The Drop: Week of October 29th 2012 New Releases

On PS3 this week, it’s a time of civil unrest and political upheaval in the Americas. As a Native American assassin fights to protect his land and his people, he will ignite the flames of a young nation’s revolution. Assassin’s Creed III takes you back to the American Revolutionary War, but not the one you’ve read about in history books. On PS Move, Sports Champions 2 revives favorite features, including the surprisingly deep and challenging single-player Cup Play and the customizable Free Play mode, plus fun arcade Challenge rounds for each event.

On PS Vita and PSN, you’re a cunning new assassin – Aveline, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage. Also on PS Vita, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the 19th release in the long-running Need for Speed franchise, and the first for the PlayStation Vita. It hearkens back to the earliest games in the series as players compete in races with police unified against them. Enjoy this week’s The Drop.

@96… peace walker will work on vita, just have to transfer from ps3… don’t know about portable ops, but that game sucked imo anyway.

  • @100— youtube fools and fanboys crying about a few fps…. the game looks fine. I remember last gen playing games on a mid -high tier graphics cards (max or near max settings) and getting 17-25 fps and still having fun with the games. Gamers now are so picky. If they didn’t see sites like digital foundry and lens of truth these same people complaining would probably be playing the games and having fun.

I wonder how many games in the ps1 gen ran under 60 or 30 fps… my guess is most.

  • Midnightshade yes the hurricane is bad news dude stay inside lol dont be crazy and go out cuz its worse then irene last year its pretty serious

  • No ac3L demo? Come on! I need a fix lol i cant buy it xD i might get ac3 though, its 50 bucks at Kmart

  • I just wating Okami HD .AC3 is a boring gameplay ,very boring

  • @104 i have no interest in that series as well. AC2 bored the crap out of me, and its suppose to be the best one so far outside of 3.

  • Aren’t Smart As and LEGO: LOTR at retail too? So why are they listed on the PSN section? :/ That’s supposed to be for PSN only stuff.

  • @104

Wow, how long have you had your copy of AC3? Or are you phsycic and can see in to the future, if so, how is The Last Of Us? Because I was considering that title, but I would love a heads up. Thanks.

  • Picking up the new PS3 Slim ACIII Bundle & ACIII L @ Midnight Launch!!! NFS MW will have to wait since CoD Black Ops 2 and Declassified are in the way as well as PS+ for the PSVita… Seems everything SONY is headed to a Big Banging Winter/End of the Year season!!! I just can’t wait!!! Woot! @(*0*)@ :-)))

  • @100ItaChu
Proof that Zone of The Enders HD Collection is as CRAPPY as it can be (you can thank High Voltage Software for that):

    • youtu.be/bYVwhk5y2pU

  • come on alittle rain and a lite breeze ! i fart more wind then that !!!!!

  • @107 .. doesn’t that piss you off when someone downgrades a game before it’s even released !

  • @104-105
I believe that the Assassins Creed series was great, some of the games (like in every series) may not have been as good as some of the others, but overall I found the AC experience to have a terrific story with solid gameplay. AC3 however, is supposedly a completely revamped experience from the environment to the fighting style, not to mention the incredible graphics. So while everyone is entitled to there opinion, I feel as if you 2 are probably in the minority on this issue.

  • Boring gameplay asside I can’t wait to play AC3 & Liberation.

  • @ 13
are you getting nfs most wanted ?

  • @114
Are you talking to MrRender or me? If you meant 113, yes on the vita. If your talking to MrRender ummm maybe.

  • you ! but if your getting it for your vita it doesn’t matter ! had my vita stolen !

  • @117
On the blogcast, I’m pretty sure they said wwe 13 would be on psn

  • lol ! if that’s the case i have alot of questions to ask him !

  • @119
Thats odd, I stole my vita.

  • @119

  • if your the one can i please have my car back ? you cane keep the vita !

  • I dono why the ZOE collection isnt listed and I dont know what you guys are talkin about saying it sucks. It looks fine to me. So what if it doesnt run at 60 FPS? Its close enough that I cant tell any noticeable difference

  • if wwe 13 was coming ps store tuesday wouldnt say on blogcast beside wwe 13 (also on PSN) like ac3 does & NFS MW so seems to me no wwe 13 on ps store tuesday

  • @126WilHiteWarrior
When an HD-remastered version performs much, much worse than its PS2 original. There is a seriously problem going on there.

  • How much is Liberations on PSN?

  • Hi Does Anybody know how big is Okami HD download size? Thanks (^_^)

  • Got three games I’m eager to play. I’ll be picking up Zone of the Enders HD, Okami HD, and Ragnarok Odyssey. Not sure I’ll play Ragnarok right away through since I’m playing Virtue’s Last Reward right now, but I’ll definitely pick it up regardless.

Although I have to ask, is Guilty Gear coming out this week? I know it’s coming out for Japan this week, but what about US?

  • finally Ragnarok is about to come out, the (hopefully) first Vita game I will truly enjoy^^

  • Okami HD!!!!!!!

let’s see if the Clover credits is there or not :P

    ACIII get hype?? :D

  • So is ACIII gonna get a midnight release on the PSN.. or once again a day 1 digital not happening till like 7am. I seem to recall in the original day 1 digital post that some games in that initial list may get a midnight release… did it happen to any of them?

Sure wish I could preload it too… doesn’t EU PSN have that feature?

  • I am definately bying Okami HD and AC III! OMG!

  • how much will cost the PsVita Version of need for speed , i buy the ps3 version on 1 day on psn…

  • @109 … really ….. LOL thats what makes it crappy for you?! lol my god children these days making decisions on how to buy games by the frames per second that the game runs on lol thats funny, back in the day we bought game cuz they were good story wise and gameplay-wise

have fun with your call of duty kid LOL seriously sheesh

  • and Rey tell the higher ups to update the youtube app on vita PLEASE!!! I need to see my videos by subscription and in DATE ORDER please man please

  • Where’s Zone of the Enders HD Collection in the drop???

  • @136 It would be about the same price, more or less.

  • So Ragnarok Odyssey is “FOR SURE” going to be on the PS Store tomorrow?

  • I’M READY FOR “WWE 13” THE QUESTION IS “IS EVERYONE ESLE READY FOR WWE 13 ?”

  • Damn SCEA…Damn..LOL
Are you guys really trying to make me broke? ehehehe..

To be a gamer this generation means almost certainty of being broke. I mean from this week’s releases alone I want to get:

    Assassin’s Creed III (PS3)
Assassin’s Creed III Liberation (PS Vita)
    Okami HD (PSN)

…and let’s not get into the games I need to get, my massive backlog of games, and games that are going to come out from now through 2013. >_<

Anyway, I was really hoping that Okami HD got a disc release like Japan. Please consider it.

  • I’m getting Assassin’s Creed III for my PS3 and Ragnarok Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation for my Vita. But with this hurricane, I don’t know if I’ll get them on Tuesday. :( And I’m going to have to pull myself away from Project Diva f to play the Vita games. o_O

  • Nobunaga! Zone of the Enders (on X360)! Okami HD!

I’ll get the AC games when they’re $10-20, which inevitably happens after a couple of months.

  • Rey Gutierrez, the best shooter ever as a classic of PS2 is Black, can we have any news from this please?

  • What’s up with the dude going out of his way to tell anybody who will listen that Z.O.E. HD has frame rate issues? Not everyone cares about that. The game is still very much playable to the people who don’t nitpick over frame rates. I’m personally getting it tomorrow for the Revengeance demo. I never played The 2nd Runner, so that’s a nice little bonus regardless of it not running at 60fps.
