  • Maybe he can buy “Big Sky Infinity” and put more games for the PS Vita in PlayStation Plus :D

  • Rocksmith downloads new this week: Nickleback

Rockband downloads new this week: The Toadies

Rockband superiority summed up in one PSN update.

  • @130 lol what deal? They only ‘deals’ Sony offered on Black Friday week was the overpriced Ultimate editions on a couple of games people already have. Thats not what i call a sell. Not by retail or digital (Steam) standards.

  • Great store update, nothing for me this week except SFIV.

Keep the great free ps+ content coming sony, we love you for it! (i do at least)

  • @150 you shoudlnt have to since your ps3 id is the same name if it not, then that is why.

  • So… has the store update time finally been established? It used to be 4:00 P.M (EST) but now it’s about 8:00 P.M (EST). Also, I just received a “test vest” for beta testing LBP Karting so thanks for that.

Come to think of it, I haven’t commented on this blog for a while…

  • So I’m positive SCEA doesn’t want PS Vita owners to be happy, this is ridiculous.
    – Where is Crackle and for the US Hulu
    – Why is my PlayStation All-Stars Pre-Order STILL no working on my PS Vita
    – Why isn’t Crash titles working on PS Vita when EU has them with no issues
    – Why is it so hard for people to deal with these issues,
    – Why isn’t Sony getting Peace Walker etc. buyable from Vita?
These are just some of the non-sense that keeps people away from the system, the only thing I get replies saying is stuff like ask SE for Final Fantasy I & II psp. You are the guys in charge of these things, it looks incredibly bad when Sony shows no interest in their on handheld. Ppl keep asking so DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!

  • JUST GET IT FOR DOWNLOAD ON STEAM-PC. THE PS2 CLASSIC VERSION IS INFERIOR AND THEY KNOW IT. IF YOU HAVE A PC, ANY DINKY OLD PC WILL RUN IT TOO YOU KNOW, THEN GET IT ON PC.

  • LOL @ everyone complaining bout GTA: SA’s price…. oh wow, it’s an extra $5! DON’T BE SO CHEAP PPL! DEAL WITH IT. An extra $5 is nothing! And that’s coming from someone without a job.

  • Grace Chen you said, “Hi – These should be going out tonight, so check your XMB inbox later. Thanks for your patience.”

Do you know what time they will be in my XMB inbox? Do I need to do anything special to let them know that I didn’t get the McGee add-on?

  • Custom soundtracks for San Andreas?

  • @91 @ 92 Keep trying. My code went thru. Does it show up in the download list?

@57 Consider borrowing someone else’s tv o rusing it it at their place to download stuff>?

@Morgan http://au.playstation.com/home/news/articles/detail/item564319/Sony-Entertainment-Network-introduces-online-store/ – When will it come to US? Xbox has been doing this for some time already.

  • Still no PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale avatars? Guess Sony doesn’t care about that ip anymore.

  • Question: Will there be a “buy $60, get $10 back” promotion every month?

  • @163 probably not, it’s something they tend to do at the end of the year around October/November.

  • @158 why should any one play a game on pc when they invested in a console to play games on ?.. Futher more your prioritys in order will save money.. Think about how much you can be saved .Whch is bit silly some call it reckless spending .

in small discouraging a sale becusse you dont like the price of it, is not good salesmansship, why ask them buy the game twice get it on pc and later they get it on console more than likely they will. the price is same all over 15$ for the game is very low becuase rockstar would/couldve sold it every one for 25$. Which whats its worth new digital. Every new game that hit psn that digital is alwys considered new.

pricing is not complcated as it sound but everyone has to make a profit and putting on the site dont come for free ffrom either party. So they should have sold/charged 25$ for it, be happy it sonly 15$ every where. In the sotre if they brought it back it would 20-25$

  • To those complaining about GTA: SA $15 price tag, take that up with R*. Its their IP and THEY set the price not Sony. How many times do you have to be reminded that Third Party Developers and Publishers set the digital price. Out of Sony’s hands. If it was a PlayStation IP then you would have an valid argument.

  • Thanks so much for this content Kristine, and all the team.
Just a question that I have.GTA SA has trophies in this version right?

Thanks a lot for the support to the community and for the amazing content you give us everyday!
I really appreaciate it and I know it will be better and better like always :)

    Thank you

  • @164 Oh, okie dokie then. I’ve never gotten close to buying $60 in a single month until now. Oh well.

Anyway, I always see a lot of complaining week after week. It’s not right. Just at least try to be happy with what you all get. An update a week is better than none..

  • @167

No, no trophies in San Andreas, you’ll have to wait ’til the spring to hear a trophy pop up while running around Los Santos.

  • Meant @168, apparently. This blog be trippin’ recently on post numbers.

  • Pretty solid update. Glad the Uncharted demo is up thanks guys :]

  • @168 no it doesnt have trophies its a striaght port of ps2 version. if it was remake in hd then yes it would have them, A hd remake cost more and alot the licensing and etc is tricky doing it that way( a hd remake). Mostly becuase of the music. A Port is faster and cheaper to do

So it a straight ps2 copy but those thing can be added down the line with update from rockstar if they choose to those things. Its up to the fans of them

  • Unfortunately nothing for me so far for the past 2 months. Any word on holiday sales for DLC for old games such as PoP, Asura’s Wrath, AC revelations, Castlevania LoS?

  • As usual NA Ps+ users got a facepalm instead of a good offer, 2.5 years later and I’m beginning of getting tired of this ripoff: it’s a good service but it seems that the ppl in charge of the NA division simply doesn’t care about us as customers, SFIV is good but not great like Batman or vanquish, and as a side note we are not getting more avatars and themes, it’s so lame…

  • @175 it best to keep that personal stuff to yourself next time . If You want cry so skin onions. put a steak there. If its nothing for you then ok. suggest what you like to see beside berate and belittle , de fame in your angust it.

They listen tell them what you want to see besides your displeasure.. what games would you want there? crying does no good to grown adults in buisness , but hey can work with you to meet you half way. if wnat to cry go skin oninon if want to work with the psn staff to better thing tell them what you want to see.

    Mcbuttz8
    vp- psn legioniaree group

  • @176 so why are you making an opinion ? If it’s personal why do you care, or do you have nothing better to do?

  • Oh and by the way … As a Sony supporter since 1995 on the original playstation I’m entitled to express why I’m not satisfied and why the EU team put so much effort in keeping their customers happy

  • @176 How about that the EU store can be accessed from a PC (yes still in beta, but nevertheless they have access)?? Are we getting the same treatment?

  • HI :D CAN U PLEASE MAKE JAK X COMBAT TRAINING AVAIBLE TO DOWNLOAD AT A PS2 CLASSIC?

  • @ ryumoau #153

Good lord. Silly little Goofus trying to look smart again…

That was only part of it. How quickly you forgot that particular update was the same day that Plus was launched on Vita. 6 Vita games. On top of that, the Sega Sale, the Rockstar Sale (people like Rockstar and Sega games, no?), and other sales and price drops, including $20 off Sorcery. And that doesn’t even include the “Spend $60 Get $10 Back” promo which applied to ALL items in the store… which is even better than only being able to choose from a few selected titles…

Department stores do exactly what PSN does too. They only put a certain games up for sale, not all of them. If you happen to like what Best Buy or Target had for Black Friday more than what PSN offered, that just comes down to personal taste, which in your case, is quite poor in my opinion. It doesn’t mean that PSN had a crappy sale.

The Ultimate Edition sales weren’t bad either. Not spectacular, but not bad either. The problem is you and your sense of entitlement. That’s why you don’t see these sales as being very good.

  • Hi, I have a PLUS subscription that should still be running but for some reason it is not showing up. Was there a problem with my account?

  • Valve doesn’t have the overhead that Sony does. Every store is different. There are legitimate reasons why everything is the way it is. Some of it boils down to contractual obligations. Some of it relates to regional laws and regulations, so, go complain to the government!

There is no conspiracy of Sony deliberately setting out to rip people off.

If you like Steam better, good for you, now go there and stay there.

  • @179

you been a sony playstaion fan snce1995. Thats very nice, i have been sony fan since 1947 way before your time i suppose. what eu get and what usa is comaparing apples to oranges. Or kumquats to kiwis what ever floats your diet.. Its not going to be same my friend, never has, never will,, dont count on it.

All those games they got free we got 1st on a discount.. Nothing complain about unlless you wanted it free. Psn+ is written up different in all the area sony does buisness.. So to sit and say i want his or that now.. it quite silly becuase it already been here and it will come back. So nothing complain/cry about.. Unless you want help cut these onions

    Mcbuttz78

  • *sighs* No one is ever satisfied. The people on this blog are possibly more fortunate that thousand or even millions of people world wide. Yet, people still complain here. *sighs*

People at Playstation, keep doing a good job. Rise above hate!

  • mcbuttz78: “Its not going to be same my friend, never has, never will,, dont count on it.”

That is, until the New World Order!!! :O

    Hee hee, just kidding…

Seriously though, wouldn’t it be funny if all regions were merged into one? Then these idiots would complain that there’s not enough variety in the marketplace… :|

  • @ossiecastro5

    Agreed, 100%!!!

  • i’m still wainting for the (false) sales of last week…and $14,99 for a PS2 title…really?

  • Thank you Kristine! Just on the phone now getting it all resolved. I have to call during business hours but all should be ok. I did spend $74.98 on Nov. 22, I double checked to be sure.

@RadicalEnigma: I wasn’t even aware of the sale until I seen a comment on one of the blogs. I had to go back through blog posts to actually find details because I didn’t know what the days were for the promo. Even if you check back now there was really only one blog post that officially mentions the promo. I had to double check that as well to make sure I did purchase in the promo’s time frame.

You’d really think though, that they could just email instead of me having to call during office hours to talk to the right level of authority. Just send a little email saying: hey buddy! This guy called last night. He didn’t get his $10 voucher but he TOTALLY should! Thanx. – The Nightshift
Simple enough? This having the customer call back at a later inconvenience thing just to probably go through the same steps all over again is very unfriendly to the consumer.

  • No complaints here. If I really wanted the games at EU I’d subscribe there, rent or buy them. Too many options for me to be butthurt over what they have and what we have not. It wasn’t too long ago that SCEE got the short end of the stick on many PS features and games, so it’s nice to see them getting some love.

I guess this is a nice problem to have. Before I use to pay $60/year on the other console just to get ZERO games. That sucked donkeys.

  • Uncharted: Fight for Fortune demo, i will be checking that out this week and cool about SSFIV:AE.

i have been waiting for weeks for the port royale 3 DLC, kalypso said it was sent to sony, any info on when it is coming would be awesome, or even the patch 1.2 for the game as it is not playable until the patch comes, thanks.

  • ♥_♥ GTA SA is finally compatible with the PS3 platform. Now we don’t need the backwards compatible console version to play it. We’ll be able to enjoy Carl Johnson’s feats in the best possible way. Thanks SONY.

  • Big Sky demo is where?

  • Again, we see another case of GREEDY, OVER PRICED, RIPPING OFF THE CONSUMER AND ANTI CONSUMER practices. Why? because enough consumer are idiots and don’t care ignore the negatives done by companies and shockingly praise and still it/purchase it. And by doing that it tells companies enough consumers are idiots so they continue on doing these type of things and keep on seeing how far they can push and that’s why things keep getting worse.

Who ever buys this is a complete idiot. You can get a brand new, PHYSICAL version (which cost more to release) of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas in the GTA: The Trilogy for PS2 for $20 which means you can get each game for around $6.50.

  • This is why Sony removed PS2 BC, to be GREEDY, RIPPING OFF THE CONSUMER AND ANTI CONSUMER by having the only way we can play PS2 games on our PS3 is if we REBUY the games we already paid for by “Collection” or “Classics.” And why hasn’t PS2 BC come back yet? because enough consumers are idiots, don’t do anything about the removal of PS2 BC, praise it and rebuy games they already paid for. For the idiots who think PS2 BC was removed to reduce costs, Sony THEMSELVES said that wasn’t the reason. The only other logical reason is above.

Sorry if that post may have sounded rude in some parts but I’m SO upset and LIVID about all the negatives, greedy, ripping off the consumer and anti consumer practices in video games today, and of all the dumb consumers who ignore them, praise them and support them which is the reason why things keep on getting worse.

  • There are a couple issues on the store I ran into with the Gran Turismo 5 DLC when I went to buy something.

    1) A couple of the tracks you can buy aren’t on the store, though that wasn’t my problem because I already have them anyway. But yeah, DLC for the game is missing. And…..

    2) There’s a major problem with the paint pack DLC. That’s what I wen’t to buy, again. It’s supposed o be purchasable multiple times. Evey time you repurchase it, you get a whole nother set of paint chips. But you can’t buy more now. Since it shows you bought it already, you can’t buy it again. This is an issue. I REALLY need some more pastel purple here. lol……seriously though…..I do need some.

  • Hello dear sony and it’s moderators

We would like a kind answer about the real reason why we have seen not a single new PSone classic title on vita for the last 6-8 weeks ?

You say Open to everyone, but don’t be a jerk. <<< and Comments are the lifeblood of the PlayStation.Blog, and we encourage you to keep the conversation going in a relevant, constructive way. .

I am doing my best, yet I see no resond at all from you end.

is this as we feared ? anti-consumer practices ? you know, locking us off PSone titles and when it is out, they overpriced or something etc.

no wonder why vita is suffering, not because sony doesn't support it, no cos sony is dropping the BC on classic and psp unlike the other companies ad their handles.

  • @Tesal2005

I doubt we’ll hear an answer from these clowns no matter how polite we are in our argument. Every week this argument gets swept under the rug with them not giving any kind of satisfactory answer. It seems SCEA doesn’t care and still loves being bullied by Activision.

  • So when did this website stop being a blog and become a consumer complaint department? Day 1 launch?

I guess all the happy campers are enjoying their games too much to bother hanging out here.

  • great update cant wait to buy GTASA l8r but we need me games for the Vita.
Could you guys add Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker to the Vita Store and also Mod Nation Racers in the near future
