I really do love this game, its the perfect blend of old and new. The Graphics are stunning, the gameplay is innovative and tight, and its just downright fun. Unlike many 2D side scrollers of the past, this game is not impossible to play. The time mechanic gives you that slight edge when you need it and the screen is filled with bullets. I picked this one up on both PS3 and Vita and really like both versions and do not regret the double purchase. I give this game a 4 out of 5. The only two things I did not like, which seems to be the trend in PS games, is the very small font size of the text within the game itself - really wish devs would give you an option to increase text sizes. My other complaint is I wish it was voice overed in English, because again, the text is too much trouble for me to strain my eyes on so I just pass over it.

@48 It's cumulative. Each time you travel with your Vita and have Internet access (provided you're not using 3G) you can update your location from the game menu. The distance adds up. Took my Vita to university and back home, unlocked the first set (traveled 9km). So no worries, it's worth it as the artwork's stunning.

@47I'm with Elvick_ on this one. You deny yourself an amazing game simply because it's digital only. It would have never been released at retail, as Elvick_ mentioned already. There are some real gems on PSN and it's a shame to dismiss them simply because they're download-only games.

Hi Ferenc, once again thanks for your reply. Well, I'll buy the PS3 version anyways. Sine Mora is tough as nails (getting "Dies Irae" will be quite the challenge) but it looks, sounds and plays amazing. Best visuals I've seen in a SHMUP in ages and your artistic achievement looks stunning on Vita's OLED screen.

Thanks for the collaboration with G.Rev, as I love Wilhelmine and her plane. Can't wait to get my hands on "Under Defeat HD" once I'm back home. Anyways, Sine Mora is awesome, beautiful and incredibly tough, thank you guys!

@47: I like physical goods too, but a $10 game isn't going to be released physically. That's ridiculous. Some games are made to be cheap digital only titles. Those are fine.

It's when publishers who bring over retail games as digital only ala: New Little King's Story when it should be an issue.

Digital distribution is probably the only reason this game, among countless others, even exist.

Sorry for the late post, I just bought the Vita version after playing the demo. Fantastic game. Quick question on the distance traveled thing: is that cumulative as to how far Near has tracked overall, or just since I've purchased Sine Mora?

Thanks for your support!
I'm afraid these artworks are not included in the PS3 version, so unlocking them is not an option without an update or dlc, which is not planned atm.
