Continuing in the fighter theme, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is available for download. A more cooperative option for your family gatherings, SingStar is now available with some free demo songs.

PS Plus members can snag another free game this week as Quantum Conundrum enters the Instant Game Collection. There’s also a Timed Trial for Counter Strike: Global Offensive in case you missed it when it was only available via Automatic Download back in August. Rounding out the Plus member goodies this week are a few discounts on Machinarium, Choplifter HD and Super Stacker Party.

As always, please leave your thoughts in the comments below. You can also chat about this update in the PlayStation Community Forums.

God of War: Ascension Beta Update

PlayStation devotees who purchased God of War Saga for PlayStation 3 received a special 30-day PlayStation Plus voucher, which encouraged them to redeem on November 13th for exclusive access to the God of War: Ascension Beta.

Please note that the Beta will not be available today on the PlayStation Store. Development on Ascension and its exciting multiplayer content continues at a feverish pace, and an announcement regarding a Beta launch date is forthcoming.

If you are not currently a PlayStation Plus user and were planning to use the voucher included with the God of War Saga in order to access the PS Plus Ascension Beta, please do not redeem your voucher until the as-of-yet unannounced launch date. This will ensure that the 30-day PS Plus trial will afford you as many days of access to the Beta as possible.

Stay tuned for further updates regarding the Ascension Beta, and thank you for your ongoing support of the God of War series!

  • I hated the new scee store design get adopted by scea with out learning how to actually use it and optimize it so it works faster on scea ps3’s.

I also keep getting 2 errors off and on “an error has happend” no error code and “can not purchase at this time”

the store needs to categorize dlc by game and the what’s new section by what it is instead of throwing it out as a mass amount of chaos. I really liked the order an speed that was done in the old store also it had less errors.

  • Any update on the games that the new store asks us to pay again?

  • @88 KrisButtar
Sure thing pal. I be checking PS.Blog.Share mostly 3 times a week, yet I do NOT see my recent new ideas, other players’ ideas, nor updated ‘Ideas in Action’. Is like there is no progress, or like if they’ve totally forgotten it’s there.

  • I am unable to download/import the Fantastic Four table for Zen Pinball 2 for free. I purchased it long ago for Zen Pinball. Trying to import it within the game doesn’t work either. It should be free for all previous owners, I hope this is resolved soon.

  • Hey Morgan, look! Nobody is asking for an update on Plus for Vita! Yay! =D

Great update, by the way. Quantum C looks like quite the cool Portal “clone”. And I mean that in a very positive way!

  • I am a plus member, The Quantum Conundrum should be free, but it shows 14.99 when I was trying to buy it. There is something wrong with the system.

  • Add me to those who would like to download the Fantastic Four table for Zen Pinball 2, but is being told it’s $2.99. Is there a plan to fix this, or since it didn’t release at launch, are we expected to purchase it again? It was one of my favorite tables from Marvel Pinball, and I’d like to be able to play it on my Vita.

  • Morgan here is a suggestion.
Sony needs spend more time and effort to release new content on the PSN Store a lot more earlier. This is ridiculous.

  • I do feel bad for Morgan and the other writers/editors who have to read through all the negative comments. It’s true that the new store has a lot of bugs, but at least they were trying to organise things. I like having the demos, videos, dlc etc all grouped together when you look at a game. Yes I wish they’d bring back the old search as it was faster using qwerty, I really miss the “suggested games column” on the right of the thing you were looking at, and I found the old layout was easier to use to see the new games and things were better categorised. But I can understand that they want to have more impulse buys and people to see content they wouldn’t otherwise look at. It’s much easier to see the new avatars, themes, and dlc now than it was before; but like others had said, I wish they’d be grouped in folders so that I don’t have to scroll through 50 rockband songs, and a signal that you’ve reached the bottom would be nice.

As for this update, I got really excited seeing Crackle up there, but sadly it’s not available in Canada :( Here’s hoping soon there’ll be Crackle and Crunchyroll apps available for the Vita in Canada too!

  • One correction:
    Under RB DLC
    COLD KISS – $1.99
    CORPORATE CONTROL – $0.99

    Should be

    Cold Kiss– ($1.99) Amberian Dawn
Corporate Control – ($0.99) Sunny Side UP

  • Hey guys, if you can’t bring a Monster Hunter to Vita at least ask SquareEnix to bring Lor of Apocalypse, it’s better than Ragnarok :/

  • The update isn’t already up in the México PSN Store. ):

  • I’m still having trouble with some purchases not showing up in the store (PS+ freebies), as well as one regular purchase: the Costume Quest bundle. The add-on “Grubbins on Ice” is in my download list, but the game unlock key for the main game does not show up (nor does the game show up as purchased in the store).

Morgan, any idea on when these bugs will be worked out?

  • Honestly, the old store layout was so much better when it came to new releases. I hate having a screen with 9,000 items on it when, say, I just want to find the new demos or the new videos. I liked how there used to be a New Releases section and then it would be categorized once you got there.

You want to have everything that’s new on one page, fine, I understand that, but give us the option to browse through it the old way.

Also, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus really needs to be up on the store already. We’re nearing a month after the 360 release and more than two weeks since the Japanese.

  • Also, when i download a demo, why does it take me to the shopping cart? It’s a free item. I hate that there’s three extra steps to what us to be one or two clicks.

  • Could you guys group DLC together in the All New Releases list? 2 pages of Rockband DLC isn’t as efficient as a grouping them together into a Rockband DLC group.

  • Shoud’ve had the God of War Ascension beta come out this week because once I get my hands on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, I’m NOT playing anything else.

  • you know what i was kinda hoping would be on the Playstation Store today? Black Ops 2 as a Day 1 Digital Download, kinda upsets me that it isn’t on the store :(

  • nice updaet for this week but some things is still missing and they are the Tomb Raider Avatars for PSN When are they comeing ?

  • When are we going to get the Chainsaw Massacre bear for Naughty Bear?

  • Am I the only one who doesn’t like the new store? Yeah it looks better, but it moves slower and things aren’t as well organized.

  • I’m pleased to see Quantum Conundrum is the free game this week. I bought it a while back on a steam sale with out checking the minimum requirements. While I was able to enjoy it a bit the frame rate annoyed me so I did not get far in it. Now I will be able to enjoy it a proper frame rate.

  • You know, I read this every week, and mostly what I see is a bunch of children (or adults acting like children). I do not believe you guys realize that SCEA is attempting to bring us top of the line gaming experience for everyone to enjoy. Not everyone will be pleased with every update, that is life. If it is marked as “Free” for PS Plus members, and it is attempting to charge you, why would you hit, “YES” on checkout? I hope Sony won’t give you a refund. As a Plus member, you get free downloads almost weekly, I cannot see a complaint in that. Grow up, most of you!!!

  • @113 I agree with you entirely. Also, I added several things to cart to download including Quantum Conundrum and then bought the cart all at once. But it didn’t download the demo to Quantum Conundrum, just the unlock key. So I had to go back and download the demo which took forever because it was acting slow. Seriously, why would you launch the store when it clearly needed a lot of work.

  • morgan haro, you gotta let me know if you guys plan on putting far cry 3 on the psn store! it would be so awesome if you guys did. but if ur not planning on it then could u please give them a recommendation or something? thanks also u guys should put bioshock infinite and crysis 3 there, but thats just my opinion, u guys gotta put far cry 3 there

  • @120 totally agree.

Blame the new store look if PSN`s profit drop. Its too slow to just browsing through and too hard to search for something I want to buy there.

People tend to stay in their house during winter, when they got bored, they buy stuffs online. For your own sake, improve the services quick.

  • Hey Morgan I missed or didn’t see anything official on here about PS All Stars still being cross buy. I also didn’t see anything about that on the pre order option on the PSN Store. You guys really need to push this more. This is going to be a huge game judging from the beta, but the Cross Buy is what will push people over the fence if they were undecided. You guys should hammer that in. Also, will Cross Buy from a store bought copy be a limited time only thing or will EVERY copy of the game include the download code no matter if I buy the day it comes out or a year from now??

  • why don’t you post PSM updates too? it’s been ignore since it lanched, mobile devs won’t jump to vita if sony ignores it, it has a lot of potential

  • LOL @ 54.

If you purchased it at the time, you must have thought it was worth $50 otherwise you wouldn’t have bought it.

Here comes that entitlement again from some of these people, you think everyone has to give you your money back as soon as the price changes? If you thought about it, decided that it was a fair price, and bought it, you have NO reason to complain when the price changes.

  • how come the pre order for playstation batlle royale isn’t discounted like all the others?

  • Hey Morgan ,im one of the geniuses that got trigger happy on the free plus game quantum conundrum. I’ve got my service ticket in with support but was wanting to know what my chances of actually getting credited for it. It said free And i said add to cart and just quit reading after that and i was anxious to try out planets under attack

  • Hey Morgan, since you seem to run this thing. Any word on when or if the remaining Walking Dead episodes will be made available for free for Playstation Plus members?

  • Ugh i REALLY hate the new Playstation Store design. It takes too long to load. Visually it looks nice, but it looks like a rip off of the XBOX 360 home screen. Looking for what’s knew on PSN just messy. The old design may be old but it worked great. It was simple and clean, people like simple and clean. Another that that bothers me to no end is that when you want to preview a trailer it only plays in full screen. Whereas before it was windowed and you and the option of switching to full screen or not. For those who have a wired connection for their PS3 that’s fine, but not everyone has that luxury, myself included. It buffers in-between like crazy which is really annoying. Please PLEASE do something about it and FIX this! Allow windowed viewing of trailers. Make the way new things are shown look less messy. Make it feel like I’m supposed to shopping in a Sony store not a Microsoft store. If you can’t add these features or make these changes, then put it back to the way it was before your new design. That, to me was SONY.

  • ….and i really hate myself right now for my grammar

  • One pretty major thing that I haven’t seen anyone else notice yet – anyone who buys Plus this week is only getting 11 games instead of the 12 that the initial launch of the IGC had promised would always be available in North America. I understand the strategy of trying to space new games weekly instead of having them come out in clumps, so dropping 2 games (that probably had to go last week because of contracts) to get 1 more plus another the following week makes sense on that end, but it does shaft some people who would be losing out on 1 Plus game overall whether they subscribe for 3 months or a year unless that gets made up for somehow. This same situation must’ve also happened last month between when KOF13 and Payday came out, but Starhawk was still free I think to make up for it unless I misremember. A free temporary bonus game (like Starhawk single player or the 2 PS1 sports games offered during the Olympics) probably should’ve been put on the service to compensate if you wanted to re-do the content releases for the IGC.

Also… why did Super Hang On never show up for $1? That goes with the other 5.

  • Dang, I was hoping we’d see a COD demo or Need For Speed demo on the vita. I really want to try them before I buy them. With the recent skepticism with COD and then more convincing screenshots coming out in the past weeks, it’s really hard to determine if it’s worth it’s weight in gold. They didn’t even bother adding screenshots for the game to store, that’s kind of worrisome to me because now nobody can tell what it’s really going to look like..

Just my 2cents but I would imagine I’m not alone when wanting more demos or screenshots with some of these titles. I do have to commend Sony and the publishers for adding more screenshots for the recent games, but some of them don’t have any, why is it so fragmented?

I can’t wait for next week, Playstation + on the Vita is going to be amazing!

  • When will Black Ops 2 digital download be available on PSN? DDDDDDDD:

  • buy Tekken Tag 2 digital and DLC game also!!!

Dead or Alive 5 Swimsuit DLC FINALLY!!!!

Sleeping Dogs Hitman/Deus Ex HR DLC woo!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU FOR THESE LISTS ON THE PS BLOG!!!!!!!

This new PS Store app makes it impossible to navigate for new content easily. At least this way I can see a list, find what I’m interested in, and search for it quickly. The content needs to be reorganized as it was previously! I’d like to be able to search for DLC add-on content based on the games I play. I don’t want to have to sift through 100+ DLC add-on content pieces to find the ones I’m considering.

  • Overall I’m happy with Quantum Connundrum as a freebie, much more so than RE5 which I’ve already owned for years but don’t really want to play (and all those other retail games some people complain that Europe gets but really most longtime PS3 owners already bought ages ago because either they’re super-popular or they’ve been in bargain bins so many times).

Some suggestions for future IGC releases would be Warriors Orochi 3 (never came out retail here), Mirror’s Edge (excellent but sadly unknown game that could’ve used a boost; that’s the sort of thing I don’t mind getting a Plus copy of despite already owning), maybe something like Space Invaders Infinity Gene, or Megaman 9 or 10, to replace Pac-Man Championship for us classic game lovers.

I can’t even begin to get at all the problems with the new store layout in 1250 characters, so I’ll be short and just say I’m extremely unimpressed.

  • Was anybody else charged for Quantum Conundrum as a Plus member?

  • I was charged for the Fantastic Four table for Zen Pinball 2, even though I had previously purchased it for Marvel Pinball last year. So, either we’re getting screwed over, or it’s a mistake.

  • I down Crackled and work in my Mexican account ><

  • Get your chance to win a copy of God of War: Ascension and Assassin’s Creed III

  • @17
I know what you are trying to say, but Disgaea is owned by NIS not Atlus. Atlus only published the first game in the US on PS2.
    @27
Yes, me too! I am tempted to buy Guilty Gear on the JP PSN if some announcement doesn’t come soon. Its not like anything needs to be translated…its already out in the US on PS2 and PSP. Cant wait for Online play. Blazblue has nothing on Guilty Gear.

  • @110
That’s really a matter of opinion. However you are inaccurately comparing games…while LoAp is a clone of MH, Ragnarok is most like PSPo2–though it really is in a style of its own. Just because you hunt big monsters doesn’t mean you are copying. And the gameplay is significantly different.
What I can tell you are facts
LoAr was a horrible game and sold poorly in the US, it also did not sell well in Japan. LoAp is a good game, but is obviously a PSP game ported to the Vita since the games right stick camera movement is like that of the digital pad being set to it. Poor sales are the reason LoAp hasn’t come here.
Ragnarok sold pretty well, and has a long time following of the Ragnarok Universe( never personally played but I have heard of it). Companies are in the business of making money, and LoAp probably wouldn’t make SE much money. SE is still trying to recover fro. The billion they sunk into the failure FF13–2 direct sequels…come on :/
You can TL;DR, but I know I am right.

  • It’s definitely a mistake that zen pinball fantastic four is asking us to repurchase the same content, but it’d be nice to get some acknowledgement from the staff that they are trying to fix it.

  • The new PS Store wont let me share my purchases on facebook… :(

  • Great. Black Ops Declassified come here. \o/

  • what about the notifications on Facebook when you purchase stuff? why the new store doesn’t have it?
