November 20th PlayStation Plus Update

Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

Uncover the dark secret behind the 400-year-old massacre of a Spanish expedition and follow the murderous trail of an ancient and secret Spanish sect. Undiscovered temple ruins, vast karst caverns of Central America, legendary lost cities, fantastic action sequences, and of course, Mr. Nathan Drake himself bring this complete Uncharted experience to PS Vita.
Gravity Rush (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

Gain a new perspective as you take on the role of Kat, a strong-willed girl seeking the means to protect her future in a world that’s crumbling to pieces. Taking gravity into your own hands to deliver devastating attacks, uncover the secrets to your past and explore a mysterious world. One of my personal favorite PS Vita games is yours to play free with PS Plus.
WipEout 2048 (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

With PS Vita’s enhanced controls – including front touch, rear touch, and six-axis motion sensors, this entry into the venerable WipEout series is one of the best. Optimized for 23rd century racing, you can compete with up to 8 other players on 10 new tracks. Don’t forget to stay on top of those online leaderboards too!
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

One of the most unique and hilarious PS Vita titles also happens to be one of the best. A side-scrolling puzzle-platformer about an ornery mutant blob that, after being held captive in a lab that can only be described as something out of a retro sci-fi movie from the early ’50′s, escapes into the world and sets out on a path to consume everything. Use touch and the motion sensor functions combined with traditional analog stick controls to defeat the pathetic humans. Eat your way to freedom. It’s that fun.
Jet Set Radio (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

Tag, grind, and trick to the beat in SEGA’s hit game Jet Set Radio on PS Vita. Free for PS Plus members the same day it releases; fight for control of Tokyo-to, mark your turf with graffiti, tag walls, billboards, and even rival gang members! Perform tricks and flips on magnetically driven in-line skates, but watch out for the local police force. They’re not nice.
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS Vita, PSP)

Free for Plus Members

Originally released in 1998 on the original PlayStation, this first tactical RPG in the legendary Final Fantasy series, enthralled fans around the world with its unique artistic style and intricate storyline, and it’s certainly one of my top favorites of all time. A sublime strategy experience with an ever engrossing job system, tactical battles, tens of hours of gameplay, and remastered from the original, yours free with Plus.
Dungeon Defenders (PS3)

Free for Plus Members

An addictive blend of Tower Defense and cooperative online Action-RPG, Dungeon Defenders gives players 4 distinctive classes to lead through action-packed combat while upgrading their statistics, gathering tons of loot and inventory items, customizing & upgrading equipment, and developing unique class abilities. Since some PSP games are showing up on PS+, it would be great to see Final Fantasy IV the After years as a free title or on sale.

Also, it would be great to have the 20th Anniversary Editions of Final Fantasy 1 & 2 on the store for download like they are in the UK and Japan. I don’t even care if they’re part of PS+, I’d just like to play them on my Vita. Help, please?

Perhaps another silly question from me! Will there be crossbuy vita games on psplus? If I don’t have a vita will I be getting yet another free game for my ps3?! This would be an outrage I tell you! :P Isn’t Jet Set Radio cross buy?

Tomorrow should have been a launch day of Vita.
You really have to advertise and promote the PS+Vita. For example, sell 32GB memory card and PS+ 1 yr membership bundle at retail stores. If you don’t want to lower the memory card price, that would be a neat way to handle new customers.

Ok the one thing I am confused/concerned on is this. In december will it still be to where we get 3/4 playstation 3 games and then also some ps vita games or is it now going to change to where its 1/2 playstation 3 games and also a ps vita game or two? Are we actually getting more per month or are we losing some of the playstation 3 per month for vita/psp games?

Morgan,

Three questions:

1. ) I’m currently a Music Unlimited subscriber and I love the service. I’m also a PS Plus subscriber. Is it possible for me to cancel my service and then resubscribe through the Plus discount you are offering? I know this sounds cheap, but I’m looking to get a Vita on Friday, which leads me to my next question.

2.) Is Sony, on it’s website, going to discount the Vita packages (ACIII Liberation, Black Ops, etc.) on Friday? If so, at what time and for what time zone? If not, I’ll need to grab one from Amazon.com (I live in Wyoming. Retail stores around here don’t carry much, and I could only find the basic Vita package). Just want to get in on the Liberation Vita since you guys started up PS Plus for the handheld.

3.) I know it would be a rarity, but you guys aren’t planning any PSN store sales for Black Friday / Cyber Monday are you? I’d really hate to spend some of my “gaming money” on other games that I could easily buy on the store.

Lastly, another great update and I’m stoked to try out Dungeon Defenders. Like I said last week, I think you guys have been killing it the last two months. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for the reply last week!

    1) Starting tomorrow, there will be an option to purchase the 1 year subscription, so you’ll have to to select the one year subscription package option to get the deal.

    3) Watch for an additional to be announced sale that is starting tomorrow, but I have not seen any plans for a sale that would take place only on Black Friday or Cyber Monday

Hey Morgan,

I’m lovin’ the PS+ benefit’s on the Vita, the only down side was having to get my parents buy me a 32gb SD card as an early Christmas present.

Also, I second #81′s proposal, I would like to know the sizes of what I’m going to download.

It took me a lot of searching to find out how much room this weeks games took up.

PUBLISH THE STORE UPDATES (at least the Plus stuff) ALREADY PLZ!!!!!!

The wait is (kinda) killing me. Remember when you launched the PSPgo in 2009, and had the Store update at midnight of that day? I wish you could go back to doing it like that even though it was a one time only thing.

One more question. With the firmware update, will we be able to manage our PS Vita (only) game saves separately (like transferring them to a PC or PS3 even without using online storage), and keeping them (even on our Vitas) when we delete those games? Would be especially helpful for these games since take up about 6.5 GB total on our memory cards. (Yes I did the math, excluding Jet Set Radio.) I feel bad for 8GB card owners, let alone 4GB users.

Yes. In some cases, you may need to have the game card in the PS Vita to access the game save. In this case, just upload the game save data to the Online Game Save area with the game card inserted. Then you can redownload it to your PS Vita. This way, you won’t need the game card anymore. This only affectes a few games, but something to keep in mind.

Should have given Music Unlimited to your plus people for free. that would have been a nice gesture over the absolute junk ps plus offerings of last month and well this month so far. You say you listen to us, when have you truly ever listened to us? also your ps3 has been opened with by the pesky hackers. you can find that out on your own this time. no longer will I call in and give the higher ups any info on who did what. what I am saying is that in the last two years it has been a steady downhill roll for sony as a brand. Your stocks are low, you have been rated the worst provider. the junky games you give away for free that have already been given away for free in the past. nothing new to entice people to stay on. just sick of waiting and hoping for things to get better. Must check out this onlive and steam thing people keep talking about….
Surprisingly the only thing that has gotten better, is Home and that’s quite a surprise.
