones that get the A Dangerous Secret mission also? Since I noticed after that what I was looking at was the EU blog and I haven’t seen any mention of these things here. Also one more thing if we don’t have these things here in NA could you ask if they could add the preorder mission to NA preorders also and if possible add the ability to download the game 2 days earlier too since it would make preorders a lot more appealing since you could just start playing midnight of the release with a downloaded copy instead of waiting forever for the store to update then start the download then wait for it to finish.

Im curious as to why sony kisses gamestops A__ and yet sony openly attacks used game sales.bullmoose music is our store of choice here. gamestop SUCKS A__!!!!!!! they should not get all the exclusive pre-order bonuses. online passes are a sick joke. and why did sony lie to use about the Vita? they say new memory cards to prevent piracy but thats false. the cards they make cost no more to make than a micro sd cards but since its exclusive they can charge u 4 times as much for it which they do :) supposebly we get 5$ off buying vita games from the store becuz of this but as u noticed that didnt last long so it turned out to be a lie as well all games are now the same price. kinda wierd since they dont pay so much for marketing of online material saves them a bundle and goes right into there pocket. ill never be a suck up fan boy when i see stupidity i call u on it.
