  • This new store is very confusing, I didn´t like

  • Has Sony forgotten about PSP games for the Vita? There are still a bunch of PSP games that are playable on the PS Vita but can only be transferred Via PS3 as they are still not available on the PS Vita store. Specifically, Valkyria Chronicles 2! Whats the matter? Sony and Sega dont want my moneyz? I dont have a PS3 and I want itz!

I will keep on re-posting this until I get a decent reply. And by decent, a “we’ll look into it” or “we have forwarded this to blah blah bah” reply wont cut it.

I so want to support the PS Vita but you guys are making it stupidly difficult. Its like saying “so you wanna play this on your vita? well you cant! just go get one of em eCFW on the Vita and copy the iso”

    lame man! lame!

  • The new store it TERRIBLE. Please go back to the old store as it worked and doesn’t have you going through 14 steps to purchase a game and download it. The RE5 PS+ ‘price glitch’ thing amounted to a bait and switch with you guys fully deserved being served with a class action lawsuit for consumer fraud. Grace Chen needs to be fired. Why is she still around? She does nothing.

  • A brand new store and you still don’t make it easy to browse previously downloaded content? Shame on you :P
Also there’s too much useless screen space.
Loading times are much nicer though.

  • Can you play ps2 classics through remote play? If so I’ll buy Persona 3 in a heartbeat.

  • Reduce the price on psp games!!

  • I would like to know how anyone at SCEA still has a job. Specifically Grace Chen.

    1. Where is our $20 dollar credit?
    2. Where is the rest of the PS1 classic games for Vita?
    3. Where is the rest of the PSP games for Vita?
    4. Where is the missing DLC for SFxTekken?
    5. Where is the promised free with purchase Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS themes?
    6. Where is PS+ for Vita?
    7. Why have the digital copies of Sony games not had their prices dropped as their retail copies have, three months ago?
    8. Why am I still not able to purchase avatars on my Vita?
    9. Where is Wake-Up Club for the US?
    10. Why is there still no set time for releases on Tuesdays?

Not to mention the fact that you just released a broken UI update to the store that has missing games, charging for free items, slower than the last UI and a complete mess to actually navigate. Does SCEA think it is not a major problem for the majority of their userbase to have accidental 30 dollar charges on their credit/debit cards that result in a chain reaction of numerous overdraft fees?

Someone from Sony care to respond?

  • I’m sorry, but this is getting kind of ridiculous with how much better stuff the EU PS Store updates have compared to the NA updates. I started noticing when EU PS+ got Crysis 2 and we got nothing. Now I check their update page they have a sale of all games that PS Allstars characters are in. As well as a big racing game sale. This is seriously B/S how can you favor one customer over the other when we pay the same for PS+!

  • I’ve another problem to add. After the store screwup Tues, my auto update became stuck and I had to hard reset.

  • EU Store as content that the US store still does not have but who every is in charge of adding things to the store US needs

Lara Croft Tomb Raider PSN Avatars

and some other things that the other dont have ot does have

  • Another great update, you guys have been on a role lately! Keep it up!

  • Just downloaded Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition from the PSN+ and I noticed that before getting it, I didn’t get the message about it being free while as a PSN+ subscriber. I mean I get that kind of message Bloodrayne and King of Fighters XIII though like Starhawk months ago, I received no message about it for RE5 Gold Edition. Granted, it has not been bought due to the fact that I don’t have enough money for it. Does that mean the game is free even after PSN+ expires?

  • I really appreciate RE5 Gold. I own RE5 via Steam, and I’ve always been resentful that the DLC episodes were kept exclusive to consoles. Exclusivity is a horrible idea that does disservice and disrespect to customers, but at least I don’t wind up buying games multiple times if I just wait long enough.

Here’s hoping for Mirror’s Edge soon, another one with great-looking DLC that will never come to the PC…

  • Hey Violent23,

If you have less than $30 in your account and are worried about overdraft fees, maybe you should stop buying Cheetos and videogames and stop crying about stuff. Get a life. Did you need to play and beat RE5 SOOOO FAST that you couldn’t just wait until the problem got fixed?

  • @353
And wait, hold on…if Sony is the dumb, incompetent one then explain why you so blindly clicked “CHECKOUT” when it clearly said you were going to be charged $29.99 for the game? Seems pretty duh to me. Keep crying about avatars. It’s cool. And so violent.

  • @brianMcGuinness

Wow, why do you care how somebody spends their money? Instead of actually bashing a guy for something you really have no business bashing him for, how about you put blame where blame belongs? They screw up one way or another EVERY week…it’s a shame really…most people that do their jobs this poorly would have been fired a long, long time ago.

  • I’m having some problems with the new Store as well.
I bought “Nights Into Dreams” some time ago and it’s showing as if I didn’t. Also, I can’t find the DLC “Twin Ring Motegi” for GT5.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I don’t know, I think the new store for me loads fine, doesn’t give me much flack at all and looks better than it ever did. I hate the old way because navigating through that was a hassle!! Any word on more organization on the XMB??

  • haven’t seen the new store!!! and number 358 Zonnex I have been with plus for 1 year and a half and have got a few games with no expire date even though they were free threw plus. some PSone classics and mini I know for sure.

  • Looks like we’re getting…Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm for free on PS+ this month….I already have Crysis 2 and RE5 Gold Edition as well…so I can’t wait for Bulletstorm.

  • Mmmmm more Mugen Souls DLC… *drool* and free RE5 Gold..? Me gusta… mucho!

  • @zombie9
Well, I guess I’ll see if it is free free after the subscription ends this month before renewing it again. Thanks for the reply.

  • @ SCEA:

Hi there! Sorry for dropping by so suddenly. I’m a European (Italian, to be specific) PS user. I’m posting this comment in order to beg for help.

I’ve bought a PSP back in 2008 with my main interest in the console being the possibility to play PS1 games anywhere. However, out of the PSOne Classics I already owned in their original format (and wanted to be portable), a very-late Crash Bandicoot 2 was the final addition to the Crash trilogy, and that was it.

Now that it’s almost 2013, I’m willing to settle with the original Spyro trilogy, which Jawad Ashraf of the European blog claims will become available as “PsOne imports” (read: US version) because technical issues ultimately prevented the European versions to work. Fair enough, but now it seems the planned October release of said trilogy has been further pushed back due to the very same QA issues (weird, considering it’s the same content that’s been already available on the US store for two years now).

That said, my question is: can you guys at SCEA help the European store with its rather lacking selection of PSOne Classics?

Thanks in advance for reading and (maybe) answering. If you don’t, it’s cool, but I’ll probably re-post this next week.

  • @370

I hope not since if we do get those games that would mean 2 months of strike outs for me which isn’t a good thing.

  • @ 54

Still it isnt right to update so late even if it is only 5 PM on the west coast. We shouldn’t have to wait all day Tuesday to get our DLC or whatever it may be. Updating in the morning by 10AM Eastern should be the ideal time to update. I am sure I am not the only one who would agree that the mystery update time isn’t right and should be an easy fix.

  • man working for sony must be the best job ever. you get to screw up constantly… basically give the finger to paying customers on a weekly basis. and it seems on tuesdays you can show up to work whenever you want and do a bad job once you get there. where do i apply?

  • I just would like to say that I like the way the new store looks but not how it behaves. it takes longer to load the store and, when I try searching for things i have to wade through avatars and themes before getting to games. I’d like to see the menus return to the way they were with newer items in folders seperating types and games by themselves.

  • does anybody know if black ops 2 and declassified will be first day digital release?

  • STILL I CANT DOWNLOAD THE RESIDENT EVIL5!!! WHY???

  • Small problem.

With the old store, even if the purchase price was “free”.

At the checkout, it would ask for your password, if you had, through account managment, enabled the option that requires a password at checkout…

While the option is still there, in the same spot…it no longer effects purchases that are “free”.

I used this option as a parental fail-safe, to ensure my kid would not be downloading stuff that I felt should not be downloaded….now I find this option does prevent “free” stuff from being selected.

Anyways, I REALLY hope that purchases that require funds from the wallet still do require the password at checkout. (If anyone who had this option selected could confirm for me if its still there at time of checkout on a paid purchase, it would be GREATLY appreciated)

If its also gone…Sony, you made a big mistake.
If it is still there but only lets it skip out for “free” purchases, then I’ll let it slide…otherwise, I’ll be one ticked off parent.

  • *Does Not* prevent free stuff from being downloaded.

  • Dear Playstation Blog,
Let me start out by saying, thank you. Many people are still complaining “why isn’t this game free” ect, but you have managed to make playstation plus an essential package that I will always be a member of, due to the awesome content you release for it.
Reguarding the store, again people seem to be complaining that it isn’t easy to navigate. It’s only been out in the USA for a couple of days!!! You’ll all get used to it. I personally love the new design. And Sony has stated that they are able to continuously update it.

So again, thank you so much. I really appreciate all the work that you guys on the PS Blog do :)

  • Please keep the new store for my comment section amusement. I’m having a field day reading all the comments.

Change is good, the old store had issues too. Nothing is perfect; and I like the new store, sorry if you don’t.

  • While I would vastly prefer that we just go back to the old store, I think the new store will eventually be fine as long as Sony irons out every single issue. When the store doesn’t think you’ve bought games that you’ve bought that’s a big issue. It would be nice if every single game is categorized by genre appropriately as well so that the filtering works as intended. All new content for the week should be a big focus and should be VERY easy to access and browse. If it’s a million pieces of Capcom DLC it should be put in a folder. If all of the problems get fixed then I’ll get used to the store.

  • @ Everyone:

Is there a slight chance to see an answer in the eighth page of comments?

If not, when is the next update due? That is, in your timezone (I’ll find out the equivalent in my own timezone by myself)?

  • Hey, i can’t get Resident Evil 5… and i’m a Playstation Plus member… I downloaded the game and now i just can play it for 60 mins? WTF is wrong with PSN?

  • Hi.
If I buy the digital version of Portal 2 PS3 could get for free the PC version?
    Sorry for my bad English.
    Regards.

  • If this suggestion was already made (or possibly implemented?), my apologies… but my thought was…

Why not add the ability to access the PS Store from the internet? Then you could sign in and buy games, DLC, etc and then have an option to “push” the purchase to your PS3 – like how Google has it setup on the Google Play Store (you can buy apps and push them to your different android devices to download automatically).

That would be cool, then I could download things to my PS3 from work and then it would be ready for me when I got home.

  • Part 1

I would like to start by saying that Sony does a great job. They bring out great content and give great games through plus. I wouldn’t have played the Sly cooper collection if it wasn’t for them.

Now to defend Sony a bit. I’m not a big fan of the new store layout at all. But its change and will get better (hopefully) When they tested out the new store they would have done so in a closed system and wouldn’t be able to fully see the effects of a massive launch until it happened. It’s like being a server admin. You can test and test but until it goes live you can’t say for sure what problems are going to happen. So please be patient with Sony while they fix the bugs.

  • Part 2

For the Res Evil 5 GE. I had no problem downloading it for free. Those who insisted on downloading it when it clearly showed you had to pay only have themselves to blame. I ran into the same problem but after refreshing it a couple of times and leaving the store it eventually did say free for PS+. Morgan can only do so much and he is the front man in my opinion for these blog posts so it is easy to get mad at him. But he is doing his best and it will get sorted out.

I am disappointed in the holdup on the PS + update for Vita. But the EU blog has stated that it should be announced next week as there were some hangups. But they said that it would be launched by the end of this month. Also no one has said “It is coming this week” they keep saying soon. They also said there would be info on it this week. But, hopefully to make it even better, they decided to hold off on any info.

That’s my two cents. Ohh and Mogan, Please keep up the good work :D

  • It’s funny how people make disrespectful comments and demand an answer. Maybe if you’re moms taught you how to talk to people, someone would respond.

  • Will I ever be able to play Star Wars Battlefront on my PS3?

  • i have problem with nascar inside line trophies it is not sync my profilei have 32% trophies and it is not on ps3trophies.org but it is showing up on x-box achievements.org i search on ps3trophies.org for nascar inside line no search for that game why is that

  • I also vote for Star Wars Battlefront for PS3… that and Test Drive Eve of Destruction!

  • Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the great stuff! I love Playstation Plus! I really appreciate all the things you all do. :)

  • @393 They won’t show up on ps3trophies.org until someone submits a copy of the trophy list to them.

  • please have a new releases tab i really hate having to filter everything and themes and avatars should have there own category. the new ps store is so confusing

  • Of course, good luck finding any of this content in the unorganized mess that is the new store. Sony, please realize that avatars are not games and should not be listed in the “New GAMES” section of the store. It’s a huge pain in the *** trying to find a new game or new DLC and having to sort through HUNDREDS of icons for avatars.

Sort this out, the old store was a million times better than the new one and us loyal customers did not deserve to have a horrible downgrade forced upon us.

  • Hey guys how come the UK store got MK2 avatars!!! this is not fair.

  • I hate the new store. I used to easily to do two clicks and see all new releases and they were sorted by category. Now it’s several clicks just to see new releases at all….and then you see EVERYTHING and it’s not sorted at all. I have to then manually add filters just to see what was once super simple to view. I honeslty have no idea how to view what’s on sale for that week. What is a “new release” and what is a “hot new release”???? What happened to “Sales” “Bundle Deals”, etc.???

Also, why does it take 15 clicks to download a demo? Why do you have to go through the whole purchase process. I used to be able to see a demo, click download, and done.

I love change, but this new store is just horrid. It offers a visual overhaul (which is debateable if it’s better) but functionality has gone completely out the window.

Last but not least – Who thought it was a great idea to eliminate a keyboard view and add a giant letter scroll wheel? How is that an improvement? I used to love visiting the store, but now I find myself never looking at it because it is SUCH A PAIN to find anything.
