  • PS VIta needs love too! :(

I understand that we don’t have a lot of Vita game available, but seriously, there are a ton of PSP and PsONE games. Excellent games, btw. Not even some discount? I would buy Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy and many others if they had some discount.

  • lol @ Aldebra. Oh no, you are going to jump ship and go with a company that makes you pay to play online and party chat? OH no!!!!!! Please don’t go!

    LOL. Such petty “threats”

  • Lol they set they polls to private now because “Nothing for me this week” keeps winning. Maybe if you wouldn’t give us these trash updates and trash games, people wouldn’t be so upset. Common sense is not the strong suit of Sony and their community manager, if you can even call yourself that.

  • It’s interesting to see that the lowest voted genres in the poll are the genres that we have been getting a lot of the past few months. Clearly we don’t want fighting games, we don’t want puzzle games (excluding puzzle adventure), and we don’t want sports games. So stop giving us those types of games.

Across 4 different sub-genres, 43% of people said they want RPG’s. There is also notable interest in Action-Adventure, FPS, Platformers, and Puzzle Adventure. Together all these genres, including RPG’s, make up for 81% of the votes. Whereas the remaining 19% are the main types of games we have been getting. That should be a very clear indication that the Plus staff is out of touch with what Plus subscribers actually want. In the future, focus on these genres that the vast majority of people are saying they want. That is how you keep customers happy. If you can’t give us the same games as EU, fine, that’s understandable. But at least give us the games we want. And no more stinkers like Chronovolt, which has a 40% metacritic rating, and a 3.5/10 user rating. We don’t want crap.

  • @blakseed. I do appreciate your opinion, but, the thing is, I’m not happy with the value I get from the psn plus subscription. It is true, the ps network as a service is superb, but the plus program has been (my personal opinion here) disappointing. I’m really hoping this changes, but if it doesn’t, then I rather go with a different console and try something new, or I go back to the pc gaming. There’s still room for improvement, but if not, I will reconsider other options, and I know a couple of people that are thinking in a similar manner.

  • The content is bad enough, but this >> “with another strong offering”. Now that’s just insulting our intelligence, Morgan. The biggest mistake I made was getting a 1 year membership.

  • GOW Beta is a good addition, but we knew it was coming.

I’m not a MM fan, but I appreciate they are solid hardcore, “old skool” games that some people still get a kick out of, so you get A+ for at least trying to give us a game we might like, instead of literally chosing the games that would get 0% of votes on a poll of “What game would you like to see in Plus?”.

That said, the fact that the poll results are hidden, is rather transparent. The response to plus has been overwhelmingly negative in recent months, and you don’t want us knowing that we are in the majority when we think the offerings are awful. Your comments about “feedback about feedback” is rhetoric to cover your own butts, as all you would have to do is filter out these comments by simply not using them as data.

  • Also, you need to stop leaving the Vita games until the end of the month. If you want to keep your Vita subscribers then you need to treat them like they matter, like they’re important. They’re supposed to be getting 3 games a month, just like the PS3 Plus, yet in December they waited until the end of the month for only 2 games, 1 of which was very poor. There should be Plus updates 3 weeks a month, each update should have 1 PS3 game and 1 Vita game. That’s only fair.

  • A serious issue though Morgan: You said in Dec that by the end of the month, we would have offerings matching that of the EU Plus people (though measured on a seriously biased “quality” metric)…even the most gullible of gamer would call you a big fat liar. Why are you continuously lying to us? Why not just be honest and say “Look, we’re working on it, we’re sorry we can’t be as good as the EU store yet, but here are A, B and C on why we intend to make Plus great again!”. (If there is indeed anything you doing other than nothing to make Plus better).

  • Thank goodness im a wacko trophy hunter. PS+ offerings since day one has helped me reach 10,000 trophies..
Keep Shoveling the games out PS+! Good or bad

  • Morgan’s job title should be changed to “Community Spinster”. Clearly his only job is to lie and try to suppress all the negative backlash they receive for the horrible job the North American team is doing.

  • Just wanted to let you know that I’m very happy with the discounts at the moment, I just picked up Arkham city which, I think, expires tomorrow and I just wanted to let you know that it included the Catwoman DLC in the sale price of 14 dollars which was one of the reasons I held off until today cos I wanted to see if we’d get some kind of GOTY version for the same price or even free for PS Plus US members but bought it anyway, well worth the money, ASS CREED II too for the deluxe version. I bought Mortal Kombat for 14 dollars the other week too, It would have been very nice to have gotten these games free as they did in Europe but I’m still not complaining.
Thanks PS Plus, keep up the good work.

  • @drGiggles,

I voted “nothing for me” last week, onyl because sports games aren’t my thing, doesn’t make them bad or trash games.

Though I later did download NBA Jam, and guess what? ITS FUN. Wish I could have my vote back and vote for that.

Point is, just because someone votes “nothing for me” doesn’t mean they are doing so because they think the games is bad, just not interested in it.

  • @SN_Art – LBP. I’ll admit had fun with it. Infamous 2. Fantastic game, Starhawk, never got the chance for it. BIOSHOCK2 COMPLETE GARBAGE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. Street fighter, yeah its a classic but in the new era, it takes up TONS of space and not even redone for HD c’mon now. Now, as to say it is more of a rental service these non HD redone classics are not cutting it. really not. Then compare what we get to EU’s exclusive’s we get garbage. then compare that to they’re getting what we just got even more pathetic and they pay what $10 more with the currency exchange in effect. So you complain about people that aren’t satisfied, hmph Negative feedback is what moves this foward, a number of people aren’t satisfied, it’s only bad for Sony’s business. Also like probably many others that are complaining we’re not financially stable enough to get all the games we want, we don’t expect the exact games we’d like but at least for Sony to show some class and deliver on what they sell.

  • @nolo451 – and that would also mean just because they voted for the other things doesn’t necessary make them good picks either just the fact they got the most out of it…. People try to manipulate it. There is various perspectives of why people voted for this and that, The fact remaining is that the point of having nothing for me this week is to give negative feedback saying I didn’t find the other two useful. No matter what its probably most likely how they take it and the point of adding it in the poll saying those people are unsatisfied.

  • Looking forward to mega man 9 & 10. Nice to see some additional polls to leave feedback too…

  • Honestly – like most of these i gave them a fair try. but if megaman doesn’t suit me. I have my head wrapped up in jetpack joyride…. Its annoying addicting.

  • @OniJsan

Yes let them shovel out bad games just so we can have trophies for games we don’t care about or enjoy…. (that was sarcasm btw)

  • @ razsam – Yeahhhhhh its technically not the same monthy fee. but its close. With the currency differences they pay a little bit more. But agree they are getting 3 of the games this month we got last month. shocker.

  • Not a bad week, I got into the GoW beta through the social game and it is a lot of fun… looking forward to the Megaman games but I am more of a Megaman X type of person :)

  • Again could new ideas be posted on the Share portion of the blog? give us the ability to download 720p HD videos from the PSN store on PS Vita and add the functionality to instantly add new games to be automatically uploaded to the cloud once you start them.

  • US exclusive retail PS3 games since IGC started

    King of Fighters XIII
    Super Street Fighter 4

EU exclusive retail PS3 games since IGC started

    Batman: Arkham City
    Bulletstorm
    Crysis 2
    Darksiders
    Dead Space 2
    Deus Ex: Human Revolution
    Mortal Kombat
    Motorstorm Apocalypse
    Red Dead Redemption
    Vanquish

WHAT A FLIPPING JOKE! How can they justify treating an entire segment of their customer base with such disrespect? And before you go saying that EU gets better games because their PS+ sub is $10 more expensive, they routinely get offered 25% a year’s sub of PS+. In fact, they have that deal going on right now. So it’s actually CHEAPER than this garbage North American plus sub. Not only that, they get better and newer PSN games as well. They get games that are brand new all the time. For January they get Guardians of Middle Earth, which just came out mid-December. This whole service is such a dam joke for people who live in North America. Sony I hope you go bankrupt.

  • Wait…Are people trolling the polls? Fighting Games actually got votes? Didn’t y’all get enough to last a lifetime from plus these last few months? Jeez.

  • @Morgan, I have a question. My subscribe just went down, and I’m still playing some old IGC that are no longer available. If I renew my subscription, those games would still be available for me? The ones that I have installed and some others, from the early days? Those games that we’re once given, are still available as long as I am a member since the day they’re launched? Such as Saints Row, Just Cause…

  • I know by not renewing my PS PLUS subscription is not going to hurt Sony of America. But, when I leave US PS PLUS for Europe PS PLUS, now that got to sting. I’m sorry but we are both paying $50.00 a year and when EU PS PLUS are getting more PS3 retails games then US, then there’s something wrong. US PS PLUS has been trash, don’t know how you guys still have jobs. You say you are listen but week after week its the same crappy junks games over and over again.

  • “2013 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year for PlayStation Plus members”…

    Are you serious?

Do you know the titles that European subscribers received FOR FREE (not a discount, FREE) the last few months? Batman Arkham City, Red Dead Redemption, Mortal Kombat, Crysis 2, Vanquish, Darkisders, Motorstorm Apocalypse… Meanwhile, we get old games like Bioshock 2, or cheap games from past generations (as Megaman)

When we’ll receive good PSN titles like Europe?

  • I love that the polls seem to be taking a bigger role in these posts and that is always a good idea. I would love to see the ability to upgrade a secondary account to a master account and a new PS Store for the PS Vita.

  • @WanyaRolf

Same thing happened to me a couple months ago. As long as you downloaded the games you’re asking about when they were on plus they’ll be available again when you re-sub

  • That all ? Better give great discount for PSN game . this week…. OMG

  • @WanyaRolf although zultan beat me to it, yes. same thing happened to me. I had free month trial last jan. found out they expired (pissed) then I re-subscribed in oct. and got them back… Just making sure you got the answer. b/c I answered the poll thing 5 times and it went by un noticed.

  • Also, whenever possible it would be great if you guys could offer a discount on DLC for IGC games for those that already own the games. So they could have the option to redeem the full game or take advantage of a discount on DLC/Season Pass.

  • @Kchow23 actually like morgan said they’re trying to reduce the effects of the poll. which is primarily why we can’t see the results of the ones that would create controversy amongst the community, although it plays a role its not a main one they count on

  • @drGiggless – honestly they probably do that more to get more subscribers during the lowest times, and it pays EU off for themselves. Also doesn’t necessary mean a majority of their plus got it 25% off. I do agree the comparison is unbearable to look at.

  • @432 He didn’t say that they are reducing the effect that the polls have on Plus but instead that it will be gradual. Also that he made it private so people would stop complaining about it in the comments.

  • @408
It doesn’t say PS Vita will get 3 games/month anywhere. The Vita’s library isn’t big, so 2 games a month is pretty good.

    @426

Europe got Bioshock 2 this month. It’s there to promote Bioshock Infinite, so it makes sense. For all we know, we could get Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2 before their sequels are out. Megaman 9 and 10 are current-gen games that play and look like the old MM games.

    @422
If Europe’s IGC was the same as ours, would you be complaining so much? Probably not. I bet US PS+ is paying off for most people here, yet they feel the need to constantly compare the 2 regions. You can complain all you want and the situation still won’t change.

Believe it or not, there is reason to prefer PSN games over PS3 games. PS3 games go on sale more often, and those available in the IGC are generally without DLC. Most of them have complete or GOTY editions available for $20 or less in stores, so why is it such a big deal that we miss out on that? Some PSN games hardly ever go on sale — something Sony should fix — and they can’t be rented.

  • @423
3 fighting games(VF5, KoFXIII, SSF4) over the course of 6 months isn’t a lot. It’s only a lot by PSN standards because there aren’t that many games on the store. At least they’re top-tier fighting games. I don’t think there’s ever been a bad one on PS+, so fighting game fans must be happy.

  • Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 000 hi

Sharing the response I gave in the first page of the comments to share the reason why some of the polls results are locked.
I’d like the comments to be less about the polls, and more about the actual content of the update. When comments start to talk just about results of the polls, and then I go and collect feedback from the comments, then the data is less powerful and informative to share with the Plus team. If the data I get is feedback about poll results, then well, it’s another filter to your detailed thoughts to the Plus team.
To lessen this, yep, I set the results to private for these polls. Cast your vote, know that feedback takes time (we can never move the ship around too crazy as Plus continues to grow at an astounding rate, and we don’t want to rock the boat too quickly), and leave feedback in the comments about whether you liked the update, or not, and of most importantly, why.
    Thanks!”

Thats not trying to reduce the significance of the poll feedback?

  • OP I messed up put the wrong copy and paste, forgive my ignorance I’m using my ps browser at the moment. But its all quoted from him,

  • Plus runs out for me in the morning. Sadly I will not be renewing. I may however join the EU Plus.

  • to add on your can read exactly what he replied to on those comments about the polls

  • @ God-Of-Lyf

I envy you. I’m stuck w/ this garbage all the way til September. Unfortunately there is no way to get a refund on my remaining sub and no way to switch regions and pay the difference in price. The whole thing is a freakin scam to get people to pay for both NA & EU subs because the North American one is worthless garbage.

  • Just jumped on PS+ and really loving it. Adding it to Vita made it a no-brainer for me. I have one question, in the poll question asking about our favorite content in December there’s nothing for Vita. I really like Gravity Rush and Golden Abyss so it would have been good to vote for those two.
    And awesome, can’t wait to play MM9 & 10. I loved 2 & 3. Plus GOW:A :) So beautiful.

  • Mega Man ? That’s ridiculous…

  • Next week they’ll probably hide the comments section, since they’d rather just ignore the problem then do something about it.

  • @ drGiggles.

If you seriously believe that, I bet your the type of person that sends chain mail messages to friends because the VP of Sony said if you sent it to all you friends, you would get $20 in your PSN wallet.

    ie….dumb.

  • DrGiggles, you are a joke!

Good riddance, I hope you leave, so we don’t have to hear your ridiculous conspiracy theories. The other dunces can join you too.

LOL, I am glad you think this is trash, I think its a good deal on top of the cloud storage and daily updates. At lest I have the satisfaction of knowing you feel you are getting ripped off.

  • You can hide all the poll results you like, reading through 8 pages of opinions tells us The People Are Not Happy.

  • @AsiaQatar

Yes….the entire 2% of the psplus subscribers that decided to post on here………

I wish folks really respected the greatness that are games like Retro City Rampage(amazing btw…especially if you grew up in the 80’s lol) and the Mega Man titles. While they aren’t graphical powerhouses the gameplay is what games are all about. And NBA Jam On Fire?! Fugetaboutit! That game is out of this world awesome and hilarious. Any gamer worth their weight in salt would be appreciative of the collection put towards us for the amount of money spent. Would I like games like Batman or Red Dead or Vanquish? Sure…..but most gamers that would have wanted them would have bought them when released……like I did. :D Cheers!
