  • Also any chance of some RPG’s as the free games, or discounted.
Id really like to Download Hyper Dimension Neptune

  • Nothing for me this week, Bioshock 2 is old and I would only play it again if the DLC would have been added to this deal.
I agree Bioshock 1 was better more or less because of 2’s online mode which was dead when I played it and those trophies were not attainable. So if online picks up I might finish up the trophies but other than that I will add it to my download list and hope online picks up on the forums online before re-downloading.

I guess I am going to continue with Dungeon Defenders which was the most addictive game to date on PS+.

Other than that I am still content with my Plus Subscription, better luck next week I hope….

  • @Hayterfan nope, just bargain bin trash for SONY’s fans.

  • RockStar Games are the best and worth every penny, i own every one of those games already.

  • Why did you poll us asking if we preferred monthly updates instead of weekly updates and then completely disregard it. At this point you would be insane if you didn’t switch to EU PS+ when your US + expires.

  • Cool :) It’s been awhile since I’ve played Bioshock 2 since the days of my old ID. Thanks guys

  • is this for real?? i mean…. Bioshock is good but the EU player have Batman , Vanquish , etc…. and we get only one game? and in november it was RE5, because Quantum Conundrum its not a PS3 full game…. it feels like we’ve been ripped off

  • Hey Morgan- Just wondering if there’s an update for those of us dealing with the Alice Madness Returns Ultimate Edition DLC issue?
Also to all of you complaining about the EU getting more stuff than NA, they do pay $10 more on average for a year of plus than we do. (current price on Amazon UK for 1 year of plus is £37 = $59.58) If you want to pay extra for different games 90% of you already own then make an EU account on your PS3 and buy their version of plus.

  • @108 So about $.75 extra per month for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Red Dead Redemption vs. NFL Blitz and Payday: The Heist. Sold.

  • Morgan! The Puddle price has an inconsistency!

  • For the record, I would vastly prefer the monthly updates about Playstation+ content, similar to the style that the European Playstation+ content is announced. Thanks for all the hard work on this awesome service!

  • I don’t think its fair for any of us to be “ripped off” as the games are free, and even 1 of the games on the list before today is worth having Plus. Do we usually get the same games as EU, I don’t usually keep track. I would love to get Archam City though. I guess I can cross my fingers. Since it isn’t free for us, perhaps we will get a really good discount on it.

    Excited for Bio 2. Thanks!

  • @107

Are you a new plus subber or are you just confused? Plus updates weekly so Bioshock 2 is the only game that was announced for this month so far.

  • Morgan,

I’m going away for Christmas (cross country) and won’t have access to my PS3. I have automatic updates scheduled, but does that automatically download the free PS3 games? I’m worried that I might miss some content while I’m gone. Any suggestions? I have a PS Vita and PSP, but you can’t access the PS3 content on those.

Awesome update, by the way. I really liked Bioshock 2 when I played it. Will we also be able to play the multiplayer? Also, I’m enjoying the Vita games. Keep up the good work! Hoping for a Christmas sale soon (Before I leave!).

    • I’m afraid there’s not really a solution for ya at this time. Auto download does not auto download free games in Plus at this time. In the past, I’ve had a family member log in on their PS3 and download content for me on my account so it’s tagged in my download list, but you’d need to really trust that person as you’d be giving them your login stuff.

  • well I dont have bioshock 2 but its a decent choice even though i dont care for it sooooo:

“Stay tuned to these updates throughout the month, and I think you’ll find that we’ll have plenty of content to match EU this December!”

now morgan remember you said youd stop saying stuff like that as to not set expectations? after all EU gets 2-3 full retail game sin their PS plus a month.. i mean just look at this month:

5th December: Batman: Arkham City (PS3)
    5th December: LIMBO (PS3)
    5th December: Vanquish (PS3)

Vanquish and Batman are both retail titles.. We only usually get one retail game a month and today is it.. so now its usually “lts wait til January and hope we get a game as good as EU has gotten” so as for “”Stay tuned to these updates throughout the month, and I think you’ll find that we’ll have plenty of content to match EU this December!”” Unless Playstation is deciding to me Merry this Christmas, I think you should retract that statement as not to end up with a lotta disappointed ppl as it seems to be the case every month (minus June when the IGC first launched and November when Vita was added to PS+)

  • hoping to see more free Vita games =)

  • I hate the instant game collection. It has ruined Plus for people who actually buy games when they come out. I have been with Plus since day one and used to get excited for the Plus updates and now I don’t even care because it’s going some game I already have. At this point the only reason I still have Plus is for the automatic updates and the cloud storage.

Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Plus is hurting sales on PSN. I have seen multiple people comment on the fact that one month Plus will offer a discount on something and the next month it’s free. So some people are holding off buying games. For example, I really want Okami and SIne Mora but am waiting to see if it gets a discount because I don’t want to get burned like other people have.

AND STOP CRYING ABOUT EUROPE. THOSE GAMES ARE SO OLD. IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED ARKHAM CITY, DEUS EX, RED DEAD, OR ANY OF THE OTHER GAMES YOU ARE LAME!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE GAMES ARE SO CHEAP NOW AND IT’S NOT SONY’S FAULT THAT YOU ARE CHEAP AND RELY ON THEM FOR YOUR COLLECTION.

I will always be a Plus member for the updates and storage but Plus was so much better before the instant game collection.

  • @101 i second the notion of getting rpgs. Though i don’t want those crappy low budget jrpgs like Neptunia or Altelier. I’d rather have an open world western rpg or a big budget jrpg like Star Ocean or Tales of Graces F (if they are put on psn store). Or you could give us discounts on the Vita jrpgs like Ragnorak or Persona 4.

  • PSN EU is getting 3 amazing games… while we get a game that cost less than 5 bucks anywhere…..

Give us at least a discount on Far Cry 3, anything is better than old games that are in the bargain bin…

    And what about discounts?

DOA 5, Tekken TT2, Dishonored…. tons of DLC’s without discounts…. You guys are not even trying…

  • Morgan Haro You always promise good stuff, but EU always gets everything better. I’ve been waiting patiently for months and we barely get retail games. Can you at least try to get some discounted DLC for Bioshock 2? I already have the platinum.

  • Oh look more people disappointed with free games. Such entitlement, yours words speak volumes of the type of people you are.

I am happy to be a PS+ member, The $50 price has paid off many times already and am quite content.

  • At least it’s a retail game for once, but BS 2 was a disappointment and can be found pretty much everywhere for $10 or less.

EU getting Arkham City, Vanquish, and Mortal Kombat.

Once again, the EU PS+ blows away the scraps we get here in NA.

  • @117 umm arkham city isnt that old… also if we cant “rely on ps for our collection” then by that logic they should give away free games anyway because EVERYGAME they give out free we should ALREADY have.. especially considering no ones dumb enough to think theyre gonna give away something as new as lets say little big planet karting for free… so what kinda games other than old games should we expect?

  • Hi Morgan,

Just came here for any new about the Alice Madness Returns McGee DLC. I bougth the ultimate edition.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    • We’re still ironing out the details, but when we have news, you’ll get a message on your PS3 inbox. This is in regards to people who had bought the Ultimate Bundle but of Alice Madness Returns, but did not get the American McGee Alice as well.

  • Great update but unfortunately nothing for me I already have Bioshock 2…but that Puddle offer is really tempting…BTW I didn’t understand one thing…it says Puddle PS3 Plus Price: $3.50; PS Vita Plus Price: $2.80 and right below is saying PS3 Plus Price: $5.00; PS Vita Plus Price: $4.00…say what?

  • @119 agreed. I’d much rather Plus focus its attention of giving us substantial discounts (30-40% off) on new games like Far Cry 2 than old bargin bin retail games.

  • @117 The hurting sales part could be very true actually. I thought about that the other week. I’ve had money put back to buy games, and then I get hesitant to buy anything knowing it might be free next month. I’ve seen many other people mention this too, or actually buy something and then find out it’s free a few days later or on sale.

  • Oh, also, a sale on Minerva’s Den would be pretty killer right now.

  • @121

“The $50 price has paid off many times already and am quite content.”

lol it amuses me when people use that comment as justification (reassurance) look at it this way.. sure if you look at it mathematically PS+ DOES pay for itself.. you spend 50 bucks a year in you get probably 300 bucks worth of free games that whole year.. so youve got 6 times what you paid for…

but here the kicker…. what if that 300 bucks worth of games was games you never gave a crap about buying or ever playing ANYWAY (or you already had them)? sin that case you spent 50 bucks for 300 dollars worth of junk you can or plan to do nothing with.. when you coulda kept that 50 bucks and used it towards something you actually DO/DID want.. it would be different if they gave you physical copies of the retail games lol then that way if i get a game i dont want I can sell it or trade it in for something i DO want in which case II AM getting my monies worth lol

  • Bioshock2, srly????? come on!!! we want something similar to EU!!!!! this is sad….

  • Hey, Morgan:

Any word on a fix or bypass to the problem that some people are having with the Sonic Bundle? I’d like to snag it before it’s removed, but it’s still not available to me.

    • I sympathize with you, but I’m afraid there’s no solution ironed out at this time for this; but the concerns have definitely been highlighted to the teams for future reference.

  • THe only thing hurting the PSN store sales is their new store design. My goodness it’s one of the most poorly designed things I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s a hassle just to get something from the store now, I try to avoid it as much as possible.

  • @131

Don’t worry, they will fix the problem with the Sonic Bundle AFTER it’s no longer available on PS+. Lol.

  • I swear SCEA is just trolling now. Enough with the shooters.

  • Does anyone think I need to play through Bioshock before I play through this?

Also, thanks for the awesome game. Very excited about this one!

    • I don’t think you need to play the original to play this one; they’re two separate stories. Although playing the first Bioshock will inform you a bit more on the overall backstory of the world, so it can’t hurt.

  • Will we be getting any special deals on the DLC for this? Like Minerva’s Den or The Protector Trials? Free? Discounted? That would be great.

  • I’m still waiting for some discounts or any christmas deals like EU will have. come on guys you can do better than that. :(

Bioshock 2 is a great addition to our IGC, just don’t disappoint us for the next week update it’s christmas, give us some love :D

  • @113 no, im not confused and im not new; but on november the only PS3 full (read the Word FULL) game that was given to us is RE5, go on and take a look at what has been announced or added to the Ps+ EU accounts Vanquish (Ps3 FULL Game) Batman (Ps3 Full Game) …. and can’t remember if it’s Red Dead or Dead Space but either way it’s a Ps3 FULL Game, so what part of this is that you don’t understand???

  • Greetings,

I have a question about the PS PLUS:

    1) I don’t have PS VITA, but I have the doubt If I could download the PS VITA games and use them after? When I have the PS Vita, for example in 6 months?

    2) If I buy some game with a Plus discount, for example the Rockstar Games Collection Edition. When my subscription to PS Plus ended, the game is mine or is linked to subscription like the normal PS Plus games too?

    Thanks for your reply.

    J.Q.

  • Great update. Will pick up Bioshock 2 and Puddle on Vita.

  • Puddle? You guys are sadistic. It’s all a ploy to sell more PS3 controllers and Vitas as a result of people throwing them across the room isn’t it?

  • It’s good to know my Playstation Plus subscription is giving me all of this incredible access to the 5$ and under bin at my local EB Games! THANKS!

Also, love my purchase of Music Unlimited… Been 3 days that the damn thing won’t let me connect to the servers completely locking me out. Even at 12$ it’s still a ripoff… Feel sorry for the suckers who’ve paid full price.

  • bioshock 2 way better game then what europe gets arkam city sucked one of the worest games I have ever played and way too easy and short

  • I don’t know if the Plus updates have gone from monthly to weekly out of concern for cannibalizing sales. But it actually has the opposite effect on me. If I can see that the coming month won’t feature enough free games to fill all my gaming time, then I’ll go ahead and purchase that game or two on my wish list. With weekly updates, I’m constantly in limbo, waiting for next week’s update before pulling the trigger on buying something…and by then it might be too late as my interest has waned in the meantime.

  • There just is no pleasing you people. Bioshock is a great series, and yea you can find it for ten bucks retail, but you can also find EU’s games for the same ten crumpets or dolliree-doos (whatever Yuros use for money). If you haven’t played AA, Limbo, or Vanquish by now thats on you, not Sony.

Morgan, I feel for you brother, I just hope you realize that for every complainer there are multiple content people who don’t post because they are happy.

  • @123

I personally think that any game that has been out for over a year is old. As for what games should people expect, well I mentioned two games in my post that came out recently in Okami HD and SIne Mora. People are so stuck on retail games when PSN has some amazing games. In some cases you can get the games people are complaining about EU getting for cheaper than some of the new PSN games. I stand by what I said, the instant game collection sucks for people who buy games when come out.

  • Never played the Bioshock games, but Infinite looks awesome. Maybe I’ll download this then get the first one and go through them. Didn’t care for the Puddle demo. You guys have been building up your December collection, so I’m looking forward to what the rest of the month holds.

  • Sure wish I had a EU PSN right now. A series like Bioshock for the most part has been played by everyone that wanted to play it. I’d rather get some obscure titles like Vanquish but It is just my opinion still happy that I have PS+.

  • @135

You don’t need to play it first. Most sequels these days are designed so people can just jump right in. Also, I think Bioshock Infinite is going to come with the first one. So if you are planning on getting it when it comes out then just download 2 and wait for Infinite to come out and have a Bioshock marathon. Or I’m sure you can find a wiki somewhere online to catch up on the story.

  • Bioshock 2, good choice! Gamers that don’t have the game won’t be disappointed, especially since it’s free. I was hoping when I saw this that the DLC would be discounted to supplement this, but perhaps at a later date (wishful thinking).

I may give puddle a shot, I’ll have to see if there’s a demo first, but it seems like something I’d want to play on my Vita and suffer a real challenge by playing it on the subway, haha!
