  • i don’t like the new look of the PSN store the old one was better

  • My favorite thing to do is read the comments every week on the Store Update just so I can see how entitled everyone seems to be…here a wonderful example:

“ANOTHER F’ing joke fo crap sales and add-ons!
Give us the PS+ on VITA NOW!!!
    Dark Souls DLC SALE/FREE
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning DLC SALE/FREE
Journey FREE GIVE US BACK OUR PS+ 50% SALES AND NOT THIS 30% BS!!!!!!!!!!!! ”

It makes me sad to see how immature this community can be…and here I thought you needed to be over a certain age to have an account. The world would be much better if this kind of attitude went away.

  • Ok is this just to me or everyone? I am trying to download the Astronaut Costume for PS3 but it always downloads the PS Vita Version, despite the description stating that it is PS3 version.

  • @300, My thoughts exactly. Most of the people complaining here (although some do have valid complaints) sound like they are 10 or 12. I know that isn’t the case, which makes it even more sad.

Now I am not defending Sony here, they did a pretty terrible job here with the new store update and PS+, but what I don’t get is, why would you see that its charging you a certain price while its still in the cart and then go ahead with the transaction when you know for a FACT that it should be free? Then they have the gall to say that Sony is screwing them and saying “bait and switch” Really?

Its pretty clear this community has a lot of people on the lower end of the IQ scale. But hey, at least I have another thing to look forward to besides the updates, but seeing these ridiculous posts as well, some even get a laugh out of me.

I’ve said it before, but the entitlement here is very outputting, people like that give everyone who is a Sony fan a bad name.

  • Please fix the description on Nobunaga’s Ambition. It’s not River King. Also, how come Rygar doesn’t indicate its file size on the store page?

  • nice update! but what ever happen to the promise of instant game collection coming the beginning of november? i remember everyone asking but i still haven’t seen any progress on this at all. I’m only saying that because i own a vita and a ps3 so i would love to have my ps+ subscription make a good use on both systems.

  • @302 Mine actually said free and got charged after the transaction was completed. It was free in the cart and it was free during the entire checkout and confirming purchase. I got an email afterwards showing that I was charged for it.

  • Hmm, i can’t download a dynamic theme, always getting an error.

Not trying to add fuel to the fire, i know you guys are doing your best to fix everyones issues, but honestly the new store is not working well. On the good side, it’s nice to watch and makes a good use of the space, but as usability goes, it’s hard to use and confusing:

    – The search function really isn`t working well, using the big letter wheel is a LOT slower than typing in the old keyboard. And to make things worse, a lot of unwanted content appears in the search. A simple search, like getting Deathspank for example, was done almost in a instant with the classic store, but takes a lot of more time in this new store …and that just to type the word.
    – Plenty of issues…content which is free for PLUS users asks for money ( not only RE5, it`s happening with Stacking and Farcry 2, which i obtained trough PLUS.). If i try to buy the content anyway, says the content is not avaliable at this moment. Just happens with content obtained trough PLUS.
    – The download list lacks of a proper sort mechanism.

  • Hi when will more PSP games be available? I upgraded to the Vita from the PSP 3000,i mean i traded my psp,ds lite,a descent 360 controller plus alot of games cause i really wanted the vita. The gamestop sales person said all my psp games i got from the digital store on PSN will work but once i got home and tried to download them it said i couldnt use the vita to download them :(

I really want to play the games i paid for like Phantasy Star Portable 2,etc.

  • @304, I can understand that, and I would be mad as well if that happened to me.

What I’m saying is the people that said they still went ahead and downloaded it even after it said it cost $29.99. Not saying Sony doesn’t deserve the blame, but I mean a little common sense goes a long way if it happened the way they said it did.

  • Still no price change on LocoRoco. Sony, fire this horrible team. $23 when the sequel is only $8 means time to replace people. Give some deserving people jobs instead of the brain damaged working there now.

  • This new Store… It’s still leaving much to be desired. The only way I can lump one game’s add-on content is on said game’s page, but I can’t sort them by any means, such as price (really good for…basically anything NISA releases); further, all those add-ons are all broken up in categories that are something of a crapshoot to determine. The new content is also at a detriment by not categorizing any of it; that was something I truly liked about the old Store, though maybe I just didn’t go into their categories and there’re sub-categories for new content of those types.

    And a few personal problems:
    – Still cannot download inFAMOUS from the Store page itself, though it does acknowledge that I own it (from the Welcome Back program).
    – None of the God of War Collections games show themselves as purchased, but won’t allow me to re-purchase them either.
    – My Downloads List (which is severely hampered by no sorting options, yet) has set every purchase on or before October 15, 2012 to said date.

  • As for the update’s content, glad to see the Persona games on discount again, including FES (which I bought around digital launch, though I sadly haven’t restarted since I haven’t picked the PS2 version back up in over a year or two). However, since I have the PSP releases on disc, I’ll keep holding off until they go sub-$10 (PROTIP: $9.99 is not “under $10”).

PORT-HOLE DEUX !! So tempted to grab it digitally (hopefully the load times are better), but I’ve Platinum’d it already and my personal PS3’s disc drive decided to not render pink checkerboards on all the textures, so I’m good for now. If it goes $10 or less? Maybe. *sniff* Maybe…

Hoo boy, these LBP DLC are gonna get interesting, at least for updating the backcatalogue. Am I missing something, with the Astronaut outfit for LBPK, or does the LBP2 download work natively for it? Not gonna get a fiver for that launch shirt, though; didn’t last time, won’t now.

’bout all I’m enthused for this time. Grabbing the pid demo, at least (why not just get it on PC, self? much better download speeds than the PS3 gets crippled by).

  • Let’s get Patapon 3 PSVita compatible

  • Nice update, also this is a personal issue, but I recently bought the Ratchet and Clank Collection (Retail, Brand new) and the code for the Sly Cooper demo isnt working, So before I spend any time tomorrow (Didnt try the code till a hour ago) calling Sony, I was wondering if this could possibly be a issue with the new store or something.

Thanks for any info on this

  • Hey Morgan, When will we be getting our $20?

  • We shouldn’t have to shift through tons of DLC and avatars just to browse. If I want avatars from game x, I would click into a folder to check them out. I don’t need to see them all laid out. If I don’t want them, it should be easy to move on to other content to get on with browsing for intersting things that were just added. But that would make more sense. Can’t do that. Gotta make browsing such a chore that consumers don’t want to look at other content. Just get on, search for one thing, buy it and leave as fast as possible.

No need to waste time checking out other things anymore.

  • What’s the difference between PlayStation minis and PlayStation Mobile? Aren’t they the same thing? if they are they should merge into PlayStation Mobile.

Make all games cross buy with cross save and everyone will buy a PlayStation Vita.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition free on PlayStation Plus, nice!

All Portal 2 DLC is supposed to be free. What happened to that? Just for that I will not get that DLC.

Stop being greedy on DLC, some of that DLC should be free and some are overpriced.

Unlock everything add on should be from $0 to $.99 tops!

Online pass for LBP Karting? I will not be purchasing this game than although I was going to and I will pick up ModNation Racers instead.

  • finally the store update shows on my ps3… downloading RE5 :D … maybe later on portal 2

  • @315 The difference between the minis and the ps mobile games is that minis can be played on PS3, PSP and PS Vita. The PS mobile games can only be played on select mobile phones, tablets and PS Vita’s.

  • Does when vikings attack have a platinum?

  • I like how many PSOne Classics on Vita have been added this past month. ಠ_ಠ
I mean, yes, you are all awesome people doing a good job and all and so on and so forth. But please.
…Next week? Like 20-30 new ones? Yes? Awesome. Thanks =D. I’ll just sit tight and wallow in my own despair for another week.

  • wish they would make MGS Portable ops ps vita compatible. i bought a ps vita thinking that i could play all psp games on it

  • @320 Every week MGS Portable Ops is requested and just ignored. I honestly believe that we’ll never see it on the Vita.

  • Finally can download RE5 :)

  • OMG! RE5 Gold so cool!

  • How about a 50 % off entire psp digital library at some point? I bought Jeanne d’Arc for psp when it came out and would love to have it again but-$22? Still?

  • A couple of free PS+ games (Bloodrayne, Renegade Ops) are not showing up as purchased for me, but they are on my download list. However, I’m having a problem with the Costume Quest bundle I bought: the game unlock for Costume Quest is missing from my list, but “Grubbins on Ice” is there.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K (er, Playstation Store).

  • A. It is harder in the new store to just at a glance see what is new. Yes, there’s the “All New Releases,” but it just shows a bunch of squares, three to a row, and no categorization of any of it (I can’t tell when I get to the end of the dozens of new avatars if I am still in this week’s new stuff).

    B. Sigh. I can no longer navigate the store using Remote Play on my PSP. I would often download things while watching TV. Now I cannot. Thanks.

  • I really think the PSN Store would be tollerable if you just made a few alterations to it.

    1.
PLEASE give us back the ability to suggest games, themes, demos to friends.
Why would you get rid of this feature??

    2.
Get rid of the Movies, TV Shows, PSP Channel. Seriously they were all outdated before you began coding this.
For videos we use Netflix and we don’t buy DLC for the PSP anymore.

    3.
Replace the WELCOME screen with the What’s New screen that you out on this blog, but then make all if the titles linkable so we can quickly and efficiently find the stuff we want.

    4.
I would also suggest a Wish List and Download sorting, but I’ve lost hope on those long ago. :(

  • sony the new store is a real mess please return to the prev format … res5 its a great asset for plus thanks

  • There needs to be NFL and NASCAR avatars.

  • …soooo what’s the deal with the max payne 3 dlc for us ripped off season pass holders?

  • Why do you even ask for feedback if you just continue to ignore it?

It’s great that you put more pictures on the PS store even though it works terribly now, lol…more pictures makes everything better…good job guys, lmfao!!!

How about you work out the kinks in the way you actually do business before you try such a pointless overhaul??

Can we get a download list we can sort?? Can the tech geniuses at sony actually figure that one out…it’s been 6 years now…must be tough, lmao!!!

Keep up the “good work”…all we need is more pretty pictures…it makes everything better!!!

  • I just went through my purchases through the “improved” store, and Nights into Dreams appears as not bought. What gives??

And just a heads up: Crash Bandicoot and 2Xtreme have disappeared from the store (search doesn’t work). What a delightful, laggy mess ¬¬

  • Don’t usually leave a comment, but I was an early adopter of One Piece, hoping the DLC will go on sale for PS+ sometime. Would be nice since it’d seem like a nice gesture to the early adopters who don’t want to buy the dlc since waiting a month would have had us paying less money for even more content. Can’t wait to see what we’re getting next week. I hope it’s not Assassin’s Creed though, already have all those trophies. ;(

  • Where’s the PS Vita Ragnarok Odyssey DLC’s ?? Was hoping for it this week, I hope it’ll be out by next week and free like the other regions ~

  • Morgan, you had promised Max Payne 3 season pass holder the issue would be fixed today. But here we are, a FULL week after the Hostage Negotiation Pack was released and it is still not available for season pass holders. When are you going to give us what we paid for?

  • @300 & 302- guys… guys! We can never win this battle. The majority of the users here do not understand how businesses work. Add to that, how Sony as a digital content provider needs to have everything lined up w/ its partners for example like Ubisoft & Rockstar, on the weekly sale of this content- it’s a bloody complex affair. When you have more than 1/2 of the users here posting the same questions w/out even reading that a response from Morgan/Kristine was already stated- I salute you both for being mature & level-headed individuals in a very ‘le sigh’ environment. =)

@334- hrm, I thought the DLC was already in game?

IMO, I like the store’s UI but navigations to specific content needs work. It takes too many user actions just to ‘get there.’ Secondly, please incorporate a sorting function in the ‘downloads’ window. Finding what was purchased at a particular time should not require going down the entire list. Oddity: first time ever my fan revved while logged onto the PSN store.

  • HULU + on the vita. When…..?

  • Ah, finally released Pinball Arcade Table Pack #5. I wondered what happened to that. Guess I can go ahead and buy that and Pack #6 now. I was getting kind of upset that Table Pack #7 was already being released on other platforms, and we’d somehow missed a pack. All is right with the world now.

  • Long time lurker first time poster.

I’ve got about $700-800 of purchases on my US account and $3000 on my EU account.

The new store is completely unusable. And yes, I have spent several hours over the last weeks familiarizing myself with it. And no, I’m not a whiny teenager who doesn’t understand navigation, I’m a designer.

The new store is a complete usability nightmare. If you don’t provide categorized list-based item pages like the old store did, you are going to lose a lot of sales.

    That is all.

  • Dear PS+ when you changed my PSN Store Layout I was about to fly over to China and whoop me some sony butt now after 1 day of getting use to the new layout it’s Really good and I like it more. So good job now do NOT CHANGE IT AGAIN EVER! OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN LIKE A FOX!

  • j/k besides I will be too busy probably Barricading in my house getting prepared to deal with the Upcoming Zombie Apocalpyse. That’s my new thing now. =) When Plan A and Plan B Fail have yourself a Plan Z.

  • I do kinda like the new PlayStation Store Surface RT, but it does seem more cumbersome to find specific items, and the download list is even less friendly now than it was before.

    Thanks for RE5 though :D

  • <3 RESIDENT EVIL GAMES VERY INSIGHTFUL INDEED. <3 Playstation PLUS – one more thing…I like me sum Pumpkin Pie! Happy Early Turkey Murder Day!

  • Please change it back. I know you won’t simply change it back to how it was after you’ve spent untold person-hours on the redesign, but I have to ask to please change it back. Sure, after all the kinks are worked out and you’ve refunded everyone who was incorrectly charged for free downloads, over time I and others will grow accustomed to this monstrosity that defines “grand scale fail” in usability design texts. But…

But I don’t _want_ to get used to it. And, over time, I’ll only come to hate shopping at PSN even more than I have enjoyed it up to now. Unhappy customers spend less, right?

  • Love the Persona sale! :D But it just reminded me, does anyone know if the remake for Persona 2: Eternal Punishment will be localized here? It would suck not having a complete series.

  • Look, I get that a bunch of people here are writing comments without even bothering to read the previous ones (“Hey, I got charged for RE5. Has anyone else had this problem?”) and a few of them are yelling about this update being terrible because it didn’t have any game they are interested in.

But that doesn’t mean there’s a governing sense of entitlement here, or that people don’t understand how bussiness work. The truth is, no mod has even made a comment on any of the real issues. Even if they’re busy fixing the problems, they could at least acknowledge they’re aware of them. Otherwise, it looks like they’re ignoring us.

I know there’s a lot of people who don’t read all the comments and simply scan through the comments section looking for the mods’ replies, which easily stand out, because they (logically) believe they might have answers to their questions. Not finding any, they might assume no one had the same problem because if they had mods would have replied to them. But the truth is that mods are not answering to these problems. When mods instantly jump to reply to praising comments or easy questions but say nothing about real problems with the service you should understand people for being upset.
